Comment on 10 Carrot Growing Problems and How to Prevent Them by Chuck Symons

The Beginner's Garden with Jill McSheehy

I plant my carrots spaced 3″ with a 1 foot block. I then make a dimple in the soil. Put a few seeds in each dimple. Then I cover the seeds with worm castings to cover the seeds. It helps keep them moist till sprouting. I have great success. Then cut the extra seedling leaving the best one. Excellent carrots with no crowding.
