"Shri Krishna Govinda" is a particularly popular kirtan. Chanting Mantra with Shri Krishna Govinda is especially meditative and touches the heart. In the first verse Krishna is called as Govinda, as a good shepherd. Krishna is Natha, great master. He is Narayana, in all beings. And he is Vasudeva, the light of all creatures. You can sing the second verse, but you can also limit yourself to the first verse. "Gurudev Gurunath Sharanam Mama Om. Oh my Guru, you are Deva, luminous, you are Natha, my great master. Sharanam Mama. You are my refuge. Om. Within you is everything."
