A Powerful Way to Fast
... from thoughts. We're fasting from thinking, today. Just for 60-seconds. Try it with me, and I promise you'll instantly drop weight and feel Light. ;)
Today's Quotes:
"The moment you realize you are not present, you are present. Whenever you are able to observe your mind, you are no longer trapped in it. Another factor has come in, something that is not of the mind: the witnessing presence."
- Eckhart Tolle
"What is meditation? The suspension of thoughts." - Ramana Maharshi
"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant."
- Robert Louis Stevenson
"At first, effort is needed to remind yourself of this. But later on, it becomes natural and continuous. The work you do will go on of its own accord, and your Peace will remain undisturbed." - Ramana Maharshi
"Stop leaving and you will arrive.
Stop searching and you will see.
Stop running away and you will be found."
-Lao Tzu
"By means of an extremely courageous intellect make the mind motionless little by little; fix the mind firmly in Self and never think of any other thing." - Bhagavad Gita
Today's Practice:
Whenever you get time today, sit in a quiet space and fast from thinking. Observe the Silence that is present even when thoughts are happening, and gently, but diligently keep shifting your attention back to the Silence. Keep flexing that muscle until you can see that even the shifting is being witnessed. There's an awareness of 'your' efforts to pivot out of thinking and back to the Silence. Bonus points for abiding in and AS this Loving Awareness. Be your Self. It is thought-free, naturally. It is Love.
I Love you,
