   And what in the world was Cuonzo Martin thinking Tuesday night down 55-54 to the number one team in the country with :35 seconds left.  Mizzou had a chance for a great moment, but the coach made it impossible.

   Joe Biden supposedly got elected to bring civility to the White House.  No more name calling, not tantrums, no embarrassments.  Wow, did we get this wrong?  Peter Doocey of Fox News gets called "a stupid son of  a bitch" by the president and won't even apologize for it.

   Dr. Robert Malone is a co-inventor of the mRNA technology that led to the Covid 19 vaccine and he has some strong words about the jab.  Malone says we must stop putting it in people or we risk something far worse than what we've seen so far.

   Patrick Mahomes celebrated about 5 seconds with his teammates in the end zone Sunday night and then did one of the classiest things you've ever seen.

   I feel like we've said about a dozen times that Joe Biden just had his worst week ever... but this has to take the cake.  The biggest blow, the Supreme Court ruling Biden's ridiculous get a jab or get fired mandate for private businesses is unconstitutional.  This is glorious.

   The GOP is feeling wind in its sails all over the place.  We have four big movements this week that only happen when the public is with you.  The latest... Senator Roger Marshall introducing the "Fauci Act" for full disclosure from high paid federal employees.  You want to hear about this.

   The computer says the Chiefs have a 76% chance of beating Pittsburgh Sunday night and that sounds really low to me.  I'll name 6 non-playoff AFC teams I'm glad are NOT coming to KC.... I'll take the Steelers any day.

    And Georgia QB Stetson Bennett is cashing in on his national title and mvp award and he should be.  He had a new job Thursday and UGA fans gobbled it up.

   Does it get your attention that Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is making jokes to the media that the Steelers have no chance at winning Sunday in KC?  It got mine.  But I'm still bullish on the Chiefs, I just want to know what Ben thinks he knows.

   Joe Biden's poll numbers hit an even lower low, Mitch McConnel calls him "profoundly unpresidential" and what the heck is up with Prince Andrew's teeth.  It's all good fun.

   You know Stan Weber as a football analyst here at KKHI but you probably didn't know his family has had their routine turned upside down the past two weeks.  Son Landry, a wide receiver at KSU, suffered a really ugly looking injury in their bowl win over LSU.  Then word got out that Landry has plans to become a Catholic Priest.

   What's happened since then has been truly wild and Stan opens up and shares his personal story.

   That said, we are talking about Stan Weber so he's more than happy to wrap up the college football season for us and preview this wildcard weekend in the NFL.

   Smug Dr. Fauci got questioned again on Capitol Hill by Senators Rand Paul of Kentucky and Dr. Roger Marshall from Kansas and it was glorious.  All you need to know is when Marshall finished his questioning, Fauci said "what a moron, Jesus Christ" when he thought his mic was off.

    According to a professor at DePauw University, there is plenty of evidence now that CNN and other media outlets are dropping their doom and gloom reporting on covid and switching to a narrative a little more in touch with almost all Americans who are just living with the virus.

   The Chiefs have some key personnel being interview for new positions with other teams and that's ok.  I'm rooting for Eric Bieniemy to be the next head coach of the Vikings.

   And KU eeked out a one point win over Iowa State Tuesday night in a thriller as former Coach Roy Williams grabbed the headlines.  It was Roy's first game at AFH since 2003.

Spencer Kietzman hosts, Kevin calls in from Indianapolis following Georgia's National title win over Alabama, where the better QB made mistakes, allowing UGA's defense to lead the way to their first National Title since 1980. The Chiefs are a 12.5 point favorite over the Steelers in a game which should be an easy playoff win at Arrowhead.

The Chiefs couldn't have asked for a better wildcard weekend matchup, they host the Steelers at Arrowhead on Sunday night at 7:15 on NBC. This fully-loaded football only episode has all the information and opinions on the Chiefs in the playoffs!

   While you can never take an NFL game for granted, it's obvious the Denver Broncos are imploding.  14 players on injury list but most will try to play, an offense that scored 9 against KC a month ago is even worse now and fans calling for a boycott of this game.  It's time to beat Denver big!

   A longtime football family in Kansas City with years of ties to the Chiefs and Kansas State football is in crisis this week.  This is a sad story about the passing of Les Miller and the last days of his son Matt.  Their tragic new year should be a giant wake up call for all of us as we pray for the family.

  Apple CEO Tim Cook had a huge year in 2021 and he earned every penny.  But there's a comedic element to some of his perks that are just worth a few thousand dollars.

   Left wing publication Politico reports sources inside the Biden administration are privately admitting there is nothing the federal government can do to stop a virus and they are changing course to managing, not containing.  Finally, something honest.

   Chiefs Defense Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has a great reason the Chiefs weren't in a zone defense on 3rd and 27 and let me be the only person you hear say it... "I'm on board with what he was trying to do."

    Aaron Rodgers fires back at the reporter that won't vote for him for MVP, Brandon Brown loses his sponsor in NASCAR, Landry Weber won't need surgery and Peyton Manning wants to own a team.  Big show, here we go.

   Aaron Rodgers isn't just the best player in the NFL, right now he's the best spokesperson for conservatives anywhere in America.  He is smart, thoughtful and deep with his comments.  We'll play for you the clip of him dropping the hammer on the McAfee podcast.  It's amazing.

   One AP voter in Chicago says he won't vote for Rodgers for MVP because of his off field behavior.  The mad says Rodgers is a bad guy and you can't be the biggest jerk in the league and be MVP.  We have the deets.

