We’re the show for people who enjoy discovering hidden elements that impact our lives in the most unexpected ways, and today we’re taking a look at how Carrie Diaz Eaton and colleagues use the tool set of mathematics to reflect on STEM (science, technology, engineering, & mathematics) policy documents. Specifically, Carrie used her mathematical know-how to quantify how a policy document from the National Academies of Science, Medicine, and Engineering was altered between the interim and final report. And, what those changes meant for issues of including diverse audiences in STEM.
