   Joe Biden is giving a big speech now that we are out of Afghanistan where he's going to try to convince you that the greater good of getting out justifies the disaster we just witnessed the past two weeks.  Just remember, the most important call in their playbook is controlling the message.  And that's about to start.

   These are the same people that have controlled our Covid policy for two years.  You know, Covid, that virus that kills really old people that aren't well.  Turns out the policies are making our children fatter, sicker and dumber.  Hey, this is great.

  And it's week one for college football as we take a peek at the Jayhawks, Wildcats and Tigers openers.

   It's so sad to lose service members the way America did last week and at the same time, it's heartwarming to see how everyday folks remember them.  So many great tributes all over the land this past weekend reminds us that most Americans are truly great people.

   Now politics, well, that's a different bird.  Mayor Q as a councilman and candidate railed against the city doing deals behind closed doors.   Now it's reported one of the all time great deals is being done in darkness in KCMO.  Of course it is, as what company gets to put all the restaurants in the new KCI is big business for politicians.

   Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs look ready.  But does it look like the future for a whole bunch of AFC offenses and their quarterbacks is pretty bright, too?  If we thought this was going to be a 15 year cakewalk for KC, we should think again.

   Salvador Perez now has more home runs in a season than any other catcher in American League history.  So why are some in the local media trying put an asterisk by it?  We've got the answer.

   And Kansas City native Ed Asner has died at age 91.  He's an all time Emmy Award winner and his character was an inspiration for me.

   With all the bad news and chaos in the world since the start of the pandemic, I was reminded by a listener named Jim Smiley that there is greatness in our communities if we just take the time to see it.

   The Chiefs may be the best team in football, but you wouldn't know it by the way they've approached the preseason.  The starters are center stage again Friday night as KC hosts Minnesota.

   The Royals bullpen wastes a Whit Merrifield grand slam but lost in the shuffle is Salvy homer number 34.  This is getting really exciting as he closes in on baseball history.  We update his chances.

   The original woke Karen of ESPN, Rachel Nichols, is out.  Even her extreme liberal views couldn't save her in the end as she believed a black employee was getting preferential treatment.

   Kamala first, then Joe Biden... as both are scheduled to campaign for Gavin Newsom in California's recall election.  Larry Elder is getting his wish.

   And local KC media are freaking out about redistricting in Kansas, saying Republicans are cheaters for wanting to break off a chunk of district 3.  What they won't tell you is, this is federal law and it MUST happen to be legal

   The college football season starts with a small slate of games this weekend headlined by Nebraska/Illinois.  It's a perfect time to discuss all things college football with Stan Weber.

   Joe Biden wishes that was happening to him, but it's not.  Shocking poll numbers reflect Americans do pay attention and they aren't stupid.  At least, after they vote.

   A group of GOP reps has sent a letter to Dr. Fauci and he has until Monday to respond why he funded the abuse and killing of 28 beagles in the name of research.  This story took an awful twist for me as I just learned it happened in the same buildings my daughter learned how to do research in college.

   Chiefs OC  Eric Bieniemy said this week, even a slant pass 4 yards down field is considered a running play by the Chiefs.  If that's the case, how many yards a game do you think the Chiefs average rushing?  This is fun.

   The Pac 12 Commissioner says he will announce later this week if their conference is looking to expand and new KU football coach Lance Leipold has a great strategy on going for 4th downs.

    For any seasoned reporter, you know when you've touched a nerve.  Jen Psaki's reaction to the word "stranded" was so heavy handed and over the top, here's what we know.  Americans are stranded and the Biden admin doesn't know what to do about it.

   This mess in Afghanistan is going to take quite some time and it's obvious the Dems aren't going to be able to pass their $3.5 trillion wish list.  At least that's some good news for America and our future.

   Andy Reid is not just defending playing Patrick Mahomes in the preseason, he's calling it important.  We think Andy believes his team needs to be reminded football isn't easy and there's nothing given this year.

