A Meditation to See God
I turned the lights out so you could see.
It's dark right now.
Not as a punisiemt but as a gift,
so you won't be distracted by what doesn't matter.
The world feels unbearlby crushing,
so you can turn to what is Light,
what's right Here behind you.
I am in front of you too, but you can't see Me for all of your made up problems.
So what's easiest at first is to close those eyes,
and look back,
look within,
and stay within,
until you feel Me.
When you came into this appearance,
you felt Me first.
You felt real Joy first.

That's the only 'thing' that you desire,
that's all you're looking for.
My Light.
That first Light you saw when you came here,
the Light before the light.
The Sound before the sounds.

"There is one
and only one meditation to see God:
the One who prays to God must be God.
The One who does God's duty must be God.
The One who wants to do His duty must be Him in order to do it.
The One who wants to worship God must be God, and then perform worship.
God must worship God.
Only God can see God.
If he remains separate and
God remains separate, he cannot see God."
-Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, The Map of the Journey to God
"His resonance, His explanation,
His sound, His vibration is what comes.
Each sound is His resonance,
His vibration;
it comes as rays of grace, arul kadirgal, from Him.
This is the same sound and vibration that Gabriel[A.S.]
brought to each of the prophets as Commandments and Laws.
These are the sounds sent down by God to the Maygnana Qutb[Ral.], to those who have the Wisdom of the Qutbiyyat.
In the world, these sounds come
to that kind of true Guru, unmaiyana Guru, who has received the Wisdom of the Qutbiyyat
and the grace of God." - -Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, The Map of the Journey to God
"You feel often a restlessness and sense of aloneness. This comes to you that you may turn to the God-Mother within you and find completeness. More and more shall you learn the valuelessness of the outer and the great Power of the Inner. Do not let these days of seeming restlessness disturb you. I know it is hard, but you must learn that then of all times is the time to be still. Though you may seem not to hear My Voice, yet know It is speaking to you through the silent depths of your soul and that soon the shafts of My Sunlight shall penetrate through the fog of the outer mind and My Peace shall be in your heart. So never fail at such a time to contact Me, for of what value can I be to you unless I can serve when you need Me most?" - Eva Bell Werber, Quiet Talks with the Master
