0:00 Introduction: Chia seeds and omega-3s 1:30 Chia seeds nutrition facts 1:52 The real benefit of chia seeds 2:02 Chia seed pudding 3:32 Chia seeds and other foods for gut health

In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the health benefits of chia seeds.

Omega-3s have many benefits, including supporting heart health. Salmon and sardines are among the best omega-3 sources, but what about chia seeds? It’s been said that chia seeds are a better source of omega-3s if you compare them gram for gram, but they don’t contain DHA. Chia seeds contain ALA, and only 0.5% converts into DHA.

Chia seeds have also been compared to eggs. An egg contains around 7 grams of protein, while chia seeds contain 4 grams. The protein found in eggs is the most bioavailable form of protein.

Chia seeds contain vitamin E, vitamin C, B vitamins, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium. Research suggests that chia seeds are cardioprotective, help lower blood pressure, benefit your brain, and can even help thin your blood.

Chia seeds contain soluble fiber, which is the most significant benefit of consuming them.

To make a healthy chia pudding: 1. Mix 2 tablespoons of chia seeds with ½ cup of milk or unsweetened almond milk. 2. Stir the mixture until the seeds swell and form a gel. 3. Add kefir, berries, Greek yogurt, coconut cream, or nuts.

The gel that forms when you mix chia seeds with liquid is an excellent food for your microbiome. Chia seeds can help with gut inflammation and constipation. They’re also very low in lectins.

Chia seed gel contains polyphenols—plant chemicals that benefit your microbes. A healthy microbiome supports your mood, energy levels, and overall health. Consume chia seeds, fermented vegetables, sauerkraut, pickles, and kimchi regularly for a healthy microbiome.

Kidney stone symptoms can be incredibly painful—I’ve been there myself. After going through my own kidney stone nightmare, I dove deeper into how to prevent kidney stones and lower the risk of kidney disease.

Most kidney stones are either uric acid or calcium oxalate stones, and they’re closely tied to diet and lifestyle. One often-overlooked kidney stone cause is a magnesium deficiency, which can significantly increase your risk.

Here’s how magnesium helps prevent kidney stone development: •Binds to oxalates •Vitamin D co-factor •Controls calcium concentrations •Helps balance urinary salts and minerals •Reduces mineral crystallisation in the kidneys

In addition to magnesium, several other scientifically proven strategies can help support healthy kidneys and lower the risk of kidney stones.

These 20 tips can help prevent kidney stones: 1. Take magnesium glycinate 2. Drink lemon water 3. Prioritize leafy green vegetables 4. Regularly eat pumpkin seeds 5. Minimize dietary oxalates 6. Avoid cola and other phosphorus-containing soda drinks 7. Take vitamin D3 with magnesium 8. Avoid supplements with calcium carbonate 9. Drink plenty of fluids 10. Incorporate potassium-rich foods 11. Today, I want to share the best remedy to unclog your arteries.

A clogged artery is an artery that’s filled with plaque. In many cases, when a person has clogged arteries, they also have stiff arteries, inflammation, and high blood pressure.

Many people seek natural alternatives for clogged arteries because the common treatments often have side effects. Potential side effects of these treatments can include: • Myopathy • Erectile dysfunction • Low testosterone • Neuropathy • Dementia • Hemorrhagic stroke • Increased risk of cancer

The best natural remedy to unclog your arteries is called nattokinase. Nattokinase is an enzyme in natto (fermented soybeans). Fermented soybeans are also loaded with vitamin K2.

Potential benefits of nattokinase: 1. It may help break up clots 2. It may help clear up nasal polyps 3. It may help decrease oxidized LDL 4. It has anti-inflammatory properties 5. It may help lower blood pressure 6. It inhibits the thickening of the artery walls 7. It may help increase HDL and lower triglycerides 8. It may help decrease the risk of strokes 9. It was shown to shrink plaquing in the aorta when combined with ginseng in animal studies Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Today, we’re going to look at some of the causes of arthritis, the worst foods for arthritis, and foods that can improve your symptoms!

The chondrocyte is a cell that makes up your cartilage. Arthritis is often related to stress that originates in the endoplasmic reticulum of these cells. Surprisingly, this cell has receptors for bile salts!

There are two types of bile: one made by the liver and secondary bile produced by your microbes. This secondary type of bile acts as a potent anti-inflammatory in the joints, protecting them and reducing inflammation.

TUDCA is a specialized bile salt that can reduce stress in the endoplasmic reticulum and can be incredibly beneficial for arthritis and joint pain. Vitamin K2 prevents calcium from building up in the soft tissue. A deficiency can lead to calcification in the joints and arteries, as well as the formation of osteophytes.

Whether you have rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, vitamin D is one of the most effective anti-inflammatory agents. It is also incredibly beneficial for addressing autoimmune conditions.

