And as you exhale, notice that the Stillness is still inside. 

The Peace is still within. 

But you're not controlling that breath. 

You're not the one breathing,

you aren't the breath.

All of this is happening in You. 

This voice, these words are happening in You.

"Patanjali declares in the Yoga Sutras that the manifesting symbol for God is Om, nadam, supreme music. According to the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Supreme yogic state is achieved when the nadam or cosmic sound can be heard. The aim of all Hatha Yoga practices is to hear this sound. The practices of yoga should result in a sound body and a sound mind. The true meaning of this goes far beyond the usual understanding of physical and mental health. A truly sound body and mind is tuned to the cosmic vibration. In verse 100 of the fourth chapter in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika we find this sutra: "When one hears the nadam, the quintessence of which is the supreme, the mind then becomes one with that supreme object and is dissolved in it. The ability to listen is essential for God-realization." - Shannon Gannon

It's no longer that voice with its criticisms and judgments,

the labeling and constant complaining. 

Your attention and God are one.

You forget Love and experience fear on account of the body.  The body IS fear.  Fear is having a body-- thinking about it, shielding it, having a vested interest in its survival. Remembering Love, you don't ignore the body, you just feel and know Love where the body is seen, where it is experienced.  You experience the body as Love.  You know only Love is there and that ends your belief in the body (as separate from God), and its fear, and its world.   That’s the real meaning of ‘the end of the world.’ Only God is, and for now, it is appearing as that body reading this message.

Eventually, you stop being the one whose palms are up.

You can't leave the Silence.

There's no thought that can distract you from your Self.

That can make you not be yourself.

You are your self even while you appear to be the one that has all the problems.

The one that's getting older,

the one who's afraid,

who worries about everything.

 Let her worry.

Let him worry.

That's what it does.

But you be the fixer. 

The forgiver, 

the healer.

That's what this Consciousness that You are, is.

That body wanders,

it stumbles,

it falls.

But what you are finds. 

What you are restores.

In prayer, we merely keep returning the divine gaze and we become its reflection, almost in spite of ourselves (2 Corinthians 3:18). The word prayer has often been trivialized by making it into a way of getting what we want. But I use prayer as the umbrella word for any interior journeys or practices that allow us to experience faith, hope, and love within ourselves. It is not a technique for getting things, a pious exercise that somehow makes God happy, or a requirement for entry into heaven. It is much more like practicing heaven now.

What do you hear when thinking stops?

When wanting stops?

 Ask yourself that question and linger in the silence behind the question. 

Who am I when I want nothing?

Before I went to India,

I was told in a very Divine way by someone sent to me,

to come there with an empty heart,

and an empty mind,

not wanting anything,

not desiring anything,

not craving anything,

not seeking solutions or answers,

not seeking anything,

not expecting anything at all.

And I felt it.

I heard that message so clearly.

And of course, the mind came up and I said, "Well, how do I do that? How do I go about doing that?"

And he said, "just Love God."

The Loving replaces the wanting.

It eclipses it.

You just keep quiet.

You go where there are not words,

 and you find the Love (t)here,

 and you place your attention (t)here.

The wanting may still be (t)here,

but your attention is on the Loving,

it's on the having. 

He said, "You come like that,

you come empty and open,

 and you'll get everything you want.

Everything you wanted. 

That's the secret.

Allowing one breath to pour into the other,

You're hearing thoughts that say, "I'm not feeling It", or "this can't be It".

But those thoughts aren't true.

None of them are.

Not even the one that says, 'I am feeling Love'.

You see through that one, too, 

 you breathe through that one, too.

You can even say, 'hypnotism',

or 'only Love', 

not 'Love' and a 'me' feeling It,

The truth is that only the fullness of Love is here,

the fullness of Joy. 

Say those words inside- 

"fullness of Joy". 

And let those words open up, 

until you can feel what they're pointing to on your palms,

in your heart, 

in your feet, 

riding on every breath,

God is.

Who's getting on your nerves lately? What was your last interaction with them like? Feel back into your body posture. How were you standing? How were you sitting? Where were you clenching? What emotion were you holding, tightly? I know it felt like that emotion had a hold on you, but it's always the other way around. Just as these thoughts that are not yours are always flowing through, and you're grasping at them, holding them, believing them, claiming them as who and what you are-- that emotion was just flowing through too.  With much practice, I found that I'm able to wake up in those moments of tightness, and just feel, just be with the tightness, without labeling it, without judging it, without giving it a cause, or trying to remedy it, trying to quell it. Sometimes I close my eyes on the interaction for a second, just to be with the feeling. The interaction is only happening so that you may feel that feeling finally and ask, "Is Love here, too? And feel That. Feel what's just beyond that strong, seemingly negative emotion. I feel My refuge. Feel It with me.
