   The Chiefs have doubled down on the offensive line adding three more players through the draft.  I'm not sure I ever remember one position group that got more attention than this in one off season.

   The Chiefs are positioned to flex their might in round 2 of the NFL Draft.  Tons of flexibility and my hope is a trade up for a wide receiver.  We'll name some names and throw some darts at what the best drafting team in the league may do.

   Did you notice almost all of the AFC is following the Chiefs strategy and going offensive skill position players?  History was made in round one by all the copycats.  Except the other teams in the Chiefs division. Apparently those teams think adding linemen will get them over the hump against Patrick Mahomes.

   Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay but the Packers aren't having it.  So far.  It looks like the Raiders and Broncos are the teams he wants to play for now and I just don't understand that.

   Next  week there is an important event at the Capital in Jefferson City concerning the way we treat patients that are dying.  It's one of the worst lasting effects from Covid and it has nothing to do with Covid deaths.  This is so important, you'll want to hear about it.

   And one island resort country in lifting all restrictions and going 100% back to normal beginning May 16 and you can fly there fast.  We clue you in on who's first to hit the reset button.

   It's Draft Day in the NFL and since the Chiefs have no action on Day 1, KKHI ponders what it would take for all the wannabe's to catch up to KC.  

   The Royals get a split in the Steel City, a day off and a long, important stretch ahead in the division.  Nobody thought the month of May would bring excitement and drama, but with 23 games against division opponents, everyone is suddenly gunning for the boys in blue.

   Joe Biden's uninspiring speech about turning America into a government dependent society is a total snooze.  If we didn't know better, we'd think he's boring people on purpose so nobody sees what he's doing.  Good thing for him because he actually said in his speech America can't handle everything being thrown at her right now.  What  a disgrace.

   The Dems have a huge mask problem on their hands as everyone is completely confused.  We share a theory why they are hanging on so hard as we saw with two ridiculous masked appearances by Joe Biden.  

   The city of Louisville has 244 openings for police officers so in essence, they are getting their defunding of the police.  Good luck filling those positions.

   McDonalds is hiring 4000 workers in Kansas City and we'll explain why this is better than just the jobs being added.

   The NFL Draft is this week and I don't believe for a second the Chiefs will take the best player available.  They'll take somebody they need that's ranked highest at a position.

   And the Royals have a pretty important early season stretch ahead as they finish one game against Pittsburgh before starting a bunch of games in the division.  Up first will be the Twins, picked by many to win the Central.  The Royals currently lead Minnesota by 7 games!

   Joe Biden is either too tired or too busy to sit in on the weekly coronavirus meeting with all 50 governors so he appointed somebody else to be in charge.  It isn't Kamala.  You won't believe this one.

   Governor Kelly in Kansas has now earned the nickname "Governor Veto" as she's holding up everything good that an overwhelming number of Kansans want.  This is a reminder why mid terms matter.  

   The Royals are now 14-7.  I repeat, the Royals are 14-7.  We preview the two game Royals/Pirates series.

   Bet MGM has lost money on a Patrick Mahomes wager from the playoffs in January and it's all their fault.  A little mistake cost a lot of money.

Well, if this keeps up I'd say three times a week until November.  What a freak!  And a golfer I promised I would never cheer for again wins on the PGA Tour this week.  And I cheered for him.  This story involves Tom Watson and Ronald Reagan and you'll want to hear it.

The media in KC are so scared to ask the question of exactly what the Chiefs know, or worse, allowed, leading up to Britt Reid's accident that  it's embarrassing.  A headline in the Star actually reads, "National Media have Questions" about what the Chiefs know.  How sad.  They could have written after this podcast on February 5, "Local Journalist has Questions" about what the Chiefs know.  But instead, everyone else just hides from this story.  Salvy is on a tear to start the year and he actually had a walkoff pickoff to end the game Tuesday against the Angels.  We compare Salvy to Yadi Molina and explore whether Salvy could be a Hall of Famer.  Kamala Harris busts out some whoppers about black women dying "in connection" with childbirth because of racism and Jason Whitlock is in trouble with Twitter for tweeting too much truth.

It's riot season in America and a white lady cop's mistake has things boiling everywhere.  Instead of capitalizing on racism, we choose to look at the facts of what happened in Brooklyn Center, MN.  A sign at a McDonald's drive through is pretty funny, stating that, "nobody wants to work anymore."  But it's becoming a real "systemic" problem we need to address quickly.  Angels star Shohei Ohtani puts on a show at the K as the Royals fall 10-3.  This guy is a freak and you've never seen a baseball player like him.  Ever. And KU is the victim of left on left hate as media are beside themselves that KU has hired a white man to lead the Athletic Department.  They may have a point down the road, but not this time.  We explain why. 

