I purchased netting in the shape of bags over the internet. Game changer!!! The netting is so fine it’s easy to lift up a side to pick the berries, since branches don’t get stuck like previous netting I’ve had. Some even have zippers. I put 4 poles up around the bush, then drape the netting-bags over them, then anchor the netting on the ground with more poles or whatever is handy. The fine netting even keeps some insects away, but that means the ones inside the area when you net the bush can’t escape. I go back later and crush them as they press against the top of the bags. If you buy much bigger size bag-nets & poles than you need, you should be set for years, & your bushes won’t be trying to grow through the net. Just be sure to anchor them well again after picking because strong winds have occasionally removed mine. Fortunately, so far I’ve rebagged the bushes before the harvest was noticeably reduced. Fav varieties: Elizabeth & Spartan
