    While projecting last week that a bait and switch could be in play the next few years with KC's Billionaires bringing the World Cup to Arrowhead, I never would have predicted something as absurd as the $50 million we are already on the hook for to tear up the stadium for FIFA.  Local authorities suddenly have no answer on where the money is coming from.  

   A woman in Overland Park is a serial thief and the kind of story that would make a great movie.... she lives in a fabulous home near 137th and Horton.  Her latest heist was at Scheel's and after years of ripping off stores, she's finally going to jail for real.

   There are stories circulating that Biden's plan to get WNBA star Britney Griner home from Russia is to swap her for a terrorist called the "Merchant of Death."

  The PGA Tour has already decided if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.  The Tour has plans to copy the new LIV league... exactly.   And Big Slick is this weekend and Ted Lasso won't be here.  But it's a great reason... he's filming the next season of Ted Lasso!  Now that's a good swap.

   Bally Sports plus debuts this week for $19.99 a month, Greg Olsen talks about being more than a seat filler for Tom Brady at Fox Sports and one Missouri dad is on quite a journey this year to play catch 365 days in a row to honor the son he lost in a car accident.

   Ryan grew up in LA where the Royals open a series Monday night. It was in LA Ryan began racking up some amazing stories of almost getting kicked out of a game as a 9 year old bat boy, celebrating with Griffey and Griffey after the son and the dad hit back to back homers and how he rooted against the pitcher that gave him his first big league glove.... while the man was tossing a no hitter.  Amazing. 

    Being President is not like riding a bicycle.   What in the world are they thinking putting this prez on a bike when he can't even walk up the stairs to an airplane?  Let's hope Biden's Bike Fall is only a metaphor for the White House and not the country as a whole.

   An unpermitted event on Juneteenth turns deadly in DC, this is a terrible tragedy.

   Ryan Landreth of www.royalsreview.com wrote a scathing game recap after the Royals lost to the A's on Fathers Day 4-0.  I'll share a couple bits of it that I think you'll like.

   Emporia native and NASCAR on Fox analyst Clint Bowyer hit a woman and killed her with his car on June 5 at the Lake of the Ozarks.  He was not impaired and it appears the woman on the road was.  We've got the latest details.

   Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt just continues to do great things for Missourians.  Schmitt started the "Students First Portal" allowing parents to submit to his office shameful things happening in schools.  The latest is called the Privilege Walk and when you hear what they are doing to kids, your jaw is about to drop.

   The stock market tanks again and we are now in negative territory since Joe Biden became president.  Poof, gone... the entire Trump bump he inherited has vanished.  How low will it go?

   And authorities in Blue Springs and Kansas City have arrested a suspected mass shooter and bomber.  Is this a new situation that keeps popping up or were these events that used to be quiet and fairly routine?

   Polling has shown Hispanic American voters are turning to the GOP but now we have an actual result to prove it.  The 34th District of Texas had an open seat in Congress to fill and while that district was won by Biden by 13 points, a conservative woman just won easily stealing a seat from the Dems.  This is a huge shift.

   There's a threat of a mass shooter in KC according to the FBI and many summer schools and kids camps have closed down.  Let's find this guy.

   One Johnson County city has announced buying and shooting off fireworks will be legal this year.  Is this a trend or a one time thing that will blow up?  I'll tell you which city.

   Actress Jennifer Anniston is making fun of younger female celebrities for how they got famous and she's really put her foot in her mouth on this one.  Very foolish.

   And we're about to learn if KC will host World Cup Soccer matches or perhaps just be a host for some teams to train.  We explain what we are giving up to try to do biz with slimy FIFA.

   Yellowstone Park is closed and tourism in Montana is basically shut down because the river has flooded.  Bridges are out, roads have been wiped away.  This is really bad at one of America's treasures.

  Angels star Mike Trout was mic'd up for ESPN's Sunday night baseball and he came clean about being the fantasy football commissioner for a Major League Players league that led to a fight, this is good stuff.

