Chiro Hustle Podcast is a business, mindset, and marketing podcast for chiropractors who want more—from their practices, their profession, and themselves.

Hosted by James Chester and produced by Luke Millett, Chiro Hustle delivers real conversations with chiropractors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders who are actively building successful, principled practices. This is not theory or recycled advice. It’s practical insight from people who have done the work and continue to push chiropractic forward.

Each episode explores what it actually takes to succeed in today’s chiropractic landscape—practice growth, branding, leadership, systems, patient communication, and personal development. Just as important, Chiro Hustle tackles the mindset behind success: discipline, consistency, accountability, and the willingness to stand for chiropractic without apology.

The podcast respects chiropractic’s roots while addressing modern business realities. Whether you’re straight, mixer, cash-based, insurance-based, or somewhere in between, the mission is the same: help chiropractors build influence, impact, and long-term sustainability without compromising their values.

Guests share their wins, failures, and lessons learned—openly and honestly—so listeners can avoid common pitfalls and accelerate their own growth. Students, associates, and seasoned doctors alike will find perspective, motivation, and actionable ideas they can apply immediately.

Chiro Hustle is more than a podcast. It’s a mindset and a movement—encouraging chiropractors to take ownership of their outcomes, lead with integrity, and hustle with purpose.

If you’re serious about chiropractic and committed to building a practice that reflects your values and vision, this podcast is for you.

Dr. Karin is known for her diagnostic skills. If you are looking for a female chiropractor with over 20 years of experience yet keeps on top of current research and new techniques, Drummond Chiropractic is the chiropractic clinic for you. Our Drummond Difference is we have Dr. Karin Drummond. If you are not responding to treatments within a few visits, Dr. Karin and her whole chiropractic expert team will get involved. If you are a patient of any of our Drummond Chiropractic chiropractors, you actually will have the whole Drummond Chiropractic Team at your disposal for the price of one. Our mission is to ensure every patient that walks in our door will find the solutions they are looking for and get the relief they need. On a personal note, Dr. Karin Drummond wanted to become a doctor for as long as she could remember. She loved going to the doctor because they gave her yummy medicine that always made her feel better. But that changed at the tender age of 11 years old. The years of taking that yummy medicine may have helped her feel better, but it was not making her better, it was making her sick. The years of antibiotic prescriptions for common sniffles and colds resulted in IBS so severe that she could not absorb the nutrients from the food she was eating. She went from 110 pounds to 85 pounds. She became so weak that even brushing her hair was exhausting. After a year of this, the medical doctors gave her less than a few months more to live if not resolved. Her uncle, studying to become a chiropractor at the time, encouraged her mom to take Dr. Karin to a chiropractor. Her parents signed paperwork allowing her to be removed from the Hospital (promising they would not sue if she died). After chiropractic and natural remedies, she felt better within a month! Ever since natural remedies and chiropractic have been her passion. Dr. Karin’s Uncle took her to a seminar designed to teach chiropractors how to explain chiropractic to laypeople. When the speaker said about how the power that made the body heals the body, and how keeping the flow open between the mind and body allowed miracle healing to happen completely resonated with her. She had found her calling. Fun fact, Dr. Karin found out during her career that her Great Grand Dad's brother, Dr. Louis Schrank, was a chiropractor. He met and married Gertrude while in Chiropractic College in San Francisco. Drs. Louis and Gertrude Schrank lived in Llano, Texas. She graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria with a bachelor of science degree. She obtained her four-year doctorate of chiropractic degree at the University of Western States. She moved to her husband’s hometown of Bloomington, Indiana in 2000 and has made it her home. She lives at the edge of Bloomington, in the wooded country, with her husband and two teenage children. KD, Dr. Karin's daughter, always helped out in the office, and now is our Business Coordinator. Sam, our office manager, joined Drummond Chiropractic in 2015. Dr. Karin moved Drummond Chiropractic to downtown Bloomington on September 9th, 2019. Dr. Mandi and Dr. Michael McCoy joined her at her new clinic during this time. Dr. Henry joined the team in 2021. Kate, our Front Staff, is our most recent addition. It took years to put together our amazing team, making it the Drummond Difference it is today. The chiropractors and staff all strive to provide a WOW experience. We are proud to be ACE chiropractors (Affordable, Convenient, and Effect). She has been voted her town’s number one chiropractor several times. Passionate about living well, she keeps up with new research in the health field and practices what she preaches. Her patients have told her for years that she needed to write a book because she is such a great source of information on healthy living. Once she discovered how easy it was to publish a book, she decided to take advantage of this medium to help spread her thoughts on living well. Her first book,