   And while three other conferences are announcing an "alliance" to make sure college football doesn't become a one trick pony, Big 12 schools are scrambling to see where they may land when this is all over.

   If we are going to get excited about certain players looking good in the preseason, it seems fair to mention what looks wrong.  And right now, Patrick Mahomes looks rusty.  Hey, some teams aren't even playing their starting qb until the regular season, but if Mahomes is going to play, I'd like it to look like it matters.

   Bucs quarterback Tom Brady has done an in depth interview talking about Americans always looking to blame, shame and instill fear.  It's really great stuff that applies to football and life and I hope every American reads what Brady has to say.

   The situation around that airport in Kabul is getting more dangerous as ISIS has now arrived.  The British, French and Dutch military are carrying out missions in Afghanistan to find their citizens and get them to the airport.  So why won't Joe Biden order the same thing?

   And conservative radio host Larry Elder, a black man running for governor, is attacked by the Dems and media in California in a sick way. 

   It's the parent speech of the year and it happened in Colorado Springs.  A dad, in front of the school board, ends all debate over whether Critical Race Theory should be taught in schools.  You have to hear this.

   The Wall Street Journal reports a confidential memo was sent to the Biden administration in July from our embassy,  warning that Kabul would fall before August 31.  So why did the Secretary of State ignore it an lie to us?

   A couple of great brawls broke out this week at NFL joint practices, one involved the Raiders fighting four times with the Rams.  You're not supposed to like stories like this so I will tell you I love it!

   And a very special, long time listener turns 60 today, I will tell you all about him.

   Patrick Mahomes and the starters are expected to play a full half Friday night in Arizona.  We break down what we're looking for in this game and discuss how close the Chiefs are to signing safety Tyrann Mathieu to a new contract.

   The Royals get a dramatic walkoff win by throw out at home plate and make it three  in a row against the Astros.  Are the Royals a bad team or an underachieving average team?

   Joe Biden fails miserably in an interview with ABC News.  He literally seems to be the only person in American that sees the disaster in Afghanistan the way he does. 

   And a KKHI listener and 100 other attend a KCMO meeting about extending the mask mandate and they did it without masks.  This is a classic story and while they'll probably still extend the mandate, this patriots made a difference.

   An NCAA spokesperson says the investigation into KU basketball and football is "finished or very close" after dragging out for years.  The NCAA has now changed the rules for the outside investigating groups to speed up the process going forward.  The reason, the outside group has authority to find additional violations and that takes time.  And apparently that's what they've been trying to do to KU.

   Daniel Lynch is on fire for the Royals as he grounds the Astros with 7 brilliant innings.  He's got a 2.35 over his last five starts and it looks great.  But haven't most of the Royals pitchers been here before and fizzled out?

   Stephen A. Smith of ESPN has egg on his face now that Tim Tebow is gone from the Jaguars.  Smith said he was playing tight end only because he's white.  Now,  Smith says it's about a lack of opportunity for black athletes, as the comprise 71% of all players in the league.  When will this stop?

   And, not kidding, Joe Biden wants to talk about booster shots, masks and food stamps while we have at least 10,000 Americans behind Taliban lines in Afghanistan.  He proves every single day how unserious he is at doing his job. 

   The Taliban have circled the airport in Kabul and the only thing that matters is finding a way to get Americans stuck in Afghanistan through that circle and onto planes to fly them home.  Period.  Hopefully this can be done peacefully, but if not, a military option has to be on the table.  We cannot leave Americans behind.

   We also break down what went wrong and have some audio clips and statements from pundits, past presidents and political parties.  Everyone seems to agree this should have never happened.

   In sports, Salvy's a hero, Whit is an ironman and the purple haired soccer player is called a bully and is considering retiring.

   The world watches in shock as thousands breach security at the Kabul airport desperately trying to get out of Afghanistan now that the Taliban are in charge.  Clinging to planes as they take off, people fall to their death in one of the worst moments for America in years.  The Afghan president has already fled and the American president is on vacation.  

