In this interview, Dylan talks to professional runner, Hayden Hawks (HOKA). Hayden lives in Utah, but spends much of his summer with his family training in France. Injury took Hayden out of the Western States 100 in June, but he's feeling strong heading into UTMB. After two wins at CCC including the 2024 CCC, Hayden has performed better than almost anyone on these trails. He DNF'd at the 2019 UTMB, but has spent the past 6 years learning how to train and race here. Can he take the win on the full loop around the mountain this year? No doubt he enters the race as one of this year's favorites.

In this interview, Dylan talks to professional runner Heather Jackson (HOKA) for a pre-race interview. Heather recently won the Unbound XL 350 mile gravel race just a few short weeks ago. Heather comes into Western States this year as a more seasoned trail runner, and it's hard not to route for this incredible multi-sport phenom. This year's training has been different for Heather, she's learned a lot, and hopes to perform at a very high level.

In this interview, Dylan talks to professional runner and 2024 UTMB champion, Vincent Bouillard (HOKA athlete & employee) for a pre-race interview. Vincent is joined by his wife and running industry veteran, Kamilah Journet. Vincent won UTMB in 2024 in what many consider the breakout performance of the year. Those who knew Vincent, were not surprised, but most of the trail running world watched along in awe as a humble, longtime HOKA employee ran away with the race and won UTMB. Vincent signed with HOKA as an athlete earlier this year so he can focus more on running, while still maintaining his high powered job. Vincent raced his way into Western States at Chainti by UTMB in March and this will be his first go at the race on Saturday. Kamilah is currently works at Salomon in Annecy, France. It was fun to hear from Kamilah on how things have changed since last August and how they've navigated this exciting time as a family. They share that they are welcoming their first child later this year, which changes how they will navigate life moving forward.

Dylan sits down for a post-race interview with the women's podium from today's Broken Arrow 46k: Champion Jennifer Lichter (The North Face), 2nd place Helen Mino Faukner (HOKA) and 3rd place Dani Moreno (Terrex) after such a close race with wildly impressive performances across the board.
