"This is a lesson to all people out there to keep the faith. Sometimes even though what you think you might want, might not be what's for you. As my mother always said to me, 'What's for you won't pass you by.' Sometimes we just need to have a little patience. And sometimes that patience can not just be weeks or months but it can be years. I've always thought I'm meant to be in the sport. I have to be in the sport. That's not being egotistical. It's good to have passionate people in this sport. That's what we need. I feel like I can bring that and I'm so grateful now that I can bring it through CITIUS."
David McCarthy is CITIUS MAG’s Europe correspondent right now. We’ve had him at On Track Nights in London and Paris. He was at the Paris and Florence Diamond League. He secured interviews with Jakob Ingebrigtsen and his father Gjert, which have taken off on our YouTube channel but you’ll also be able to listen to within this episode.
