POSTCAST: Mets BATTLE Their Way To SEVENTH Straight Win
Make it seven in a row for the New York Mets, as they finished off a sweep of the San Francisco Giants by defeating them 5-3.
It was a night to remember for Ronny Mauricio. He went 4-for-4 including the game-tying home run in the 7th and a double in the 9th to setup an insurance run.
In fact, the entire bottom of the order was the spark for the offense. Jeff McNeil, Starling Marte, Francisco Alvarez and Mauricio all had multi-hit games and tallied 8 of the Mets 12 hits.
Kodai Senga got the start for New York and labored through five innings. A pair of mistakes to Matt Chapman were responsible for the 3 earned runs allowed. But the Mets bullpen continued to be dominate and shut the door over the final four frames.
It's a short trip to San Diego to continue this road trip, as the Mets go for their 8th straight win on Monday night.