Certified in Animal Chiropractic by: Oklahoma Board of Chiropractic Examiners (OBCE) American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA), Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC), and International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (/VCA). Dr. Gregg Coker is a licensed chiropractor living in eastern Oklahoma with his wife, Connie, and their five paint horses, three German shepherds, a Mini Aussie, and 3 cats. After earning Associate of Arts degrees in medicine and business administration and completing 91 hours in microbiology at the University of Oklahoma, he went on to receive both a Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer University in Davenport, Iowa. He launched his practice, Coker Chiropractic, in 1993 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the city where he was born and raised. Enrolling in Zone School of Healing in 2018 was the best decision of my life. The Zone Technique is changing the lives of doctors and patients all over the world. Currently doing podcasts with Dr. Peter Goldman every 4 weeks on the Dr. Charlie Ward show who has over 18 million followers. Dr. Coker's lifelong affinity for animals led him to begin courses on animal chiropractic in 1994 with Sharon Willoughby, D.C., D.V.M. In 2010 he completed his studies at Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic in Wellsville, Kansas, and became certified as an animal chiropractor by the Oklahoma Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, the Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission, and the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. In 2011 he joined the teaching staff at Options for Animals and while there enjoyed introducing veterinarians and chiropractors to the art, science, and philosophy of animal chiropractic. Helping animals feel and function at a higher level brings Dr. Coker “great joy”. His animal patients have included dogs, cats, birds, goats, large snakes, cows, an African lion cub, Siberian tigers, bald eagle, wild owl, kangaroo, etc., and a large variety of horses. A love of the outdoors led to an avid interest in exploring the woods where he lives in search of "treasures"; that he uses in his creative woodworking to fashion everything from rustic benches to functional tables and coatracks to beautiful wall art that he coaxes from driftwood and fallen trees and stumps. He also enjoys gourmet cooking, which he regards as his "true therapy"; and loves to spend time creating or modifying recipes and smoking meats, which he then shares with family and friends.

Born in Florence, Alabama, Dr. Cordie Williams grew up in Seattle, Washington. Following his high school graduation, he served in the United States Marine Corps, earning two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals during his four years there. Upon his honorable discharge, Dr. Williams completed a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of North Alabama. As a young child, Dr. Williams watched his grandfather Cordie Lee Mays pass away on machines as he fed him his last meal. In fact, he watched three of his four grandparents lose their battles with cancer under the medical paradigm – and then almost losing his mother in 2011. This ignited a lifelong passion in him to help people holistically. The trials and tribulations of sickness and loss, much like Dr. Tania Williams’s, only strengthened Dr. Williams his inner desire to help heal and educate society about the body’s innate and internal ability to heal itself. Dr. Williams started his clinical pathway towards becoming a holistic doctor by doing bodywork at Synergy Release Sports for a sports chiropractor, Dr. Michael Hatrak in Alpharetta, Georgia, where he came in contact with several world-renowned athletes in professional sports. As a result, Dr. Williams was fortunate to work with the likes of Brian Westbrook, Hines Ward, Jay Ratliff, Heather Mitts, Charlie Whitehurst, and many others. Soon after, Dr. Williams decided to further his passion for health and wellness by attending Life University in Marietta, Georgia. It was there that Cordie met his future wife, and after four years of dating, along with three holistic wellness-based mission trips together, Drs. Cordie and Tania Williams not only decided to join hands in business but also in marriage. They both strongly believe that families can help heal their bodies from anything – if the barriers preventing optimum health are removed. Health From Within Family Wellness is based on that philosophy – on the power that makes the body heals the body.