Joint pain and arthritis are often triggered by the following: •Food allergies •AGEs (sugar and protein byproduct) •Infection •Seed oils •Microbiome problem

Here are 7 foods to avoid with arthritis and joint pain: 1. Emulsifiers (Polysorbate 80) 2. Low-fat soy protein powder 3. Refined seed oil (Aldehydes) 4. Alcohol (Purines from beer) 5. Casein A1 Protein 6. Modern wheat (Gluten content, glyphosate, amylopectin A, WGA) 7. High fructose corn syrup

The following foods can help reduce joint pain and inflammation and reduce the symptoms of arthritis: 1. Fermented foods 2. Healthy fats (Olive oil, avocado oil, fish oils, grass-fed animal fats) 3. High vitamin D3 foods and omega-3 fats 4. Sulfur-rich foods (Onions, garlic, cruciferous vegetables) 5. Collagen (Bone broth)

High amounts of iron can contribute to arthritis, so it's best to keep your intake low. Try TUDCA to support the endoplasmic reticulum in your cells and reduce joint pain.

One simple breathing technique can help lower blood pressure levels in just a few minutes. Try breathing in for 4 seconds and out for 6 seconds, then use a blood pressure monitor to compare your blood pressure before and after.

This technique works by stimulating the vagus nerve, which influences the heart and parasympathetic nervous system. Focusing on a longer exhale can also help promote relaxation during periods of stress or anxiety. Sunlight exposure also provides additional support for healthy blood pressure by stimulating the production of nitric oxide, which helps relax blood vessels.

High blood pressure often develops long before you’re diagnosed with hypertension. In fact, changes in arterial stiffness can occur years earlier. A pulse wave velocity test can help assess arterial stiffness before high blood pressure develops.

Nearly 90% of hypertension cases are classified as essential hypertension, meaning the exact cause is unknown. Lifestyle factors are rarely studied in healthcare research.

Arterial stiffness is often preceded by high levels of insulin, which cause sodium retention. Refined sugar consumption, chronic stress, and low magnesium are a few factors that trigger high insulin levels.

0:00 Introduction: Rotator cuff repair 0:15 A deeper look at the rotator cuff muscles and tendons 4:10 Two things never to do for a rotator cuff injury 4:40 Natural remedies for a rotator cuff injury 5:50 The top mineral for rotator cuff repair 7:00 The best source of manganese 8:18 Learn more about inflammation!

Let’s talk about the top mineral deficiency in rotator cuff injuries and a lot of other joint injuries. Up to 94% of rotator cuff treatments don’t have a great success rate and require more treatment over time.

The majority of rotator cuff problems are related to the tendons, not the muscles. There are some natural things you can do to maximize the strength of your rotator cuff, but unfortunately, it will likely never be 100% again.

Two things you should never do for a rotator cuff injury are: 1. Apply cold to the injury 2. Rest the injured area What to do for tendon rehab and rotator cuff repair: • A hanging stretch (for arthritis with no tear or trauma) • Isometric exercises • Get plenty of vitamin D, vitamin C, and amino acids • Keep moving on a regular basis • Eccentric exercises • Get plenty of manganese

The most important nutrient for your tendons and rotator cuff repair is manganese. A manganese deficiency can slow down the repair of your tendons. Manganese is essential for strengthening your tendons and ligaments.

The best source of manganese is shellfish. If you’re going to take a manganese supplement, consider taking about 200 mg for around a month and then try to get it from your diet.

Can you have a cheat day on keto? Here’s what you need to know!

0:00 Introduction: Can you take breaks on keto? 0:40 When you can cheat on keto 2:28 How to tell if someone is cheating on their diet 2:54 What is an A1C test? 6:18 How to know if you’re in ketosis 7:47 Understanding blood sugar problems 11:40 How to support healthy blood sugar 12:27 Learn more about blood sugar!

Let's talk about cheat days on keto. Some weight loss plans have cheat days built into the program. But this isn’t a good idea because it can severely affect your results. Once you go off of a diet plan, it’s really hard to get back on it.

That said, sometimes it can be encouraging to go off keto just to see how much better you feel when you’re on keto and doing it correctly.

The goal is to create enough health and discipline that you can go off of the keto plan very temporarily and then go right back on.

The best way to tell if someone is cheating on keto or staying healthy is to look at their A1C. An A1C test measures how much glucose is stuck to the protein in your blood.

The more sugar in your body, the higher percentage of your hemoglobin is affected by glucose. You would want your A1C percentage to be below 5.7.

The best way to know that the keto program is working and you’re in ketosis is a loss of appetite. But, all it takes is a very small amount of carbohydrates to take you out of ketosis for a couple of days—even half a glass of wine will have this effect.

This means a cheat day will knock you out of the program for a good amount of time. If someone is cheating every other day or every third day, they're not going to make very good progress.

How to support healthy blood sugar: 1. Consume nutrient-dense foods on keto (Healthy Keto®) 2. Consume apple cider vinegar in water 3. Consume berberine