Former Chiefs coach Britt Reid has been charged with a class D felony for recklessly causing serious physical injury when he wrecked his car on February 4.  Reid has a blood alcohol level of .113 two hours after the accident and had told authorities he had just left work.  This is just a horrible story all the way around.

Sometimes it just feels great to be happy for somebody else.  This is one of those times.  Jason King is a Baylor grad, a conservative Texan, and he's about to unload some info about how Baylor won it all.   You've never heard this before or anywhere else.  Only KKHI.

With so many American traditions and norms being kicked to the curb, it's time to push back.  All of us can pitch in and on this episode of KKHI, I've got three shining examples of how different people are doing it in different ways.  In Kansas City, there is an actual Homeless Union and they went on strike forming tent cities until they got free places to live.  So the city has put them up in hotels.  How, exactly, did their leader Qadhafi get into a room without using his real name of James Shelby?  Oh, he didn't?  You gotta hear this story.  A post office letter carrier is attacked in Michigan over stimulus checks, a KU basketball player is trying to go pro and the Royals just can't keep falling behind early in games or this will be a long season.

Sean Miller and Bill Self have a lot in common when it comes to college basketball.  Our tale of two coaches Wednesday saw Miller fired while Self and his chancellor were doing interviews about his new lifetime contract.  Truly a strange day.  Tiger Woods' car crash makes no sense, I'm stumped, are you?  An organization tied to Lebron James and others with Al Sharpton and Stacey Abrams are involved in moving the MLB All Star Game as they were threatening to organize a player boycott.  And Joe Biden has already moved 30,000 illegals into swing states on Biden Buses.

We've always been told first impressions are everything, but isn't the truth even more important than that?  The Biden administration is challenging this at every turn as they peddle falsehoods that take hold, only to be proven wrong by the truth.  What wins?  We dive in to that big question.  Missouri voters hit the polls this week and voted yes to pretty much everything that raises taxes, including the KCMO earnings tax.  I guess we are optimistic and think these people know how to spend the money.  KU athletics is in a transition year, big time.  We talk about the hiring of new AD Travis Goff and why Bill Self is losing a coach to Chris Beard.  The replacement at KU is a no brainer.  And I'll share with you who I want to win the Masters and who I actually think will win.

What exactly is a "version of the truth?"  Well, it's very popular for liberals to say something is their version of the truth which means a lie is coming out of their mouth after they say it.  The latest is the All Star Game controversy where their version is a "racist voter Id law" that somehow moved the game from 57% black Atlanta to 9% black Denver.  What a mess they are in.  Commish Rob Manfred claims he made the decision to move the game.  How dumb is this really smart guy?  Did he not know we would figure out he's a member at the most exclusive club in the world, Augusta National Golf Club... in GEORGIA?  Fools.  Danny Duffy is stellar for the 3-1 Royals, Baylor blisters the Zags in the title game and Paul Pierce is fired after his stripper party went live stream on Instagram.

So the Dems rounded up some fake help in the media and get the All Star Game moved out of Georgia over an election law.  But they're too dull to realize its the deep blue city of Atlanta that loses out.  $100 million economic hit where the Dems live and they think they helped their voters?  The Royals starting pitching isn't working out... three games, three big deficits.  But they won 2 of 3.  Bill Self has a new lifetime contract, we'll tell you why this took place.  And actor Jason Sudeikis wins a big award but it's the $1100 sweater he was wearing that's getting all the attention.

Spencer loves the way the Royals are swinging it and dives into an instant classic Final 4 semi final game.

Patrick Mahomes made a splash with his family at opening day and we're reminded he's a small owner in the Royals group.  But he did an interview recently with a financial publication and says he wants to build a financial "empire."  Mike Matheny's comments after the Royals 14-10 win are pretty much the kind of thing you or I would say... I'm becoming a fan.  Roy Williams has packed up his 903 wins and 3 national titles and called it a career.  We will talk about why right now is the perfect time.  NBA star Draymond Green says he's tired of seeing women athletes complain they make millions less than men.  It's stirring a conversation that the NBA should start taking some of it's revenue for WNBA salaries.  Uh oh.  And we all know the terrible things that happen to people who walk for a month to get to the U.S. border.  But our government and media a problem too.  Why we should never have shown the world the 3 year old and 5 year old kids dropped over a fence are ok.

