Crafting Brands

Kate DiLeo, The Brand Trifecta

– The Sharkpreneur podcast with Seth Greene Episode 962 Kate DiLeo

Kate DiLeo is a brand architect, #1 international bestselling author, and the founder of The Brand Trifecta. She is also an “accidental brand strategist” who discovered the power of branding in her first sales job. In the pursuit of making quota, Kate realized she needed to cut through the noise with a message that would compel prospects to want to have a conversation. It was that, or she was out of a job. Kate therefore threw out the complex sales scripts and instead delivered a simple pitch that shared what she did, how she could solve someone’s problem, and how she differed from the competition. The message worked because it gave prospects all the information they needed to take the next step.

The success in Kate’s sales job was the catalyst for her career in branding, and it is this same brand pitch that she now teaches through The Brand Trifecta, the top branding SaaS product that has helped thousands of organizations craft brands that bring more prospects to the table, more users who click, and more customers who buy. When she is not partnering with clients to build brands that win more work, Kate teaches at some of the world’s premier marketing conferences and directly mentors startups through more than a dozen global accelerator programs.

Listen to this informative Sharkpreneur episode with Kate DiLeo about the power of branding.

Here are some of the beneficial topics covered on this week’s show:

- How entrepreneurs should learn the art of delivering a systematic brand pitch.

- Why building brands requires crafting effective pitches.

- How an effective pitch doesn’t overwhelm potential clients with too much information.

- Why finding ways to generate passive revenue is important for any business venture.

- How it’s valuable to document processes and create a brand play book to create consistent results.

Adam Robinson, Retention.com

– The Sharkpreneur podcast with Seth Greene Episode 947 Adam Robinson

A former finance professional at Lehman Brothers, Adam Robinson's career took an unexpected turn after the 2008 financial crisis. With an 8-figure exit, he founded GetEmails in late 2019, later rebranding it as Retention.com. Today, the company stands as a testament to Adam's innovative spirit, transforming anonymous website visitors into authenticated first-party data and unlocking unparalleled high-ROI marketing flows, all powered by a lean team and zero external funding.

Recovering Over $100 Million for Clients

Lawrence LeBrocq, Garces, Grabler & LeBrocq, P.C.

– The Sharkpreneur podcast with Seth Greene Episode 940 Lawrence LeBrocq

Lawrence A. LeBrocq is a practicing attorney and Managing Partner at Garces, Grabler & LeBrocq, P.C. Supported by decades of experience, he is a widely recognized authority on personal injury law. He also serves as a Superior Court Arbitrator and a Mediator for the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

Coming from humble beginnings, Mr. LeBrocq knew from an early age that he wanted to be an advocate for those who needed it most. This desire to help others motivated him to become the first person in his family to go to college.

Mr. LeBrocq spent the first several years of his career gaining valuable legal experience and quickly developed a passion for the complex, fast-paced, and aggressive world of personal injury law.

Mr. LeBrocq has tried hundreds of personal injury cases and continually provides attention to each one of his clients. His unparalleled legal acumen and tactics of preparing each case as though it were going to be decided by a jury have resulted in several multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements, recovering more than $100 million on behalf of his 2,000+ clients over the course of his career. Mr. LeBrocq has a unique perspective on prevailing trends and developments in the world of personal injury law. In particular, he has been paying close attention to tort reform in New Jersey.

Looking forward, Mr. LeBrocq hopes to get more involved in mass tort and catastrophic cases, working to not just better the lives of his clients, but to improve the law itself. Disrupting Payroll

Ron Ross, Everee

– The Sharkpreneur podcast with Seth Greene Episode 939 Ron Ross

Ron Ross is the President, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Everee, a fintech company that’s disrupting the two-week pay cycle by making it easy to pay workers instantly. He has over 25 years of experience leading SaaS businesses and consumer brands. Ron came up with Everee after seeing firsthand the negative impact of waiting two weeks for a paycheck. His daughter had a job making enough to cover her expenses, but kept running out of money because the timing of her payday and bills didn’t match.

Realizing the huge problem this was for many Americans, Ron decided to challenge the status quo and created Everee to make faster paydays a reality. Since founding the company in 2018, Ron has grown the team by 5X and raised Seed and Series A financing rounds totaling $14M in April 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Before starting Everee, Ron was Chief Financial Officer at Teem, a workplace experience software company and Ecoscraps, a company that recycles food waste nationwide and repurposes it into organic, natural and sustainable garden soils and plant food.

Listen to this informative Sharkpreneur episode with Ron Ross about disrupting payroll.

Here are some of the beneficial topics covered on this week’s show:

- Why the process from moving money around from bank to bank used to be inefficient.

- How many payroll companies sit on money for days before releasing it to the banking system.

- How Everee releases the money the same day, so you can pay your employees faster.

- How Everee loans some of its clients’ money so they can make payroll quicker.

- Why being paid once or twice a month is an outdated pay cycle.

Ryan Kugler, APlanBe.com

– The Sharkpreneur podcast with Seth Greene Episode 935 Ryan Kugler

Ryan Kugler is the President and owner of three different companies, A5 Events, Ideal Content, and Plan B (which is one of the nation’s largest secondary wholesalers in the country).

Eliminating Risk While Growing Your Nest Egg

Larry Kriesmer and Bernard Surovsky, Measured Risk Portfolios

– The Sharkpreneur podcast with Seth Greene Episode 932 Larry Kriesmer and Bernard Surovsky

Larry Kriesmer graduated from the University of Redlands as an English Major and then began his career in financial services as a registered rep and insurance advisor. In that role, he quickly passed the General Securities Representative Series 7 exam and subsequently passed the Series 24 Registered Principal exam and holds the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP).

Frustrated by his observations with Modern Portfolio Theory and exposure to potential losses even with diversified portfolio positions, Larry Kriesmer, CLU, ChFC set about finding a portfolio risk management solution over which he could feel more in control. Finding nothing that fit his objective, he drew on his early training as an insurance professional, and along with his business partner, Bernard Surovsky, formed Measured Risk Portfolios, a registered investment advisor, in 2007. Initially deployed on a few select clients, the strategy is now used by the majority of his personal clients and hundreds of accounts that are referred to the firm by outside advisors.

Bernard Surovsky graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Economics. He emigrated to the US in 1992 and passed the General Securities Representative Series 7 exam in 1996 and holds the designations of Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) from the Institute of Business & Finance.

Frustrated with the results of Modern Portfolio Theory and the significant losses incurred in client accounts, he set about finding a more predictable solution to managing portfolio risk. Finding nothing that fit the need, he drew on his early training as an insurance professional, and along with his business partner, Larry Kriesmer, formed Measured Risk Portfolios, a registered investment advisor, in 2007. Initially deployed on a few select clients, the strategy is now used by the majority of his personal clients and hundreds of accounts that are referred to the firm by outside advisors.
