How to Get Rid of Fear (#StopInTheNameOfLove)
Today's Quotes:
"He who has realized one's own Self, he does not get afraid of anybody."- Swamii Lakshmanjoo
“Q: How to get rid of fear?
A: What is fear? It is only a thought. If there is anything besides the Self there is reason to fear. Who sees the second (anything external)? First the ego arises and sees objects as external. If the ego dose not rise, the Self alone exists and there is no second (nothing external). For anything external to oneself implies the seer within. Seeking it there will arise no doubt, no fear—not only fear, all other thoughts centered around thee ego will disappear along with it.”
– Ramana Maharshi
"This is the supreme meditation, this is the supreme worship: the continuous and unbroken awareness of the indwelling presence, inner light or consciousness." - Yoga Vasistha
“Fear thou not, for I Am with thee; be not dismayed; for I Am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness…”
– Isaiah 41: 10-14
“But he said onto them, “It is I, be not afraid.”
– John 6:20
Today's Practice:
When you notice fear, stop. Pause. And try the Abhaya Mudra, and become aware of the Love, the Peace, that announces Itself within you. Stay in this Peace. It's the 'I Am' that knows no fear, It is the same 'I Am' that is going before you to smooth the crooked places and prepare mansions. Don't forget to feel This. Make your felt remembrance of This primary, like there is no secondary. (spoiler: 'cause there isn't)
