Today’s episode is a GaryVee TV Classic. The recent events in the stock market with GameStop and r/wallstreetbets is just another example of the power of the internet. It is hard for people to truly comprehend the internet on a daily basis until we see events like this occur. The internet is enabling like-minded people who would have never met, to ban together and create real change. The internet is removing the middle man and taking power away from the traditional gate-keepers and allowing everyday people's voices to be heard whether it's through social media, forums, or in this case, market manipulation.

Today’s episode is a GaryVee TV Classic. If you aren't thinking of your business as a media company in 2021, you are at a disadvantage to any business that is. Being at the mercy of someone else's platform puts you in a position of vulnerability and lack of leverage versus your competitors. Too many businesses are thinking about creating ads for the Wall Street Journal when they need to start thinking of themselves as the WSJ. Whoever has the platform with the most attention gets to decide what the market does and does not see. This is an extremely important concept and will be fundamental to the success of so many businesses and personal brands! Enjoy! Let me know what you thought.

Today’s episode is a GaryVee TV Classic. The myth that every business needs a "social cause" or "non-profit objective" to be successful is not true. Just because you aren't flaunting your charity work as a selling point for your business that doesn't mean your business will be less successful. It's a fine line but many businesses use their "social cause" as an excuse to raise their prices and they actually do less in terms of charities than businesses that operate normally. Social causes are great if they are genuine but don't feel like you need to have one to be successful. Enjoy! Let me know what you thought.

Today’s episode is a GaryVee TV Classic. When you have very little experience or professional knowledge to offer, the one thing you can always do is offer your time. The value you get from an internship or similar experience is not in the actual tasks you are being assigned, but in the people and connections, you make while working. Use these opportunities as a way to meet like-minded people and build a real connection with them. When you are early on in your career, your network, and the people who associate with you are going to be dramatically more important than what your resume says you have done. Enjoy! The truth is that is so unlikely and is not a realistic or practical way of building your following. There are no shortcuts or a secret formula to make your videos instantly go viral, otherwise, everyone would do it. The real strategy of going viral is to stop worrying about going viral. Make content that you enjoy making, brings value to your audience, engage with your followers, build a genuine community. Then maybe your dedicated fanbase will amplify your content enough for you to have a "viral moment"

Today’s episode is a GaryVee TV Classic! No matter what you are trying to do, whether that raise money for a charity, or run for mayor, or sell a product, you need the attention of the end consumer to do so. Nothing you say or do will matter unless you can get the attention of the person you are trying to reach out to. You could have the best milkshake in the world but nobody will know about it if you are unable to keep the attention. Every business's #1 asset is its ability to garner the attention of others. Once you realize this, you will think very differently about your marketing strategies and start putting a lot more time and effort into creating content for people on the internet that will not only bring value but catch their attention long enough to pull them away from the thousands of other people trying to do the exact same thing.