    Tyreek Hill takes shots at the Chiefs, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes on his first podcast and it is not a good look for the NFL's current biggest diva.  We have it all.

   The PGA Tour had a great week with Rory McIlroy winning and taking a shot at LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman.  But is it enough?  These leagues are taking shots at each other as LIV actually had a Masters Champion win $4.75 million in their first tournament in London.  And they're coming to Trump courses in America very soon.

   The January 6 sham hearing should be considered a new low for a political party as its simply a one sided tv show.  These things should be illegal and there should be more rules of how Congress sets up hearings.

   And I've got an idea today that may help our country in this polarizing times.  It's only an idea at this point but I'd sure love to know if you think it's a good one or a bad one.

   Things are changing at CNN and one became very clear this week.  CNN has added conservative columnist Jonah Goldberg to the roster and it only two about two seconds for him to make liberal Anna Navarro get triggered and go nuts.  I'll play it for you.

   ESPN anchor Sage Steele was admitted to the hospital a couple weeks ago after getting hit by a Jon Rahm tee shot at the PGA Championship in Tulsa.  It was a scary scene but as she returned to her on air job Wednesday, she surprised a lot of people with her classy words.

  The Secret Service takes down a pro-Biden lunatic on the street in LA, the PGA Tour is getting ready to punish some golfers and a wild 7 point play occurred in the NBA Finals in Game 3.

   Meteorologist Gary Lezak announced he's retiring from television but I'm pretty sure he's not retiring.  Gary's been a friend for almost 30 years and he's perfectly suited to go out on his own as a content creator and business owner.  I'm excited for him.

   Joe Biden is doing his first sit down interview in four months.... and it's with a comedian.  Of course it is.  We'll list his last three sit down interviews and you may gag its such a joke.

   Republican polls in Missouri give a reflection of what the Senate race looks like 7 weeks from the primary.  I've got the numbers for you.

   The Denver Broncos have been purchased by Rob Walton and family of Wal Mart fame for $4.6 Billion.  What would a team with Patrick Mahomes be worth?

   The Royals get shut out again, the US Open is allowing all qualified players to play and ratings for the NBA Finals are the lowest since 2007.

   Mizzou basketball coach Dennis Gates has made a splash as it's official... Missouri State transfer Isaiah Mosley has turned down KU and others to play basketball for the Tigers.  This is a great get for the first year head coach.

   Tiger Woods has reportedly turned down somewhere in the neighborhood of $800 million to play in the new LIV Golf League backed by the Saudis.  Phil is in for $200 million, Dustin Johnson gets about $125 million according to reports.  This is about to get wild.

   The Royals are just 3-14 in their last 17 games and on pace to lose a franchise worst 110 games.  Of all the bad things, the starting pitching is proving to be the worst.

   Mayor Q has landed the Mayor's Conference in KC in 2024.... that makes him the Mayor of Liberal Mayors, right?

   And the GOP is in the best position in an election year in 80 years.  Guess who broke that story and predicts a 241-194 GOP advantage in Congress?   The new CNN.

   "End Gun Violence."   Ok, who doesn't agree with a tee shirt that has that slogan on it, right?  Well... it's another veiled leftist marketing scheme and I'll explain how.  The NBA and the US Men's National Soccer Team are nothing different than the DNC.

   The success of a movie that celebrates America has journalists and activists on the left bashing Tom Cruise for the movie he DIDN'T make.

   My friend for more than 30 years, Todd Leabo, broke the golden rule of Kansas City sports media Thursday when he asked Andy Reid a real question about Tyreek Hill.  Andy called Leabo a name and ridiculed him in front of everyone and owes an apology.  Since the day they drafted him, the Chiefs have not handled questions about Tyreek Hill very well and now Hill is suggesting the Chiefs are the bad guys.  You have to hear this.

   The Royals rebuild is in year 5 and it's a sinking ship.  Salvy can try to take the blame but this effort by the front office is ridiculous.

   While DC is trying to write new laws and challenge the Second Amendment, it's obvious we have a huge problem right now post covid. Crazy, copy cat shooters are popping up everywhere... we've lost our way.