From a young age, Dr. Gab was drawn to the work of helping people to live more gently, fully, and naturally in their bodies. She knew that she wanted to pursue a life of having trust in the innate capacity of her body, without the use of medications and surgeries to make alterations from the outside in. She wanted to live a life driven from the inside out, and assist others in doing the same. We all know the saying in chiropractic: you don’t find chiropractic, chiropractic finds you, and dr. gab’s story is certainly no exception. When she was just four years old, she remembers being carted to her mom’s chiropractic appointments. While all of the clicking and popping she heard in those appointments didn’t hold the same meaning for her as it does now, she was heavily impacted by the results, as it prevented her mom from having surgery. As a child who hated to go to the medical doctor for fear of what would be done to her, the chiropractor became the first type of doctor that she actually looked forward to going to see. Dr. Gab took her education, love of chiropractic, and passion for novelty all around the world upon graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in 2018. She spent several years practicing internationally in Norway, Spain, Singapore, and Belgium (an absolute favorite!). Each of these places has forever left an imprint on her heart and her hands, altering the way she steps up to serve the people of this world. After several years of not only meeting, but colliding, with some of the most incredible people this planet has to offer, she felt like she needed to land on both feet in a place that felt familiar to her, where she could reconnect with her roots, and most importantly, with herself. So she landed back in the very place that raised her — Columbus, Ohio. Her practice, The Inside Space: a family chiropractic studio, was born shortly after her arrival stateside. To Dr. Gab, The Inside Space is so much more than a practice. This is a place where life happens. Where people come to experience the full range of emotions. Where people come to liberate. Where people come to heal. It is a place in which people come to live, come to be, come to see, and be seen. In the process of creating and growing The Inside Space, she has gotten to learn that she possesses a huge passion for things like branding, interior design, and content creation (oh no—SHE’S SAID IT!). She has grown so fond of these three things because she feels that this is a beautiful way to express the authenticity that resonates within us out into the physical world, to be shared, to be felt, and to be experienced in real-time. She has a big fire for building community, and furthermore, creating and cultivating open and loving environments that welcome the spread of knowledge, wisdom in all things perinatal and pediatric. She is ecstatic to see where The Inside Space will take her and the local community of Columbus.

I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1999. During my schooling, I’d made my way to various offices around the country to observe how an office was run and how to offer my future patients the best care. It became clear to me that I needed to open my office as a cash practice. I heard a lot of stories about the headaches with insurance. I talked with staff that was overwhelmed by the paperwork and doctors who had lost their focus and passion because of PPOs and HMOs dictating patient care. They all said that if they could start again they’d go the cash route. So I took their message and the experience to heart. In early 2000 I opened my doors, a fledgling chiropractor with a vision and an antique credit card terminal. I didn't know what I know now but I quickly learned. I didn’t change my vision I changed how I said what I said. I soon learned that it wasn’t an obstacle and found myself very busy and at times with a waiting list. If you offer quality care it won’t matter to most whether you are a PPO or an HMO it will only matter that you are a D.C. and an excellent one at that. I’ll admit that I made mistakes but I learned from them. I was a PPO with a certain insurance company for a little while but as the headaches mounted and my staff started to complain we got out quickly. I’ve done family plans and care plans and discounts and like my mistakes, I learned what really works and what doesn’t. One of my greatest joys was helping students from Palmer. I opened my office to any students who wanted to observe how an office was run. Talking with them and helping them cast a vision for their future office was a passion. It helped me down my path and I wanted to give back. In 2011 I was asked to speak at our state chiropractic association’s annual convention. The topic, how to run a Cash Practice? I had an overwhelming response. The dream of being free from insurance co-pays and deductibles resonated with so many doctors. By cutting down on insurance we cut down on paperwork and the amount of time spent filling out forms and reports. It restores to us the joy and passion for treating the chiropractic patient instead of bowing to the insurance company’s rules. After speaking at the convention I had my first official client and in 90 days they were insurance free. More soon followed with the same positive results.I love it. My passion is helping you find freedom from the insurance companies. Giving you freedom to spend that extra time with your family or on your favorite hobby. In 2012 I had a chance to cash out of that first practice for a tidy sum. I had purpose-built my practice to be sellable. That is a bizarre thought to most of my chiropractic colleagues. We typically only open a practice with the idea of selling it when we are ready to retire. Unfortunately, if you don’t build it with the intention to sell it, you will never sell it. Statistics bear this out. Over 90% of chiropractic offices will never be sold except for offloading the equipment for pennies on the dollar. My family bought an RV and we traveled literally all across the USA for 2 months and went to Australia for 5 weeks. This was the great pause. Mini-retirements that I need to keep life from speeding by to quickly and my kids growing up too fast. I continued coaching other doctors how to have the success in practice that I had and about the financial strategies that had allowed me to retire for the first time now at 43. During this two-year sabbatical, we decided we wanted a little more adventure in our life and we moved to Utah to enjoy the outdoors, the five national parks, and the skiing. While there I had several epiphanies about how I could practice to fit both my income and lifestyle needs even better. (It ain’t bragging if ya dun it ) So I decided to put all these ideas to the test and I’ve got the screenshots from our practice software to show anyone who wants to see. We did $55,