Opening day is in the books... and records were set.  The Royals 14-10 win over the Rangers is the longest 9 inning game in team history at 4 hours and 26 minutes.  The pitching was awful, but everything else was great.  The new lineup looks legit and the new ownership put on a flag waving, covid ending, Stealth Bomber flying pregame show that came at the perfect time.  Let's get back to life, let's get back to baseball!

The Major League Baseball season is starting and what do you know, the liberals are stoking up a fake controversy.  The President and the head of the MLB Players Association want the All Star game moved out of Georgia because they have passed a voter ID law.  Wow.  The NFL says teams that vaccinate can go back to normal work environments, I love the sound of that.  A big time tv journalist says, "fairness is overrated" in journalism in a speech while winning an award.  Journalism is dead.  And it's now believed 80% of all women that journey to the U.S. to enter illegally, are raped.  They don't give stats for the children, it must be awful.  What a black eye for America to condone this.

It's one of the saddest things of my career, seeing athletes go broke after making millions.  The Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating a Kansas City investment advisor for allegedly ripping off Darren Sproles, Will Shields, Paul George and others.  The man lived in my neighborhood, you want to hear this.  We give you info on the Chauvin trial you won't get anywhere else.  Joe Biden has a border problem with lice and covid outbreaks, he's raising your taxes and his dog bit another person at the White House.  Ya, Trump had problems.  And commish Roger Goodell expects sell out crowds in the NFL this fall.... thank goodness somebody is saying it.  A new Hummer sells for a record price for charity, your Pizza Hut is changing and Spongebob is cancelled.  We have it all on this episode of KKHI. 

The Royals finish spring training with the best record in Arizona, 16-8-4.  With the season starting Thursday, we take a look at what it will take to get past Cleveland and challenge Chicago and Minnesota at the top of the division.  Baylor made the  Final Four, Baylor's women did not.  They get a bad non call at the end of a two point loss to Uconn but what Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said after the game is the best part.  About the call and about Covid testing.  She's really something.  The San Diego Convention Center is housing hundreds of illegal alien children and we're giving them everything.  Now, teachers that don't want to go to school to teach American kids are going into the Covid infested convention center to teach illegals.  Also, a poll of sports fans is bad news for leagues and My Pillow founder Mike Lindell makes a crazy prediction.

The Derek Chauvin trial begins in Minneapolis and if opening statements matter, this trial is all but over.  The Prosecuting attorney is completely likeable and played the awful 9 minute video for the jury.  Facts are supposed to matter, but when you see that video, how will he be acquitted?  The Royals are apparently surprising us all by moving Whit Merrifield to second base and putting a rookie in Right Field.  We have the details.  And former Chiefs Anthony Sherman is raffling off an AFC title ring for a great cause.

America was embarrassed Thursday as a bumbling, weak president showed up for a staged "news event."  It embarrassed the office of the president, journalism and democracy all around the world.  This was so un-American.  Missouri is passing voter ID laws, Georgia already has.  We analyze why proving who you are is the right thing to do and how it will lead to a more conservative country.  The sweet 16 is Saturday and Sunday, do you have 20 hours to watch them all?  And Sam Mellinger of the Star has written an interesting piece about the Royals being on cable, but not streaming.  It's all about choices now as the consumer.

After a ton of feedback talking briefly about college athletes transferring through the portal, it occurs to KKHI not many of you like the new system.  We take a hard look and ask, who is it actually working for?  The Royals are talking platoon at second base to start the year, this can't be good.  Joe Biden has decided to put Queen Kamala in charge of the border crisis.  This is clearly designed to mislead the public and allow more and more of the 42 million people in that want to be here.  And in LITE-er news, Miller Lite is introducing bar scented candles because they say we've all missed our favorite bars.  You gotta hear the names of the scents.

Lost in all the commotion of the media botching yet another national story trying to peddle racism against "whites", were the stories of two heroes in Boulder.  One worked as a barista at the store, the other a man that gave up a lucrative career to become a police officer, in his 40's.  We have those stories for you.  VP Harris doesn't like saluting the troops as she boards her airplane, what a ridiculous slap to all that serve.  BLM blunders it's way to a grocery story in Rochester, NY where they trapped 100 people inside.  All in the name of a non crime.  Transfers are a problem in college sports, Mizzou the latest to wave goodbye.  Xavier Pinson is gone and it begs the question, how do programs stop this?  And is Deshaun Watson in trouble or is it just a scam that women are accusing him of things?

