Cy King is a Raleigh Tennis legend and NC Tennis Hall of Famer.  He played tennis at North Carolina State University, coached the William Peace University women’s tennis team, served as GM of the Raleigh Racquet Club, and worked for the USTA as the USTA Southern Tennis Service Representative for North Carolina. Cy was selected as North Carolina USPTA Pro of the Year in 1996 and was inducted into the NC Tennis Hall of Fame in 2004. He also served as  the President of USTA North Carolina and as President of the North Carolina Tennis Foundation.

Yubie played college tennis and is currently a 4.5 USTA Tennis player.  He captains many USTA teams that went to the state championships, sectionals, and once to Nationals in 2018, along with numerous World Team Tennis that also went to qualifiers and to Nationals in 2016.  In addition to that, he was named North Carolina Captain of the year in 2018.  

In late 2019, he began his pickleball journey.   As a beginner pickleball player, he started as 3.5.  His curiosity about the sport took him out to the courts to learn and practice every day.  He played his first tournament in doubles as a 3.5 and won Gold right away without losing any games and played his second tournament as a 4.0 and won Gold also. After his first two, he started playing 4.5 level, several 5.0s, and even a couple in the professional levels.  He earned several Gold and Silver medals in 4.5s and even though no medals yet at the professional level, he had some great wins.  

Currently, he resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife Mandy, who is also an avid tennis and pickleball player.

In this episode, Erin discusses situations she has had with opponents who she believes did not have the best tennis manners.  Carolyn mostly agrees, but we learned that bad manners can be very subjective!

Are there really issues with exchanging lineups? Do you make your opponent write down the lineup? Has anyone ever switched players on you after you showed them your lineup?
