Pakistan lost early wickets again and slumped to 43-4, but Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan turned things around with excellent half-centuries to help them post 185-9.

Despite losing two early wickets of their own, South Africa started positively in the chase and looked well set at 65-2 after 7 overs.

However, Shadab Khan changed the game with two wickets in his first over before the rain eventually set in.When the players re-emerged after the delay, South Africa needed 73 runs from 30 balls - a target they fell well short of.

Ireland bowled well for the most part but a few wayward overs allowed Australia to post 179-5, with Aaron Finch hitting a timely half-century.

Ireland's top order were blown away at the start of their chase, losing five wickets inside the first four overs courtesy of Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc.

We were treated to yet more final over chaos in the day's first match as Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by three runs in dramatic circumstances, while Pakistan eased past Netherlands by six wickets in the second.

In the final game on Sunday, Lungi Ngidi and South Africa were excellent with the ball as they restricted India to 133 - thanks largely to Suryakumar Yadav's brilliant innings - before Aiden Markram and David Miller made important half-centuries in the chase.

Another day, another upset.

The 2022 men's T20 World Cup is the gift that keeps on giving!

Zimbabwe clinched a famous victory against Pakistan, defending 130 and winning a thriller in Perth by just one run.

Sikandar Rana was once again at the heart of everything good about Zimbabwe, taking a brilliant 3-25 with the ball.

Earlier in the day, Rilee Rossouw struck a blistering century and Anrich Nortje took 4-10 as South Africa laid down a marker by thumping Bangladesh by 104 runs at the SCG.

In the second game in Sydney, there were half-centuries for Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav as India produced a professional performance to ease past the Netherlands by 56 runs.