We did $55,

Hi. My name is Dr. Joshua Sharpe. I am a wellness coordinator and educator, who specializes in understanding the dynamics that happen in the body and the relationship between posture, stress, hormones, and the ability to get results in your life. I'm a former Air Force Intelligence Officer and had a career in marketing/sales after leaving service.  I was running my own digital marketing agency when the unthinkable happened. In 2014, my brother was diagnosed with Leukemia and I got to see the inside of the medical world, and thought there must be another way... I decided to go back to school and become a chiropractor to give and serve his community and to give people an alternative way to approach health. Now I work with entrepreneurs, sales executives, and other high achievers who want more out of life.  They want to integrate all aspects of themselves to live their best life possible.  We heal the hurts and traumas of their past to help them find more fulfillment in their work, family, and mission on this planet.

Following her near-death experience, Mary Helen began to realize that her previous skills of communicating with those in spirit had become so much more. A series of incredible, serendipitous events led her to develop her newfound ability to facilitate the healing process. Overnight, she found herself able to “read” the ethereal field of an individual, linking her to the person’s history, gaining insights into how past experiences were creating a person’s present reality, regarding their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. By creating a new awareness, Mary Helen has helped hundreds turn anguish to insight, distress to discernment, and heartbreak to healing. Many individuals have healed themselves of life-threatening diseases under her guidance, reclaiming their lives and moving forward with a new understanding of the intricate links between the mind, body, and spirit. Mary Helen has also assisted numerous people with experiencing the death process with grace, dignity, and understanding, bringing perspective to life lessons, removing the fear that is so often associated with crossing over. A healer is someone who facilitates healing in another. No one really heals anyone else. The healer does not “do” the healing as “Nature” does the healing. Of course, there are many understandings of what, precisely, constitutes “nature.” The mind-body-spirit has a natural, self-healing capacity with an effective healer simply playing the role of a “catalyst”. Healing may be understood as an extension of a natural human capacity. Some people may access it more easily than others, but everyone can develop this natural capacity in and for themselves. Not everyone, however, has the same kinds of healing abilities. Some may be more effective with physical ailments, some with psychological and emotional issues, while others may help people with spiritual growth which plays a part in their healing. There are many different forms that healing abilities take. Dr. Hensley takes a holistic approach; that is she is interested in the whole person, in all aspects of self.

Mark Slater, BS, DC is a healthcare entrepreneur from Atlanta, Georgia who practiced for over 20 years in Personal Injury marketing and patient treatment. Mark grew up in Birmingham, AL, and attended the University of Florida where he received a BS in Zoology and Health Science Education. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta in 1994 and began his journey in Chiropractic at Life University. Mark graduated in 1998 and moved back to Birmingham where he built a brand-new office under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Fernandez’s Practice Starters program focusing on personal injury. Mark knocked on over 1000 doors before he opened that practice and sold it for a large margin 2 years later and moved back to Atlanta where he bought an all PI/WC practice. In that practice, Mark employed an MD to handle all the patient treatment while Mark was in the field every day meeting attorneys, taking them to lunch, networking with MRI reps, and courting doctors for referrals. While owning that practice, he also started a chain of med spas called The Fountain Laser and Med Spa in greater Atlanta. Mark sold everything in 2015 and took some time off. Mark was recruited back into the PI game and was hired as a VP of Sales and Marketing for a multi-million-dollar orthopedic spine surgery practice with multiple locations in Georgia where he coached and trained over 10 marketing liaisons in the field for that practice. He was instrumental in bringing the practice to over 200 new PI patients per month and breaking a record for most spinal surgeries performed in a calendar month in the practice at 30. Mark realized he enjoyed being an entrepreneur rather than an employee, so after 11 months as VP of Sales and Marketing for the Spinal Surgeon, he decided to start his own consulting business to help chiropractors and providers all over the country with his time tested and effective methods to generate more PI patients with his simple, 5 -Step PI Accelerator Method. Mark has also engineered a process to attract more PI patients with training on how to turn your non-utilized social media platforms into revenue generators for your PI practice. Mark is an expert on healthcare marketing who helps companies go from where they are today, to get to their desired situation by providing time-tested systems to building strong Personal Injury practices with his program. He has personally managed over a million dollars of marketing budgets and digital ad spends on behalf of clients and he has been able to consistently provide robust returns for his clients. Mark lives in Atlanta with his beautiful wife, his hard-hitting teenage hockey player son, and his creative and sweet teenage daughter.
