🚨 Washington Spirit names Kris Ward permanent head coach (Soccer 12/20)
The Washington Spirit announced Monday morning that acting head coach Kris Ward has been promoted to the permanent head coach position ahead of the 2022 season. Ward took over as acting head coach of Spirit in August and went 9-2-3 since he started - both losses coming as COVID-19 forfeit - and ultimately winning the NWSL Championship for the first time in club history.
