In this episode Kerry and Dr. Kent Jackson explore how to understand poetry in the Old Testament so that you can get more out of Isaiah. This will be a key to helping you get more out of Isaiah. Then Kerry discusses Isaiah chapter 1 and how it is a preface that is designed to prepare you for the entire book. It is set in a specific historical context at the time of the near destruction of Jerusalem, and Kerry helps you see what it has to teach you about Isaiah and about yourself and your relationship with God. He also teaches a bit about multiple fulfillment prophecies and how historical context can help you understand Isaiah. Then Kerry and Dr. John Howell discuss Isaiah's call in Isaiah 6 and the symbols that bring that story to life.