   A teacher in Overland Park won't teach critical race theory and doesn't want to force his kids to wear masks.  So he quit... and got fined $1000 for it.  We have the latest on how you can support this man that stands tall at a time where it's hard to speak the truth.

   There were no conclusions to be made after watching the Chiefs first pre-season game but we take a look at a rebuilt O-line, a receiver making noise and which young qb has the best chance of sticking around.

   And what in the world is this story about former Chief Tony Richardson's house in Overland Park.? He abandoned it years ago and racoons took over.  This one is a shocker.

   It was baseball's best night in years at the cross section of sports, family, the heartland and drama.  In short, we love Americana and baseball delivered in a giant way with the Field of Dreams game.

   The name Arrowhead is getting hard to find as the team has sold name rights to the field in big bold letters on the stadium.  Bring your glasses or squint because you can barely see the word "Arrowhead" any more as the Chiefs are making a statement about where they are going.

   Mayor Q just doesn't believe Tony Fauci when the bad doctor continues to tell us masks do very little good in stopping anything.  Q wants to extend his mandate, even though it's useless.  Even the vaccine is losing credibility as a completely vaccinated staff on a cruise ship has 27 covid cases.  They aren't sick, they just tested positive.  Imagine how many customers have it, too.  All vaccinated.

   And Joe Biden is in Delaware for the 17th time in his short presidency as America evacuates its embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.  The Taliban are taking over and they have their eyes on our southern border.  This administration is an absolute nightmare.

    It's rare we get a truly special sporting event, but we have one this week and it should be epic.  And I'm an emotional guy when it comes to this as I open up with something deeply personal that you likely feel, too.

   Most news around the Chiefs is boring and mundane.  But Patrick Mahomes has opened up in an interview with the Ringer and basically blasts his own play last year.  Mahomes says when he would get hit, he'd revert to 'backyard football."  We break down what he says he needs to do better this year.

   Joe Biden's plan to lower your price at the pump is laughable.  Prices are up 51% on his watch and overall inflation is out of control.  And his response is not doing something... he says he's going to ask other countries for help.  So pathetic.

   And Arnold Schwarzenegger has turned lib with three little words for all Americans that are as offensive as anything you could say.

   The Chiefs begin the pre-season against the 49ers Saturday and my wish list is short.  One thing on each side of the ball is where the team needs to improve to dominate the league this year.  And they're dealing with an injury on the offensive line, what's new?

   Salvador Perez celebrated his 10 year anniversary of his MLB debut Tuesday night with two more home runs and a single.  That's 29 for the season and 40 is a big milestone for a catcher.  We are watching a player for the ages have the season of his life.  Enjoy.

   Chris Cuomo now seems to be the target of the liberal haters.  They don't seem to understand that Chris believes his family is more important than the Church of Liberalism and it totally exposes their flaws. 

   The Senate passes an amendment to never fund critical race theory in K-12 schools, this is a nice win.  Three airlines won't require the jab for employees, that's another win.  And Batman's Robin goes on a date with another boy.  This episode has it all.

    "I will be a firewall from liberals taking over the suburbs." 

   Yep, that's what Mike Czinege told Overland Park voters walking door to door as he professed his support for the conservative Republican agenda.  In a four man primary race, where you are not "supposed" to declare your party, Mike did so proudly.  A 44 year career business executive with AMC Theaters and Applebee's, Mike is now the frontrunner for Mayor after mopping up the field in the primary.

  Mike says Overland Park is over run by too many  ugly new apartment complexes that we know the liberals are trying to fill with voters from the city.  And he, like so many residents, is getting worried about crime creeping to Overland Park.  He says it won't happen on his watch and I've got a great new nickname for this terrific candidate...  Mike "firewall" Czinege.

   In a sport where so many games don't seem to matter much during a season the Royals are dealing with disappointment, the Boys in Blue played a game for the ages against the Yankees.  At least three Major League records were set it this instant classic.

