Let’s ponder the questions, “What level of corruption will create a facade of a functioning society? Is shadowy corruption better than a feudal state putting people to the sword? Are you depressed yet?”

You’re familiar with the saga of Succession, what about the saga of making this episode about Succession? Life would be easier if we all loved this, but the world isn’t perfect. We checked out the pilot and season two finale. Why doesn’t this show work for us when things like Always Sunny do? I guess that’s the difference between buffoons and rich buffoons. There are great performances, design, and camera work, so on paper it’s well made, but still not for us.

Looking at the systemic problems impeding justice, we wonder: how do we create solutions? And that’s the rub, there are no immediate solutions. The way forward will be incremental changes over years. Sounds like too long? It is. This is a multigenerational problem. Hopefully the addition of shows like The Wire and We Own This City are changing minds and bringing more attention to issues that need to be dealt with.

With only two episodes left to go, we are soon approaching the end of We Own This City. We hear the title of the show said in this episode and it’s as infuriating as it should be. The show asks the question, when the bully cops go too far even by the other bully cops standards, why do those people who could do something, still do nothing? When this corruption and violence is the input, then this unrest is the logical output.

It's a good thing they released these first two episodes of Better Call Saul season 6 on the same night because Nacho's story really needed it. It's not exactly the most interesting TV to watch a man run north and hide in a motel. They do what they can though. Aside from that, there's a lot to love about this one. Mike pulls some Mike stuff to scrub any evidence that might link Gus to the Lalo problem, while leaving a whopper of a question for us to ponder. And it's the return of the Kettlemans who Jimmy and Kim incorporate into their progressing scheme to take down Howard and get that sweet Sandpiper money.