  Several liberal media outlets report Biden is miffed his poll numbers are worse than Trump and even Dr. Jill is chiming in as she says she calls the president really bad names via text.  What the heck is going on?  You gotta hear all this.

   Top Gun: Maverick added the flags of Japan and Taiwan into the movie sometime between the release of the trailer and the release of the movie.  China has noticed and Paramount Pictures does not care.  It appears Tom Cruise is behind the move to remain true to the content.  Amen.

  MLB had a batting practice altercation between players on opposing teams and it's led to a three game suspension and all kinds of details being spilled about why it happened.  You won't believe who's involved... and why.  But it's over money.

   And the LIV Golf League has released 42 names for it's first tournament next week in London.  Surprisingly, Dustin Johnson is in.  Phil Mickelson is not on the list but they are holding a spot for him.  This will be interesting.

   After receiving a tip from a listener that Ryan Lefebvre's dad was not only a Major League player and manager, we learn that in the off  season he was a guest actor on shows like Gilligan's Island and Batman in the 1960's.  Say what? This is going to be fun.

   Also, Ryan talks about turning road trips into family time and we discuss how the current crop of Royals position players seem to be ready when they arrive to the majors. 

   This holiday weekend was a tale of two Americas as conservatives flocked to the great outdoors and honor the fallen while liberals line up to give speeches bashing our great land.

   Kansas Senator Roger Marshall has released a video of his recent trip to the southern border that really humanizes the pain and suffering taking place with migrants.  This rookie Senator is making a difference.

   While the Royals continue to try to figure out who they are, a couple other teams are showing fully who they are.  Giants manager Gabe Kapler is now against the anthem, but flip flops all over the place.  And the Tigers are raising money with a "Pride Night" at their ballpark with money going to "genital reassignment surgery" for children.  Maybe we don't have it so bad here.

   The new movie Top Gun: Maverick is perhaps the only film I've ever seen that can give you goosebumps, make you laugh, make you cry and make you want to jump out of your seat to cheer.  There's really nothing quite like it and it's the perfect Memorial Day release. 

   Travis Kelce makes have what Tyreek Hill makes now and fellow tight end George Kittle thinks that's a joke.  Kelce's response is just top notch, you will love this story.

   Uvalde, Texas has only 7 schools.  But in the first two months of this past school year, those schools were locked down a total of 48 times because of threats of violence.  You have to hear what it's like to go to school there and why this happens all the time.

   And www.Ballardcenter.org is a great organization in Lawrence that provides kids with food and clothing and housing.  But they also work with kids that are residing in families in crisis, including mental health.  This is such an important topic and Becky Price and Kyle Roggenkamp are here to talk about how we can help these kids from spiraling out of control. 

   Its just impossible to believe that Americans are fighting with each other after the tragic shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.  How shameful it is that we can't all come together after something like this.

   The good news, it's not a real reflection of the majority of us.  As guest speaker at the Olathe Rotary Club luncheon Wednesday, I spoke with and heard from Democrats and Republicans all will to concede on some issues if it can prevent our children from being killed at school.  That's the America I know.  Not the one Obama, O'Rourke  and Biden sullied this week.

   The Royals aren't back home for 8 more days and when they do return, they get the Astros.  Let me be the bearer of bad news, playing at Minnesota, at Cleveland and coming home to Houston is going to be very ugly.

   And it's not getting much play but Jon Gruden's lawsuit against the NFL for being targeted and cancelled just keeps racking up win for the former coach.  This week, a judge sided with Gruden twice and the NFL is going to have to work really hard to keep this from exposing them in a trial.

   The story that unfolded Tuesday in Uvalde, Texas is too familiar.  This was the 27th school in America this semester that has had a shooting take place and it's clear to everyone we have to re-think safety for students in schools.

   More states held primaries this week and new election laws aren't limiting anyone from voting.  Turnout is off the charts in almost every state, especially for Republicans.

