40. Why Biggest Loser Contestants Don't Have Reunions

The Thyroid (and Hormone) Fixer Podcast: Thyropause, Menopause, Metabolism and How to Fix It

Wonder why you don’t see a Biggest Losers reunion after the Biggest Loser show? It’s because they have gained most of their weight back. The fact is they are put through extremely strict reduced calorie diets and extremely strict and long exercise programs at the Biggest Loser House. In the beginning they lose weight at a rapid pace. But while doing insane things to lose weight fast, they increase cortisol level, cause insulin resistance, mess up thyroid hormones, and in the end put their body in fat storage mode. All their body wants to do is survive. The metabolism is so reduced that when they start eating normally, they rapidly gain weight and fat back.

So, what’s the answer? The journey to good health takes time. Do not obsess on calories. Do not over exercise. Eat really good food, higher in good fats, enough of good protein, and lower in carbs.

Throw away the calorie counters. Celebrate the small victories because they add up to the Biggest Winner…you! I can help you on your journey to your best health. Connect with me using the links below!!