   The sports media covering the Colorado Rockies were downright giddy when they thought they heard a racist fan use the N word at a game Sunday... now they are apologizing.  You won't believe how this media race hoax ended.

   While we are all tired of Dr. Fauci, we'd like to suggest a replacement.  An Indiana doctor named Dan Stock has lit up the internet with a 5 minute speech to his local school board that should be played for every person in America.  You have to hear this.

   And Chicago police officers turned their backs on the mayor when she showed up for a hospital visit for the officer fighting for his life.  This after 29 year old officer Ella French was killed at a routine traffic stop.  Chicago is on edge... and the Cubs have now jumped in to play the role of bad guys after kicking out a fan who was honoring the fallen hero.

   We've learned a lot about our government, it's agencies and politicians during this pandemic.  Perhaps we've learned more about Dr. Tony Fauci and his NIAID than anything else, and we don't like what we see.  Now it's learned through a FOIA request that Fauci approved the sickest, most inhumane treatment of 28 healthy beagles that you could ever imagine.  Fauci must go.

   Then we ask, which current Chiefs will make the Hall?  I have four locks, three that probably will and a couple that could.  Isn't that more fun that some baseball snob telling you Salvador Perez isn't a Hall of Famer?

   Carli Lloyd was the best player on America's Bronze Medal soccer team but she's also the strongest, bravest and toughest of them all.  Isn't that the "girl power" we celebrate in sports?  So why are liberals destroying her everywhere?

   And congresswoman Sharice Davids is finally being called out for being the radical liberal she is.  Turns out, she's one of the most radical supporters of critical race theory... will Amanda Adkins attack her in the next election instead of playing patty cake?

   Kansas Senator Roger Marshall wants the DOJ to investigate ESPN for possibly breaking the law while trying to break up the Big 12 Conference.  This is nice that Marshall is trying, but we get the feeling this is going nowhere with the Biden DOJ.

   The president is having a bad week as Ron DeSantis has just obliterated Biden's Covid policy as hundreds of thousands of illegals are allowed to walk into America.  And the White House press corps ask questions if Biden should be investigated independently just as Governor Cuomo was.  Ouch.

   The NFL is moving closer to daily testing of players, which is nuts.  And it appear the players union is on board with it.

   Sporting KC blasts LAFC and takes over first place in the west and we'll introduce you to one college Athletic Director that seems to have more character than most.  

   When Tyreek Hill took his pads off and received treatment on a sore knee, it was no reason to panic.  It looks like it's going to be ok.  But it is a very, very early reminder to all of us how difficult it is to reach three consecutive Super Bowls.  This season is no given.

   In a very strange business deal with the state of Kansas, Cerner is leaving it's campus by the speedway.  And it could leave, believe it or not, Sporting KC on the hook for $15 million in paybacks.

   A newcomer to politics ran as a tough on crime, fiscally sound Republican in the Overland Park Mayor's primary race that is supposed to be non partisan.  He put elephants on his signs.  He blew away the field.  Lesson learned... I'll tell you who this bold conservative is that's now the frontrunner to be mayor.

  And with the Covid-19 mortality rate at an all time low, a Stanford doctor has declared the covid emergency is over.  That sounds like science... nobody's dying anymore and we have record lows.  Why is the news coverage so different?

   President Biden has called for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign after an investigation reveals Cuomo is creepy, really creepy around women in the workplace.  But should hair sniffing, girl touching Joe really be our compass as to who is too creepy to keep their job?  The cannibals are out... and Cuomo is running for his political life.

   As a guest on the Chris Stigall Show on KCMO 710, I get just a little worked about about Mayor Q's lack of real leadership in KC, you want to hear this.

   And it's official.  I have a favorite gold medal winner in Tokyo and I didn't even see her win.  But I heard her right after she won and I couldn't be prouder to call her a fellow American!  We'll play her emotional reaction. 

