But finally, one player has stood up against the spirit of the age and stood tall for his religion. Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov refused to wear a “Pride”-inspired rainbow jersey during warm-ups before a recent game. Nearly immediately, the Russian defenseman was under attack from the LGBTQ mafia and nearly the entirety of the NHL, including one prominent Canadian sportscaster, who proclaimed, “People will hide behind ideologies, like amazingly enough, religion. But I’m strong on this one and quite comfortable. Either you are for equality or you’re on the wrong side of history.
