Detroit Tigers beat New York Yankees 8-1 at Yankee Stadium. Gleyber Torres tallied 3 RBI while Jack Flaherty tossed 5 scoreless innings. Detroit Tigers bats came alive late scoring 5-runs in the top of the 8th inning thanks to home runs from Riley Greene and Kerry Carpenter. Parker Meadows added an RBI single, while Colt Keith hit a pinch-hit two-run homer to continue the onslaught of runs late in the game for the second straight night. Detroit Tigers have taken the first two games of the series and will go for the sweep tomorrow night at Yankee Stadium in New York.
