FIRST CALL | Florida Is Auburn’s First REAL Test of the Alex Golesh Era

It's Florida week.

And now we're about to find out a LOT more about the Auburn Tigers.

Alex Golesh has Auburn sitting at 2-0 after wins over Baylor and Southern Miss, but Saturday's SEC opener against Florida feels different.

This is the first true measuring-stick game of the Golesh era.

Auburn hasn't been perfect through two weeks — and that might actually be encouraging. The Tigers still have plenty to clean up, but they've found ways to win while showing legitimate improvement.

Now comes Florida.

Byrum Brown has already beaten the Gators once in his college career. Auburn's defense has an opportunity to make an inexperienced Florida quarterback win a game inside Jordan-Hare. And a victory would send Auburn into the next portion of its schedule at 3-0 with legitimate momentum.
