Episode 2: Family Ties

12 min
View

In the second and final introductory episode with those that have helped Spring Legion become what it is known to be today, Chase Farrior sits down with older brother, Hunter Farrior,  to give his take on building the brand and reflect on the two brothers turkey hunting together.

In This Episode:

  • Chase touches on the early days of building Spring Legion.
  • The two describe how, even though they are brothers, they differ vastly when approaching gobbling turkeys in the spring woods.
  • What works for one turkey hunter, might not work for another.
  • Wild turkeys, alone,  can teach you much more than the advice of another hunter.

This wraps up our first stage of the new podcast where the guys introduce themselves and reflect a little on how we got here. Moving forward, the podcast episodes will transition into more interviews within the outdoor industry, turkey hunting tips and lessons learned, in depth stories on spring mornings, and much more.

Any suggestions on topics or special guests are more than welcome. Just shoot us an email at support@springlegion.com or Direct Message one of our social media profiles and we'll get on it.

Again, all reviews and shares are very much appreciated, and we appreciate you listening to The Spring Legion Podcast.

In this episode, we provide our take on a question sent in by a listener concerning which of the three characteristics of turkey hunting we feel are the most valuable: Woodsmanship, Calling, or Knowing the land in which you are hunting turkeys.

Also in this episode:

  • Austin Sills provides a quick recap on some of the history behind the population of wild turkeys in Mississippi
  • Hunter Farrior gives a few tips on some off-the-wall observations in woodsmanship
  • How all three aspects of turkey hunting are incorporated
  • A question to our listeners - Which day would you rather each week's episode be released?

Episode 1: Wingin' It

24 min
View

Spring Legion's founder, Hunter Farrior, sits down with lifelong friend and a critical reason the brand exists today, Austin Sills, to reflect on the driving missions behind creating the Spring Legion community.

In this episode, the two explain how The Spring Legion was actually created as a collective brand of people, not just a collection of hats and shirts.

Also in this episode:

  • How the apparel is just a way for like-minded outdoorsmen to represent their view on traditional turkey hunting.
  • The "experiment phase" and the long hours spent trying to embroider the first Spring Legion hat.
  • A quick hunting story about the difference in "friends" and "turkey hunting friends".
  • What to expect in this podcast series as we continue to "wing it"
