Hemos realizado aquí, un análisis teórico de un número considerable de las investigaciones periodísticas realizadas con la cámara oculta en Argentina, circunscribiéndolas al marco jurídico vigente y a las pautas éticas profesionales y señalando los casos en que estos límites son traspasados.
Sobre la base de los diferentes casos investigados según esta modalidad, hemos recurrido al marco legal vigente para determinar en qué casos el equipo periodístico se enfrenta a los límites legales para actuar durante el procedimiento de la investigación; y debido a la falta de precisión jurídica, en algunos casos, nos limitamos a señalar las consideraciones que tienen como único límite, la conciencia del profesional: la ética.
