Janice Kwan is a general internist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. After completing medical school and residency in her hometown at the University of Toronto, she pursued a Master of Public Health at Harvard University and a fellowship with the Veterans Affairs Quality Scholars program. In 2016, she was awarded the inaugural research fellowship in diagnostic excellence with the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine. Her research focuses broadly on improving the quality of care of general medical patients, and includes the study of diagnostic safety, test result follow-up, computerized decision support systems, and medication reconciliation.
