In 1982 Mellen Thomas died of terminal brain cancer and survived to tell about it. While in hospice care Mellen died for at least an hour and a half before he returned to his body.
While his body lay lifeless on his bed his consciousness was still very much awake. First he journeyed through hell consciousness for what seemed like an eternity. While he was there he learned to make peace with his present life.
Then, when we was rescued my a Golden Angel, Mellen Thomas had an encounter with God. He was able to ask many questions that had always plagued him. One of which was "why are humans so dark and doomed? The answer he received but shocked him and touched him to his core.
