Rita Wilson has an amazing story as a first generation American. She opens up about her parent’s and her dad’s struggle making it to America from Bulgaria and the values it instilled in her. Rita just released her new album called, Rita Wilson Now & Forever: Duets.  She tells the stories behind her duets with Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Jimmie Allen and more! Rita has starred in some of the most beloved ’80s, ’90s and 2000’s movies. She shares her stories of her first job as a ticket taker, how she got started acting, her role on the Brady Bunch and what clicked for her to start songwriting in Nashville and how she was so nervous to play the Opry for the first time.

Episode 1 features artist Graham Nancarrow – who has a band called The Goddamn Saints. Graham is from San Diego and moved to Nashville 5 years ago with hopes to grow all-around as an artist. Kevin and Graham dive into his life on the road as an independent artist, including the struggles of a few break downs and trying to book his own shows. Graham also discusses his variety of venues and talent he’s played with over the years, from Stagecoach with Chris Stapleton to Broadway with tourists. The guys also discuss Grahams new single and the inspiration behind his songwriting.

Unsigned and Independent is a six episode season podcast hosted by Kevin O’Connell that features unsigned and independent artists and bands in Nashville. The purpose of this podcast is to highlight the journey and grind musicians go through trying to make it in the industry; the journey most fans don’t see leading up to national success. People move to music city from all over the country to chase something they have only dreamed of – making music and performing for a living. This podcast will dive into stories on the road, late nights and early mornings on the infamous Broadway, their background story, and if there is an ultimate goal for each artist or band. The artists featured on this podcast don’t have the backing of a label or sometimes even management, or a publishing team to handle their bookings, travel, etc.… But what they all have in common is a genuine passion for the love of music and performing. Chapel Hart is made up of  sisters Danica Hart and Devynn Hart, and their cousin Trea Swindle. They are coming off an amazing run after placing in the Top 5 on America’s Got Talent and making their Opry debut with glowing reviews. They talk about how they didn’t want to do AGT at first but what it took to convince them to go to Los Angeles to compete on the show and how crazy it was once they got there. The group sits down to talk to Bobby about getting their start busking on the streets of New Orleans before getting their shot to play a real stage…which was actually at a gentlemen's club. They still live in New Orleans and share what it’s like traveling back and forth to start writing with Nashville songwriters.

Lesly Simon is the General Manager of Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood's record labels, Pearl Records and Gwendolyn Records. She has over 25 years’ experience in the music industry that include jobs from assistant to radio promotions. She talks about her rise in the music ranks in Nashville that lead her to getting the job on Garth and Trisha’s record labels. Lesly shares that in June 2017 she was diagnosed with breast cancer just shortly after getting that new job. She talks about how she has stayed positive even after being told her cancer has returned. 

Lesley is being honored by the American Cancer Society Hope Gala in Bham and is currently raising money for cancer research and patient programs.

Breland went viral in 2019 on TikTok with his song “My Truck” but his journey in music started 10 years before that. Breland sits down with Bobby to talk about how he went from studying business at Georgetown University to moving to Atlanta working as a producer with the vision of becoming an artist. Breland talks about not being taken seriously by the producer he was working with which lead to him taking trips to Nashville and getting cuts with major artists like Keith Urban and Sam Hunt. Breland shares with Bobby his vision and mission to make country music more inclusive and his response to when people question what he is doing is country or not.  His debut album, Cross Country, is set to release early summer.

She was just on The Voice where she turned all four judges’ chairs on her blind audition and ended up in second place overall – unprecedented for an artist in her 50s. Martha Earls has been Kane Brown’s manager since he was just an artist posting covers on Facebook. This was long before signing his first record deal. In addition to Kane Brown she also works with Restless Road, Nightly, Dylan Schneider and Feather. Martha talks about how she got started in music as the office receptionist at a publishing company in Nashville. Ernest is a songwriter and solo artist born and raised in Nashville, TN. He’s written 5 No. 1 for artists like Morgan Wallen, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown and more! He tells Bobby about how the first instrument he picked up was a banjo given to him by his adopted parents and then first started out with a career in hip-hop. He’s now been able to make his Opry debut, have a single climbing up the country charts and just put out a new album called “Flower Shops” that’s available now.
