So you want to get a brand deal but you want to make sure you don’t mess it up…

Here is what you should know:

• Creators should spend time identifying brands they genuinely use and enjoy.
• Creators should map the brands they want to partner with to brands that are already actively advertising, especially in the last 30 days, to have the best chances of success.  
• Starting with one ideal "big fish" brand partner and then expanding to three partners is a good strategy while maintaining ROI for all brands.

Do you know how many ads you should insert in your episode? How many is too many? How many is too little? Where you should even place them?

Today's episodes will cover this in detail but here's the gist of what you need to know:

• The pre-requisite to making money with your show - I cover this in the beginning
• Your show should have 2-3 ads, no matter how long the episode
• Slot most of your ads towards the start or middle of the episode
• Your ad should come from you, not a stranger

There are millions of podcasts out there, and a lot of them do interviews. I’m telling you, podcast interviews suck. Before you burn me for saying this, just hear me out. There are four key reasons why I don't like interviews. I'm not saying you should totally stop doing them. But you should be more selective and not do an interview-only kind of show. If you want to build your authority, interviews are not how you want to do it. There's a place for interviews in your strategy, but it cannot be the entire thing. So let's jump into the episode where I break down the four reasons I don't like interviews. I'm also sharing when and how to do interviews if you want to do them.