  The Royals have now lost 6 in a row and have the worst record in the league.  It's not even Memorial Day and fans are losing interest.

   And the Florida Panthers, in the middle of a playoff series, completely throw in the towel and quit by doing something outrageous.  You have to hear this story.

   Yankees slugger Josh Donaldson has been suspended by Major League Baseball after he called White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson a name that Anderson gave to himself.  Confused?  You should be as MLB is  reaching hard to find racism in this one. 

   The Royals have no controversy at all... they're just flat out bad as we expect them to lose every game now.  This is what the end of an era looks like as ownership is all but certain to blow this thing up and start over.  The fans will settle for nothing less.

   Bill O'Reilly told Glenn Beck the biggest problem in America is the border and the people dying from violent crimes and the illegal drugs coming in.  O'Reilly is predicting Joe Biden will be impeached early next year.

   And only Kansas City can lose a big Sylvester Stallone production called, "Kansas City."  We're not kidding but we do ask how losing this production from Hollywood's hottest producer, Taylor Sheridan, is even possible.

   It's a common theme in 2022, somebody who never thought they'd ever be involved in politics, feels a calling.

   Aguirre is candid discussing the recent controversy of a new student group at a Lee's Summit High School that is being organized by conservative kids and says educators need to create a safe, welcoming environment that stops singling out groups and pitting them against each other.   

   Clay Travis is a great conservative with a terrible blind spot and a bucket full of hypocrisy.  Travis claims college football is "communism" because it only pays high school recruits a $500,000 package to join a football team and maybe never even play.  Meanwhile, he famously pays his lower level, college graduate staffers peanuts at www.outkick.com because he gives them an opportunity to become famous and build their brand.  Wow. 

   Max Scherzer is exactly the athlete we all want to root for, even after reaching the highest level of his profession and making hundreds of millions of dollars.  He got hurt throwing a pitch this week... and his exit from that game is all you need to know about one this generation's great competitors.

   The city of Lawrence is reeling after the new congressional maps have been drawn in Kansas.  Who knew?  Lawrence is now part of the Colorado border district.  Hysterical.

   And gas companies across America are reconfiguring their pumps to accommodate $10 per gallon fuel.  Just a couple months ago, this was an online spoof... I'll tell you how it became reality. 

   We shouldn't have to celebrate or even be surprised when laws are upheld in America, but that's how it feels in Kansas.  A Dem leaning Kansas Supreme Court upheld the law and sided with a new Congressional map that Republicans drew up, by law, and District 3 in KC is now more than in play for the GOP.

   Eudora schools have a real controversy on their hands as www.sentinelksmo.org reports a girl was forced to sleep with a biological boy on a school sponsored trip to Costa Rica.

   The Royals have won 3 of 5, hey, we'll take the little victories.  The latest was fueled by home runs from rookies.

  Nick Saban says the truth out loud about paying college players and Vegas has released NFL win totals for 2022 and the Bills are tops in the AFC.  But the crazy story is what Vegas thinks of all the AFC West teams.

   Yes, Donald Trump has an amazing record with primary winners he's endorsed an it looks like he could be the kingmaker for Dr. Oz.  But it's so much more than just endorsements as we have a sea change in politics in the former president's wake that we've never seen before.

  We now have average gas prices over $4 per gallon in all 50 states... Let's go Brandon.

   I took my mom to the Royals game on Tuesday afternoon and of course, she stayed for every miserable, disappointing pitch.  What a fan.

  While the Royals are having no fun, the Angels are partying like its 1999.  After a rookie pitcher tossed a no-hitter earlier this week, you won't believe what a veteran hitter did in the 8th inning leading 8-0 Thursday night.  We've never, ever seen this.

  A new report out quotes anonymous Hollywood execs and PR leader that say they are "nervous" and "scared" to make comments about Roe v Wade being overturned.  This is another win for America after Disney got pounded by the state of Florida.

  And Elon Musk has Wall Street nervous as he says his purchase of Twitter is on hold.  I think I know exactly what he's doing and if he is, it's brilliant.
