She opens up about her family's history of substance abuse and her own struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, including arrests and dangerous incidents. We discuss how she chooses and assesses her crew even before leaving on a charter, determining who to invest in and how to bring out the best in them. At sea, things happen. She will talk about how much perseverance and trust are needed to solve a really difficult challenge because so much can go wrong no matter how much planning and training you do.
