Spotty the Turtle is a Merry Little Breezes story. Peter Rabbit, Reddy Fox, and Billy Mink are arguing over who is the fastest. They decide to go and ask Grandfather Frog who is can be. He suggests they have a race as that is the only way they can be sure. He says they will start together from the old butternut tree, race away across the Green Meadows to the little hill on the other side and bring back a nut from the hickory tree that grew there. The three animals are ready to go when Spotty the Turtle comes along and Peter jokingly asks if he’d like to join them. He says “Yes!”

Cynthia, Tucker’s mom, locks Tucker up, for his own good and Tucker can’t believe that this is happening. In Chapter 11 Susan wakes up in her cell and hears voices. Where are they coming from? She realizes that one is Julian and the other is a rat. When she hears what they are saying she can only think about how can she tell Tucker and Vinnie about what is going on.

This is our final episode with Lightfoot. He has made it off the canal boat and is in the woods meeting Dido, the dancing bear. Lightfoot and Dido chat for a while until Dido’s owner calls him and then Lightfoot heads off to try and find Mike and his home. He meets Flop Ear and Slicko who talk to him a bit more and then send him on his way. Lightfoot asks Slicko if he knows how to get to the canal and he shows Lightfoot the way to go. Now that Lightfoot has found the canal can he find his way home?

This week Lightfoot finds himself still on the canal boat but he is starting to want to get off. He is hungry and lonely. Lightfoot talks some more to the horses on board and finds some hay that was left behind but cannot jump high enough to get out of the hold of the canal boat. He gets lucky when they start loading the hold with coal. At the end of the first day there is a hill of coal that Lightfoot is able to climb up on to get out and he is free again. He sets off to try and find his way home but will he be able to find Mike?

In Chapter 3 Lightfoot takes a bit of time to heal from his bump from the trolley car. He and Blackie spend some time on the hilltop eating the grass and resting. After about a month Lightfoot heads back to the street where he say the trolley looking for paper with paste. Lightfoot chapter two is when Lightfoot shows us how well he can jump. He has gone off the side of the cliff and needs to find a spot to land. He chooses a rooftop nearby and makes a safe landing. The other goats are surprised ad happy. Lightfoot is growing each day and feels that he is bigger and able to do more. He is eating the paper off a tin can on the trolley tracks when he hears the clanging of the bells coming. He isn’t finished so he doesn’t move until the trolley bumps him out of the way. He gets up shaken and realizes that he needs to be more careful.

Today we are listening to the first chapter of a story called Lightfoot, the Leaping Goat. Lightfoot wants to climb to the top of the hills to eat some sweet grass. He is not worried about being run off the hill for he has grown up now and thinks he is much stronger. When Lightfoot gets to the top he starts to eat and enjoys some nice, long grass until Mr. Sharphorn sees him and tells him he is too young to be on the hill with them. Lightfoot takes off but goes the wrong way, will he be able to get down?

In Cat City Chapter 6 Susan has finally arrived at Center Square where the Council will meet. She is stunned when she sees the number of cats. She has trouble listening to the sound made by the thousands of cats and has to cover her ears. Vinnie stays beside her as she is moved closer to the pedestal of thrones and they wait to see what is going to happen next. Susan doesn’t have to wait long before there is a gap in the sea of fur and whiskers and five cats make their way onto each of the five thrones. Susan looks up and waits for things to begin.

The Dragonfly is a story of a Dragonfly grub who is so curious to know what happens to Frog when he leaves their world. He is very curious and asks his other companions but no-one knows so they suggest he ask Frog. The grub asks Frog and Frog says he’ll show him. So the Grub gets on Frog’s back and off they go but when Frog gets to the dry land the grub is nowhere to be found. The Grub thinks Frog has been fooling them and tells everyone so until Frog tells him what he has seen while he was looking for him.

Rapunzul is a classic fairy tale about a man and a wife who wish more than anything to have a child. Their wish comes true and while the woman is pregnant she wishes to eat the rampion in the garden of the enchantress next door. If she cannot not have the rampion then she wants nothing and becomes quite ill. Her husband finally sneaks into the garden and brings her some and she eats them greedily but this makes her want the rampion even more. He has to go back but this time the enchantress is there waiting. He promises his child in return for more rampion. When Rapunzel is born the enchantress takes her away and at the age of 12 she is locked up in a tower where the enchantress can visit her by being pulled up on her hair. A prince comes by one day and hears her singing and falls in love with her song. He watches how the enchantress goes up into the tower and once she has left calls for Rapunzel to let down her hair. Will he be able to rescue her?

The Fisherman and His Wife is a story about never being happy with what you have. The wife in the story is not happy with what she has and when her husband catches an enchanted prince and lets him go she makes him go back and ask for something in return. In Cat City Ch. 3 Tucker is talking with his parents about the mess they are in now that Susan is there. Tucker keeps trying to say it was not Susan’s fault it was because of the bite she got but his mom just thinks they are excuses. Councillor Khai comes to the house and says he’s not sure he can protect Susan but promises to try and protect Tucker and his GateKeeper status. Cynthia, Tucker’s mother, wonders when the council will be meeting but no-one seems to know. Tucker and Khai go for a walk toward the centre of the city and talk about what Khai’s plans are for Tucker.

The Magician’s Horse tells a story of a Prince who gets separated from his brothers and wanders for days until he finds a Magician’s palace. He doesn’t know the man is a magician and agrees to look after the place for him. After some time the Magician’s horse tells him how to get away and helps him. They run far away and the horse helps the Prince find another palace and a princess. They marry and the Prince rides into battle with the King. The King feels, as the Prince is only a gardener he could not possibly help. The Prince rides in to save the day and in the end the King is very gracious.

We are getting close to the end of the story and Tinkle is learning new tricks at the circus. He is a quick learner and Mr. Drake is very happy with his progress. Tinkle has finally met Tum Tum the elephant and they have some nice talks about where they used to live. Tinkle is worried about what is going on and why he has been put into this moving van. He arrives at the new stable and realizes it is not nearly as nice as the Farley’s and he wishes he was home. He meets some of the other horses and hears about how hard they need to work and is not sure what he is going to need to do.