   Kansas State dropped a hammer of it's own on LSU in the Texas Bowl. This was a beatdown between teams with completely different characteristics.  One loaded with  5 star recruits running around uncoached, the other a well oiled veteran machine clicking on all fronts.  But it was the K-State fans that made the bigger statement about America's discontent with SEC arrogance. 

   Also, KU opens big 12 play with a win for 31st straight year and a health care system in Michigan has 700 vaxxed workers test positive for covid.

   The GOP is counting chickens before they hatch and it must stop.  Great polling is great news but it has nothing to do with November's election.  Not yet.

   "Flu-Rona" is about to be the next fear peddled to Americans by the left.  Can you imagine how scared millions of people are about to be when they find out they can have the flu and covid at the same time? 

   The crew that officiated the Chiefs-Bengals game was a total mess and now we know why.  Never has an 8 person crew had 4 substitute officials called in for a game, including referee Ron Torbert.  The Chiefs good fortune in games turned when this happened.  We'll explain.

   And Kansas State is now a 7 point favorite over LSU in the Texas Bowl on some websites.  The reason?  LSU only has 39 scholarship players for the game.  But aren't those 39 players that K-State couldn't ever possibly get in recruting?

   There's a lot to unpack from the Chiefs loss to the Bengals but it's much bigger than a scheme or a play.  The officials took control of the this game, period.  And in the final moments, they decided to take all the fun out of a great game and fans were left feeling ripped off.  Forget who won and lost... the end of the Chiefs game... and the Dallas game in the NFC, left everyone asking why the league can't do better.

   Most of us don't see the Bengals play very often so here's everything you need to know about a very real opponent for the Chiefs this week.  There's only one advantage the Chiefs have, I'll tell you what it is.

   The Missouri women's basketball team only had 8 players available against #1 South Carolina and then proceeded to go where no other Mizzou team has gone before.  In dramatic fashion.

   CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd lives in Overland Park and I consider him a friend as I've known him for 30 years.  He's been on KKHI.  But he's got a coach really upset with him after a post game celebration involved the coach getting a bucket of mayonnaise dumped on his head.  You have to hear this.

   And in 36 years of covering sports in the Midwest, I've never seen a team head to a bowl game with as big of a shakeup as the Missouri Tigers as they prepare to play Army in the Armed Forces Bowl.

   It's Christmas week and all Joe Biden wants to do is scare Americans talking about the weakest virus yet.  Even Kamala Harris things Biden and his team are tone deaf and is not on board with their messaging.

   Bill O'Reilly says Donald Trump is running for President in 2024 and he should know.  He's been on tour speaking with his friend, the former prez, and says he will run on his excellent record.

   The Chiefs add Travis Kelce and two others to their growing Covid list.  Who knows how it plays out by Sunday.

   And as the Jayhawks get ready for Colorado, Ochai Agbaji is the leading candidate for national player of the year. 

   America won big this weekend and Senator Joe Manchin announced there is just no way he can support Joe Biden's bloated spending spree when we already have out of control inflation.  Thanks, Senator.  Too bad those in your party are cursing you.

   The AFC playoff picture just got really rosy for the Chiefs as the Patriots and Titans both lose.  Stan Weber is here to to break it all down.

   Joe and Jill botch their assignment consoling victims of hurricanes and terrorism by bringing up the vaccine.  So classless.

   And some war hero veterans are arrested in Queens, NY for not having vax cards.

   Joe Biden accidentally slipped up and said the truth.  In a speech with a prompter, Biden goofed up and says it's not whether democrats are eligible to vote, it's "who counts the vote" that matters most.  Are you kidding me?  All other crazy dem control issues we have now are just trickle down from this.

   Elon Musk is attacked by Senator Liz Warren and in classic Trump fashion he hits back 10 times as hard.  Musk used to be a hero to the left but they've now figured out he's more conservative capitalist than socialist and they are freaking out.

   Michelle Tafoya has been AWOL from NBC's Sunday Night Football since speaking the truth on the View.  Her crime?  She said there is no slavery in the NFL.  Wow.

   And the Chiefs have a couple Covid cases and it's mind boggling for fans to try to figure out what the rules are and whether Chris Jones or Josh Gordon will play against the Chargers.  This is so bad for the NFL.

   Kansas City Star columnist Sam Mellinger is leaving to join the Royals as Vice President of Communications.  A typical reaction may be that it seems a little slimy to have a journalist selected by a team but that's far from the case here.  Mellinger has been tougher on the Royals than anyone through the years and they recruited him for this position out of respect.  This story has many layers.

   Over at Arrowhead, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is feeling so cocky about his defense, he's pointing out to the media things he's not good at.  When that's happening, you know he's a confident coach.

   And another news crew has been targeted by criminals in the bay area as these thieves no they will not get locked up long even if they get caught.  It's suddenly very dangerous to be in the media.

   Was the 48-9 beatdown of the Raiders the single best game the Chiefs have played under Andy Reid?   If it isn't, it's in the discussion.  This was as complete as it gets in the NFL as the Chiefs just flat out did everything right.  And that's scary for the rest of the league.

   Also, what exactly was in that game Saturday for Mizzou?  Yes, the hype was fun and the scene was wild for a few minutes.  But there was no payoff for anyone anywhere except Jayhawk fans in Kansas City.  The Border War was more like the Border Surrender. 

   It's the most lopsided outcome in series history as the Chiefs beat the Raiders 48-9.  The Chiefs did everything right, the Raiders did everything wrong.  Simply glorious.