   While it may just be a bunch of sore losers venting, it sure was fun to watch UT President Jay Hartzell just get skewered at a public hearing in Texas.  AD's , the commish and politicians took turns mocking the university and it's wildly underperforming football program.  There was also some real news we address.

   Royals GM Dayton Moore says he's considering his best player, Adelberto Mondesi, to be a bench player going forward as he builds next year's team.  I guess that means Bobby Witt Jr is the new starting shortstop unless Mondesi somehow is healthy and available.  This is really odd.

   Mayor Q takes another shot at KKHI on Monday and I'm not responding back.  He slept all night and was still hurt in the morning?  Pretty sure we tapped into something on a typical liberal politician that can't believe somebody would criticize his policies.

   And Children's Mercy is taking steps to respond to fake news reports that they are overrun with Covid kids.  We mentioned this first a couple weeks ago and local, liberal media still got the story wrong.  No surprise.

   After I sent a harmless tweet Sunday night questioning Mayor Quentin Lucas' mask policy, it clearly touched a nerve.  Q tweeted back using Jesus' name and called me a racist.  I guess this is how high brow Ivy League educated leaders are in 2021. I've got the whole story for you including other Dems joining in making fun of me for starting my own business.  These people need help.

   Former Chief Anthony Sherman is making strong, conservative, public comments about the NFL's woke Covid policy and liberals in the media can't believe it.  I mean, Sherman has really angered the KC Star and others, we have his comments.

   The Buffalo Bills are threatening to move, the U.S. Women's soccer team loses again and, thank goodness, Simone Biles is now well enough to work.  What a relief.

   It's a perfect day to start with something completely positive.  A listener has pulled his kids out of public schools and sent the to Christian schools and you won't believe how incredibly great their Covid rules are.  We have hope!

   It seems we know the reason Mayor Q has waited a week to implement his mandate... and you will laugh when you hear it.  This is the funniest thing you will hear today.

   Joe Biden sends 27 Cuban rafters back to Cuba while allowing over 1 million people to just walk across the southern border.  This should outrage every American as these Cubans are likely to be jailed, beaten or worse. 

   Simone Biles is a complete embarrassment.  She just keeps talking and apparently has the yips but has convinced the woke world she has a mental health crisis.  I'm going deep on this one because its so bad on so many levels.

   And the Pac 12 commissioner has called for a stop to the discussion about an expanded football playoff after the SEC raids the Big 12.  Other commissioners are speaking anonymously as the Big 12's Bob Bowlsby clearly has allies that think ESPN and the SEC are trying to execute a hostile takeover of college sports. 

   Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby just continues to hammer away on behalf of the remaining 8 schools in the Big 12.  After his cease and desist letter to ESPN, Bowlsby now says the AAC is trying to lure all 8.  This should embolden the schools as they ramp up the rhetoric that their 99 year agreement with OU and Texas is a legal juggernaut.

   Patrick Mahomes didn't take long at Chiefs camp to fire off a no-looker and make national news.  This one was an absolute beauty and stunned a pair of Chiefs defender, including the linebacker he totally faked out.

  Aaron Rodgers was a winner in a different way as he held the best news conference by any athlete in a long time.  We certain he won back a ton of Packers fans and it's clear he's a very smart man.

  And every dem everywhere is implementing a new mask mandate.  They're all different depending on where you live and they are getting major pushback.   Mayor Q and Governor Kelly's mandates are silly and just political.  While Joe Biden's for all federal employees has already received a response from postal workers who said they will not follow it.  Hysterical. 

   In a stunning development, Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby has outlined for everyone just how ESPN orchestrated, along with OU and Texas, their departure from the Big 12.  And it's deeper than that. Bowlsby says he has irrefutable evidence ESPN is courting at least one other school and working with another conference to take 3-5 of the remaining eight.  

   There's about $1.2billion at stake over the next four years and it feels like this dirty and awkward crisis is just getting started. 

   Thursday, it's expected SEC Presidents will vote 14-0 for OU and Texas to join their league.

