Winnie the witch is getting ready for her birthday. She sends out invitations, makes a dress for herself, and prepares the yard for her party. She wants to have a surprise at her party but she ends up getting an unexpected surprise.

The moon is crying because she cannot see her reflection in the sea. The cloud, thunder and lightening, and others offer her suggestions to try.

A baby is born and just as the parents are going to give him a name a wise man arrives at their door telling him their son is very special and they should not name him yet. He is called nameless until he decides he needs a name and sets out to get one.

The witch has an ugly daughter who is always looking in the mirror trying to make herself more beautiful. She tries everything she can think of. One day her mom asks her to look after the cauldron while she is gone. The witches daughter finds out where true beauty comes from.

Daffodellia is a fairy who loves painting flowers. She travels around at nighttime painting all the beautiful flowers for the people to see. One night she hears crying coming from a very bare place that has no flowers and goes to see who is crying.

Raggedy Ann and Fido are all tucked in for the night but Fido cannot sleep. He feels that something is going to happen so he gets Raggedy Ann up to see what is happening.

Louise is dressed and ready to go out coasting on the hill when she hears her Mother calling. She knows her mom is going to tell her she needs to clean up before she goes to play. Louise slowly gets undressed and goes upstairs to clean up but something happens before she can finish.

There once was a rich king who loved his kingdom. He threw parties and celebrations that went on for days. After all the parties the king could not get to sleep. For days and days he couldn’t sleep so he offered half of his kingdom to anyone who could help him get to sleep.

It was Springtime and Mr. Possom was awake and very hungry. He didn’t have any food so he decided to visit his friends to eat some of theirs. His visit to Mr. Bear’s house does not go quite as planned and he gets a big fright.

The Good Sea Monster is a story about a sea monster that all the sailors think is scary. One night after a storm the sea monster goes out to see if anyone needs any help. He finds a little boy floating on a plank and takes him to the island. What will happen to the boy?

A slightly different rendition of the classic children’s story of the three bears and a Silver-hair who came into the woods and visited their house.

Marcella is taking care of the French doll who is sick. The other dolls watch and hope she gets well soon. When Marcella leaves them for the night they realize that Doctor Raggedy Andy will need to save the day.

Long ago there dwelt on the shores of the Great Water in the west a young man and his younger wife. They had no children and they lived all by themselves far from other people on an island not far from the coast.

One day the Prince heard the most wonderful song and followed the sound to his garden. He found a bird singing and sat to listen. Everyday he came back until the bird disappeared.

Troll two, three, four is a story of a little troll who lives in Troll Land. Boogaloo, the little troll, is very lonely. He wants a friend to play with. One day something shiny floats by and Boogaloo follows it. Boogaloo is about to meet a very good friend.

Ben and Sue wanted to go and play at the playground. They both loved playing on the see saw and rushed to take turns. Tip, the dog, ran with them to the see saw and had a lot of fun playing with the things he found there.

Once there was a family of eight mice whose parents loved them very much. Their mom was always teaching them about the five dangers they needed to watch out for in the meadow. She reminded them about what they should do when they see one but were all of them listening?

Dorothy was a little Kansas girl who once accidentally found the beautiful Land of Oz and was invited to live there always. Toto was Dorothy's small black dog, with fuzzy, curly hair and bright black eyes. Together, when they tired of the grandeur of the Emerald City of Oz, they would wander out into the country and all through the land, peering into queer nooks and corners and having a good time in their own simple way. There was a little Wizard living in Oz who was a faithful friend of Dorothy and did not approve of her traveling alone in this way, but the girl always laughed at the little man's fears for her and said she was not afraid of anything that might happen.

Raggedy and her friends go on an expedition when the little girl leaves them home alone. They are searching for something to eat and get into a bit of a "jam." Raggedy Ann learns at the end of the story that sometimes if you just ask for something that you want you might just get it.

Raggedy Andy returns to the room with the little girl after an adventure at Gramma's house. Raggedy Andy tell his friends about how he was making snow angels, then he was left on the sled, froze, and his arm got ripped when the little girl tried to warm him up. He is happy to be home where it is nice and warm surrounded by friends.

Those who are unselfish may wear rough clothes, but inside they are always beautiful, just like the shell, and reflect to others the happiness and sunny music within their hearts!

A valuable lesson taught by 4 young children. New Years was originally written for the special purpose of teaching children how to avoid setting a fire, how to extinguish one, or how to hold one in check until the arrival of help. 

This campy story by Mary E. Wilkins Freeman was published in The Children's Book of Christmas Stories in 1913. It's about a kind young girl, a lonely scarecrow, and Santa's proposal for a new job scaring off polar explorers.

The story is about a little boy who only likes to do things that are agreeable to him, and dislikes work of any kind. His mother has indulged her son to this end, and when he finds himself old enough to attend school, he finds the schoolmaster to be unreasonable in his expectations and believes him to be overly stern. As the story unfolds, Little Daffydowndilly learns a lot about himself and his schoolmaster.

Raggedy is a rag doll with shoe button eyes, she is totally trusted by the other toys and is always smiling no matter what happens.

Is Bobby dreaming? Could this really be happening? Since when did he become a specimen?

Louise loves to read and wants to share her love of books with her town. She works very hard and comes up with a great idea.

The Three Giraffes is a retelling of an old classic. Giraffes have always been a favorite animal of mine so I wanted to write a story about them and decided to adapt a classic. The three giraffes are looking for a home of their own and venture off to find them. Each one finds their home but when the lion comes looking for food they all end up at the third giraffes house.
