Douglas Hickernell was driving home, late one night, in 2006, on Highway 199, in Grant's Pass, Oregon, when something happened that he never thought would happen. When he got to the spot, on Highway 199, where Monkey Creek empties into the Smith River, he had the road all to himself. That is, there weren't any other vehicles in sight. While there might not have been any other vehicles in sight there, that night, he wasn't alone. As he would soon find out, a massive, 5-foot wide Sasquatch was on the road with him there.
