As part of our celebration of the summer of 1988, we can't leave out the "Dirty Dancing" Soundtrack, which was one of the top overall selling for that summer! With a mixture of all time classics from the 50s and 60s, and some new instant 80s classics (along with a few cheaper songs) this group of songs from a small budget movie became a major album for that year. So, prepare to have the time of your life with us as we go track by track through this great soundtrack!

After George Michael left Wham! in 1986, his future seemed a bit unsure. He released his first solo album in 1987 and it was a huge success. The album displayed an incredible range in style, with each song achieving success. As we continue our celebration of the summer of 1988, we remember the best selling album of 1988, "Faith'!

In 1988, Living Colour released an album that would simmer for nearly a full year before kicking down the door of the standard rock scene with one of the biggest pounding rock anthems of the decade. "Cult of Personality" became their biggest hit and changed the idea of what a rock band should look and sound like. Vernon Reid's blistering guitars and Corey Glover's soulful voice, along with some help from Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson, helped push this album over the top.
