Starring Guy Pierce and Carrie-Anne Moss, Memento is an engaging, cerebral, well crafted thriller mystery with an ingenious plot device that plays with our sense of memory and time. We both highly recommend you see this movie before listening to the podcast, as the first time viewing experience of this movie is hard to beat, and it's an excellent film. This podcast for 2014's "The Imitation Game" was commissioned on Subbable by a shadowy MI6 agent who for reasons of operational security, would prefer to remain anonymous. We have seen the film, and we have very mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it is an artistic and emotional triumph, which really helped us empathize with Alan Turing's life long struggle as a brilliant autistic homosexual man to be accepted and loved as he led the Allied war effort to break the "unbreakable" Nazi Enigma encryption system and save millions of lives. On the other hand, the film takes so many personal and historical liberties with Turing's very real life and the very real Project Ultra that we don't know what to believe.

Jim and A.Ron do another deep dive into the world of Coppola's The Godfather, this time looking at Part II, which celebrates it's 40th anniversary tomorrow. A darker, more brooding, more intricate film that it's predecessor, we struggle to answer the question, which is better? Along the way we play a lot of what if's and comparisons. Clemenza or Pentangeli? Vito or Michael? Brando or De Niro? When did Vito decide to be the Don? Hey there, A.Ron here with a very special commissioned podcast with a unique history and focus. First, thanks to Andrew Stannard for using Subbable to make this all possible, and for working with us patiently on the format of the podcast.

Andrew wanted us to talk about The Wire. The problem is, I've got massive plans for a Ultimate Badass Criterion Sapphire The Wire Podcast, and I didn't want to take his money to release an inferior version. So, we compromised. We'd record a podcast about his favorite character, Omar Little, and we'd highlight two episodes that showcase a particular facet of the character, all without doing any major spoilers. I selected episode 206, "All Prologue", and 306, "Homecoming", to show off Omar at his best, and Omar at one of his lowest points. Along the way Jim and I gush about The Wire, why we love it, why it can be hard at times to love, why Omar is such an important character for The Wire in general and pop culture at large, and talk about our favorite moments from these two episodes. I also divulge some details about my upcoming The Wire podcast series, and why it's taking so damn long.

Justified's season finale was so good we had to come out of mothballs to praise it. Seriously, season four of Justified was incredibly satisfying, held it's own against the iconic season two, and in my opinion, has moved into the same neighborhood as Mad Men and Breaking Bad. So there's that, and we solicit your opinion on what we should do with our TV show next!

Every time we ask our fellow fans "how can we improve our show?", the number one answer is always, "cover more shows!" Well good news! Now we're covering ALL THE SHOWS! Join us for our first experimental podcast where, instead of doing a single feature show, we spend a few minutes talking about all the stuff we're watching. Honestly, this is a little shaky, and it will probably take a few weeks for us to get our footing and figure out how to pace the show and work in feedback optimally.

The bad news is that our feature show, the "Justified Podcast" is being decommissioned to make room in our schedules for this new mash-up show. But fear not, talking about Justified is still a priority at Bald Move HQ, and it gets the lion share of the time in the cast. Note that we are still planning on doing featured shows for "Game of Thrones", "Mad Men", "Breaking Bad", as well as "The Walking Dead", but we hope to keep this new show going year 'round.

It had to be done, folks. Just too high a concentration of badassery, bullshit, and balls to ignore. Jim and A.Ron post up in a local BW to break down the latest installment of insanity that is the Fast & the Furious franchise. Spoiler alert! Cars are driven fast, women's bodies are oggled, nitrous oxide is injected, cocoa butter is applied to arms, chin stubble is sported, and one liners spouted. The audio quality is a little off since we recorded this on my blackberry sitting on a table during game four of the Bulls/ATL playoff series, but it's easy to understand.