   If the face of the Olympics, Simone Biles, has a mental health issue and is being treated by doctors at the Olympics, she should fly home and seek immediate help.  Could somebody please make sure this doesn't end in a tragedy?  If that's not what's going on, she needs to shut up, suck it up and get out there and try her best.  There's no dishonor in no longer being the best.  But wishy-washy, sitting out and asking for sympathy at news conferences is a terrible look.  And yet everyone just praises her for it.  If you have a mental health crisis, please go home.

   We ask the question what if all of America lived like our spoiled Olympic athletes?  Kneeling, complaining, blaming their coach, whining about pressure... they are embarrassing those of us that grind and fight every day.

  And the mask monsters are back despite the numbers not justifying it.  Mayor Q and the likes can't wait to tell you what to do because they're so smart.  KC has a .001% covid positive rate as of the third week of July.  And we're still freaking out?

    This is NOT a drill.  Last time around, it seemed like KU and K-State would be ok in conference realignment.  This time, it's obvious they are both in trouble for different reasons.   Do the people running the state have what it takes to lead and help the state's flagship universities?  A former Governor doesn't think so.  Dr. Jeff Colyer believes current Governor Laura Kelly is asleep at the wheel and doesn't care because, "she's a New Yorker that never went to a Kansas school.'  Dr. Colyer is our conversation.

   Also, I've been doing radio shows all over the country on the topic and one show in St. Louis was particularly interesting.  Frank Cusumano is a man I've known for decades and as he pointed out on 590 the Fan, Mizzou sure is in great shape.  But what about those Kansas schools?  I've got it for you.

   College sports used to be all about the players and fans.  Now it's just a giant corporate machine run by an even bigger media corporation that's ruined everything from Mickey Mouse to Star Wars.  OU and Texas leaving the Big 12 and heading to the SEC isn't good for any fans anywhere.  And the powers that be, couldn't care less.

   The Royals are surging behind Jorge Soler, Aaron Rodgers is ready to suit up for the Packers and Simone Biles is hurt at the Olympics.

  Jim Sterk, surprisingly, is out as AD at Mizzou and the SM School district votes overwhelmingly to make 5 year olds wear masks.

   The NFL's "mandate, non-mandate" for players to get the vax is all for show.  Collapsing on the field during training camp with a serious medical condition or even death is a much more serious than the virus.  And it's arguable taking an unapproved vax will create even more risk.  This league isn't doing this to help players, they're doing it for show.

   Mizzou coach Eliah Drinkwitz just owns SEC media days.  He's smart and funny and he clearly made headlines for Mizzou football all over the country.  That's a win for the Tigers without even playing a game.

   And Joe Biden in boxed in.  He badly wants to mandate masks again nationwide but it's a pretty tough sell to the unvaccinated to get jabbed, when you're telling people with the vax to mask up because the vax isn't that good.  This is why we're glad we aren't liberals trying to figure out how to execute our next scam.

   College athletics got a jolt when Texas A&M fed info to the Houston Chronicle that OU and Texas could be discussing leaving the Big 12 for the SEC.  A&M hates the idea.  So do most SEC schools and all the other Big 12 schools.  So what's going on here?  Well, there would be only one winner...  We tell you who it is.  And it isn't even OU or Texas.

   The Dems officially have a super spreader in DC.  It's the Texas delegation, Kamala, the White House and Pelosi's staff.  But spox Jen Psaki won't say how many and nobody has asked the important question if anyone is dying.  Oh, wait, we really don't worry about healthy people dying, do we?

   And Jeff Bezos had a wonderful day in space until he turned it into a far left political rally, ruining it all for so many of us.  

   The worlds richest man left earth and floated back in under 11 minutes and it was remarkable to watch.  Yes, this sort of thing has been done before, but not quite like this.  Jeff Bezos' simple looking rocket performs to perfection carrying the youngest and oldest person ever into space.