The Kansas Jayhawks season ended with history, the wrong kind of history.  A 34 point NCAA tourney loss has fans asking about recruiting, coaching and, when will KU play in the tournament again with NCAA probation looming.  The Royals send Bobby Witt Jr down to the minors, highlighting a real positive: The Royals have big league talent on their minor league teams.  Former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens announces he's coming back to run for U.S. Senate next year.  And does Joe Biden even know he's being undermined by his own people?  

Kansas advanced but will need to play better defensively to stay alive in the tourney. Cuonzo Martin is taking a lot of heat for Mizzou's collapse that saw them finish the year 3-7, and he should.  Salvador Perez signs the biggest contract in Royals history, this is not business as usual for KC.  And while Joe Biden is stumbling on steps, Trump is unloading on what Biden is allowing at the border.

It's all sports this time at KKHI as the NCAA tourney gets off to a rough start.  Sure, the games were close and fun, but the delays between games and such were outrageous.  We'll discuss how Covid may ruin your fun as a fan.  A women's player at the University of Oregon just completely embarrasses the NCAA with a couple videos that have gone viral comparing their facilities to the men's.  And the NFL has signed a massive new tv deal that takes Thursday Night Football off television.

Kansas Lawmakers are crazy and bullies because they don't believe a person born a male should be able to change sex and compete as a female at taxpayer funded state schools.  Well, that's what the crazy media think.  This is clearly the will of Kansans to keep this from happening.  Dan Bongino is taking over the Rush Limbaugh slot on over 600 radio stations.  And, we cut you in on a former player, very liberal, that wants college basketball players to go on strike instead of living their dream to play in the tournament.

This is the one you've waited for.  Former Missouri and NBA star Jon Sundvold does so many things well, it's hard to keep track.  He's the best college basketball anywhere and gigs for SEC Network because it fits his life better than the national job he quit years ago.  He runs a successful business, has led the University of Missouri Board of Curators at the governors request and isn't shy about his politics.  In short, Jon Sundvold is the perfect guest for KKHI, especially right before Mizzou plays in the NCAA Tournament.

Joe Biden went to Pennsylvania to speak for 3 minutes using cue cards and then went to his nearby home in Delaware again.  What's going on here?  A Kansas Republican is in trouble with the law and this case shows the true difference between conservatives and liberals.  Dems are passing laws to eliminate voter ID despite a whopping 75% of Americans, including Dems, that want it.  Nascar is deploying Covid sniffing dogs this week in Atlanta and you have to hear the story of the little autistic boy kicked off an airplane because he has trouble wearing a mask.

March Madness could be the most unpredictable thing we've ever seen as 68 teams gather in Indiana and immediately lock down.  This could get wild.  Nobody is on the edge of their seat more than the KU Jayhawks,  a team currently dealing with 3 positive Covid cases.  We'll talk about their prospects as well as Mizzou,  a team facing it's twin brother in the first round.  Bobby Witt Jr just won't stop making plays in Arizona, the 20 year old sensation has a real shot at making the team at second base.   Our road trip last week opened our eyes to the fact there really are 50 unique states in America, Biden and Company won't say anything about Andrew Cuomo and you have to hear the story about my wife's golf game last week.

I waited 6 months to have this conversation.  He will hate the praise, but it's true.  Todd Leabo built Sports Radio in Kansas City.  He has an incredible feel for what we all care about, he's the last reporter not fired to ask real questions and, despite not having a lot of opinions, he really does not give a crap about what you think of him. Todd is not impressed by coaches or players because he is smarter than all of them. He's also smarter than all his bosses since his days as a vendor at Kauffman Stadium.  Remarkable. His supervisors  just let him do his thing because well, they are fools if they don't.  When I met Todd Leabo,  I was unimpressed.  What a fool I am.  This man has had more impact on sports reporting in KC than anyone in the past 25 years.  Hit the play button.

It's hard to decide if the box score, summer sun or your favorite announcer is the best thing about baseball. Or maybe its peanut shells at your feet.  Players come and go.  Teams win and lose. A voice, a personality that bonds with fans about players, a friend that is with you every day as you watch a game, is priceless. Ryan Lefebvre is that man in Royals country.  He's a family man, my friend and he calls people that he barely knows every day on their birthday.  I will address the KU mess and corruption later, but on this episode just enjoy a man that loves a game and wants to share it with you every day.