   Did you know our Homeland Security Secretary was born in Cuba and his parents brought him here for a better life?  And he's now telling Cubans not to come here or he will send them back?  Same for Haitians.  But it's ok for Mexicans and Guatemalans to just walk into Texas and stay because they are likely Dem voters.  This is an outrage.

  Joe Biden is warning conservatives in South Florida not to have a boat flotilla to Cuba to help out, saying he will fine them $25,000 per day and up to ten years in prison.  More selective justice from the left.

   Half the covid patients in the UK have been double vaccinated.  UFC  President Dana White is right again.  Peyton Manning joins Monday Night Football and Sports Illustrated goes woke with it's swimsuit cover girl.

   The publicity stunt the Democrat lawmakers from Texas are doing is backfiring in a big way.  Now their trip to DC has turned into a super spreader as they flew without masks and at least five of them test positive.  What a disaster for these clowns.

    A U.S. Olympian has tested positive for Covid and of course that's a huge global story.  The athlete is reportedly Kara Eaker, a back up gymnast from Kansas City.

   The number one song in America this week isn't even being played on the radio.  It's a conservative anthem that has liberals in the music industry calling for singer Aaron Lewis to be cancelled.  But his record company's CEO stands firmly behind him.  What a refreshing change.

   A Cuban American UFC fighter blasts Colin Kaepernick and others that support the communist regime in Cuba... this guy has it spot on.

  Collin Morikawa is the next big thing in golf as he makes history at the British Open, Bobby Witt jr. gets promoted and Lebron James life of privilege takes a new turn at the NBA Finals.

  It took a week for the hard left to come up with something to say about Cuba as it's a no win situation for them.  They couldn't figure it out, so they take the easy and lazy way out.  The AOC crowd is blaming Trump.... who would have guessed?

   The forensic audit of ballots in Arizona is worse than expected as hundreds of thousands of ballots should not have been certified.  You won't believe all the different ways they got scam ballots tabulated.

   Patrick Mahomes and his other splurge on amazing gifts for their wedding party... it's pretty cool.  But we ask the question, if you get a $20,000 gift just for being in the wedding... what do you get the happy couple in return?

   And Seattle radio and tv haven't been afraid to pursue the Richard Sherman drunken rage story, now there's video of him at the front door of the house trying to get in.  Not a good look for Sherman.

     Dayton Moore tells me he still loves his job after all these years, even through all the losing since 2015's World Series title.  But in sports, we know nothing lasts forever.  Dayton is a Royals icon and says going forward he will do "whatever (owner) John Sherman wants me to do."  

   Dayton added, "I want to have a hand in it no matter what," and says he has a great relationship with the owner and is optimistic about the future.  In this candid discussion, we talk about several issues facing the club as the second half begins. 

  The Open Championship is underway and one star golfer is fighting with his club manufacturer.  Also, KU football coach Lance Leipold missed his first Big 12 media day because of bad weather.

   Black Lives Matter has played its hand, denouncing the government of the United States and supporting the communist regime in Cuba.  This has to be an awakening for people and companies in America that support BLM who have to know these people are Marxists.

   Former Congressman Kevin Yoder joined me on KCMO Talk Radio Thursday to talk about supporting Cuba and how Republicans can get the 3rd district in Kansas back from the Dems.

   And it's official, there are at least 35,000 illegal ballots in Georgia.  At least.  We'll tell you how they did it and if there are more states to come.

   Patrick Mahomes is dealing with a social media controversy after getting caught taking a shot at Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert on an open mic while playing in the celebrity golf tourney Sunday.  It seems fairly harmless if Mahomes was just poking at fans while being heckled on the links, but how will the Chargers take it?

   Cornerback Richard Sherman, the Vice President of the NFLPA's Executive Committee is arrested for "burglary domestic violence" and fighting with the police on his property at 2:00 am.

   At the same time, ESPN and Stephen A. Smith are doing damage control over comments Steven A made about Angels star Shohei Ohtani.  Here's the problem... he's apologizing for speaking the truth.

   Democrat representatives in Texas have left the Capitol and fled to DC with beer, whisky and big smiles on their face.  51 of them deserted and now they can't take a vote in the house on the new voter ID law.  The Governor says he's arresting them when they return.

   And some new reported numbers from the CDC, if true, are shocking as last week there were reportedly more deaths from the vaccine, than there were from Covid.

   There's a slew of important baseball stories right now and none of them are about the 2021 Royals. That's good news for the team as they deflect attention away from this disastrous season.

   A former KU football players says he was harassed by teammates, had his car tampered with and had to call 911 as his teammates threatened his 15 year old brother.  The response from Les Miles and Jeff Long was to ship the young man home and give him over $50,000 to keep his mouth shut.  You have to hear this wild story.

   Queen Kamala is at it again... this time speaking about voter ID.  She's so out of touch, she thinks people that don't live in the city can't mail in vote with a copy of their ID because they don't have Kinko's.  Wow.

   And while Trump is giving a stemwinder at CPAC, talking about censorship by big tech, his speech is blocked by YouTube.

   Can you believe there is actually a "Billionaires Summit" this week at a retreat near a national park in Idaho?  $588 billion worth of billionaires are spending days together figuring out how to double their money, keep the IRS out of their hair and control politicians.  This is what it has come to and we have to fight back.

  The only way to stop the elite ruling class in the USA is to organize and rise up.  

   It was a big week for billionaires.  Billionaire Trump sued other billionaires and an incredible piece of journalism exposes owners of sports teams for the complete fraud they are committing against the IRS.  Billionaires don't just have money.... they have control of almost everything.

   We had to know the liberals in media were eventually going to drop "Delta" variant and switch to something scarier like Covid-21 and now they've done it.  NBC's Today show does a ridiculous piece about Tokyo, Springfield, Mo and New York City that shows their desperation to hang on to this man made tragedy.

   You may know the name Mandy Horvath.  She's the double amputee from Smithville, Mo that climbed a 19,000 foot mountain in Africa using just her arms.  It's an incredible story.  But as the great Paul Harvey used to ask... have you heard "the rest of the story?"  It's even more eye opening.

   Salvador Perez is the four seed in the 8 batter home run derby contest Monday and the first round matchups are out.  Salvy draws last year's champ.

   Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were partying it up in front of the cameras on the golf course in Lake Tahoe this week getting ready for the American Century Championship.  They are quite a sight.

   And so is the ceremony to present the Stanley Cup Trophy... I think it's the best in sports.

   One week into college players having  the ability to make money endorsing businesses and KU basketball is an early winner.  Three outstanding players have decided to make money by staying at KU and living the good life instead of going pro.  This is a huge win for Bill Self.

   Salvy does it again with his third walk of hit of the season, this might have been the most unlikely comeback of the year for KC.  

  Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, a Democrat, signed a veto of the Republican tax cuts but was overridden by the House and Senate.  She screamed from a mountaintop that the state couldn't afford the new legislation, and she was wrong.  Big time wrong.  Now she wants credit for the huge surplus in her state.

   And a new tradition seems to have started in Utah because of the pandemic.  For the second year in a row, there was an actual buried treasure hunt for $10,000.  A 33 year old man found it after 17 days, this is a great story.

   Everywhere we went this holiday weekend, we were surrounded by upbeat, optimistic and positive people.  It's quite a contrast to when Trump was president and liberals were trying to blow up the world.  We just keep living and working and making America tick as we wait to vote again.  It's so comical, we just laugh this stuff off... like Joe Biden comparing himself to Ronald Reagan.  

   Liberal, woke ESPN is apparently not good enough for liberal reporter Rachel Nichols. She's caught on a hot mic describing here company as having a "crappy record on diversity."  And she's now apologized and ok... good thing she's not conservative or she'd be fired.

   And as the Royals continue to be dreadful, GM Dayton Moore says don't look at the players and coaches, blame me.  Ok, we'll analyze if he's correct and then look at Sporting KC and how they just continue to be a perfectly run sports franchise.
