Frequent urination at night is often more than just a bladder or prostate problem. Many people produce one to two cups of urine overnight, and much of this fluid comes from what was consumed earlier in the day, not just before bed.

By age 80, nighttime urination affects most adults. One possible clue is fluid retention, which is often associated with elevated glucose and insulin rather than simply drinking too much water or eating too much salt. An edema test and a fasting insulin test can help identify underlying issues.

Gravity also plays a role. Fluid that accumulates in the legs during the day can return to the bloodstream while you sleep, increasing urine production overnight. Sleep apnea and certain medications can also contribute to frequent nighttime urination.

You don’t need to go to the dentist or purchase whitening strips for white teeth. Baking soda is nonabrasive and can be used to gently scrub your teeth to remove stains and plaque. You can combine baking soda with 3% hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth at home.

Combine 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 3 drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 8 drops of water. This mixture breaks the bonds of tooth stains, leaving you with whiter teeth. It’s also beneficial for eliminating bacteria and reducing plaque formation.

Use a toothbrush to gently polish your teeth with this paste for 1 to 2 minutes. Rinse your mouth thoroughly when you’re finished. Do this 2 to 3 times per week for a few weeks for whiter teeth. Teeth whitening should be done gradually to avoid damaging the gums and tooth enamel.

Oil pulling is an ancient practice that involves swishing oil in the mouth for 10 to 20 minutes. Coconut oil is great for oil pulling. It’s high in lauric acid, a potent anti-microbial that is effective against bacteria, fungus, and candida. It also helps with bad breath. Research has found oil pulling to be as effective as prescription mouthwash against gingivitis.

Vitamin C and glucose compete in the body. Bleeding gums are often caused by low vitamin C. If you consume a lot of sugar, glucose will block your vitamin C, which will show up in your gums.

Add the best superfood for immunity to your diet today! Discover the countless health benefits of colostrum for your immune system, gut health, and more. Learn about the benefits of colostrum for adults and aging populations. It’s not just for babies!

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: The best superfood for immunity 0:44 What is colostrum? 1:12 Colostrum benefits 3:33 Colostrum for adults 3:43 Colostrum and gut health 4:01 More colostrum uses 4:54 How to take colostrum

Today, we’re going to talk about the many benefits of colostrum. Colostrum has potent antiviral, antitumor, and wound-healing properties. Colostrum milk acts as an immune system “download” passed from mother to baby after birth. If you weren’t breastfed as an infant, don’t worry! You can still take colostrum.

Colostrum is produced in the first 24 to 72 hours after birth. It’s golden in color and rich in essential probiotics, including L. reuteri. It’s significantly more immune-building than regular milk and even contains stem cells. Colostrum also contains an important prebiotic called HMO (human milk oligosaccharides) that feeds the probiotics found in breast milk.

Colostrum contains cholesterol and omega-3 fats, vital for brain health, and important hormones like oxytocin and cortisol.

Many infants are fed infant formula, which is essentially ultra-processed food calories. Most infant formulas are made of low-quality ingredients such as maltodextrin and soy, and they lack the immune benefits and probiotics of breast milk.

Children who were fed infant formula are more predisposed to allergies, asthma, skin problems, obesity, cognitive delays, and other health problems.

If you didn’t get colostrum as a baby, there are still many benefits of colostrum for adults. You can take colostrum in supplement form. Colostrum is beneficial for gut health and can help fix a leaky gut or gut damage. It can help lower inflammation, increase good microbes, and decrease pathogens.

Colostrum has powerful benefits for respiratory problems such as allergies and asthma. It can also help an overactive immune system and many autoimmune conditions.

Colostrum helps support the thymus glands as you age and is very beneficial for age-related problems such as muscle loss, wrinkles, macular degeneration, and arthritis. It can even help with long COVID, Hashimoto’s, autism, and Lyme disease. Colostrum is heat-sensitive, so look for a freeze-dried supplement!

Sugar doesn’t just expand your waistline—it also causes brain fog and fuels long-term neurological decline. In this video, I’ll share the worrying effects of sugar on the brain and explain how to beat sugar addiction within a few days.

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

0:00 Introduction: What happens when you stop eating sugar for 21 days? 0:31 Brain improvements after no sugar for 3 weeks 2:11 What happens to the brain if you eat sugar 4:40 Health consequences of sugar-induced vitamin B1 deficiency 12:58 Benefits of quitting sugar for 3 weeks 14:30 Why sugar isn’t the body’s primary fuel source 16:35 How to stop eating sugar 17:17 What happens after not eating sugar

I gave up sugar a while ago and wish I had done it even sooner. Before, I dealt with low energy, brain fog, and restless nights. Now I sleep deeply, feel energized, and enjoy clear mental clarity after quitting sugar.

Sugar also depletes vitamin B1, critical for optimal brain health, nerve function, and autonomous nervous system regulation. No wonder a high-sugar diet causes fatigue, anxiety, poor focus, and long-term damage to brain health.

How quitting sugar affects the brain: • Improved circulation and oxygenation • Increased release of brain-health-promoting proteins • Stable mood control • Deeper and more rejuvenating sleep • Enhanced stress resilience • Lower neuroinflammation

Just three weeks without sugar gives your brain a reset, helping reduce cravings and breaking the cycle of sugar addiction.

Quitting sugar doesn’t just benefit the brain! It also supports your organs, brightens skin, protects vision, strengthens the heart, promotes metabolic balance, and makes it easier to maintain a healthy weight.

The #1 Best Way to CLEANSE a Fatty Liver

8 min
View

Chemicals in the environment can wreak havoc on liver health. Learn what to avoid and the best way to cleanse the liver. Find out how to detox your liver naturally with the best liver cleansing foods and supplements.

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

0:00 Introduction: How to detox your liver 0:46 Estrogen and liver health 2:13 Xenoestrogens 2:49 How to improve liver function 3:10 The best liver detox 5:00 Liver cleansing foods and supplements

It’s often thought that liver damage is always caused by too much alcohol or sugar, but there is something MUCH worse.

Pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, plastics, and forever chemicals contain toxic compounds that mimic estrogen. These toxins fit into the estrogen receptors in your cells and activate the estrogen effect in certain parts of the body.

These chemicals overstimulate estrogen receptors in the body, which can cause the following problems: •Reduced bile production •Increased risk of breast cancer •Increased incidence of hypothyroidism •Weight gain •Increased breast tissue in men •Increased acne •Decreased sperm count •Decreased testosterone levels •Estrogen dominance in postmenopausal women

These toxins that mimic estrogen are called xenoestrogens. A healthy liver can eliminate these chemicals from the body, but if liver health is compromised or overloaded, it may be difficult.

Avoid xenoestrogens as much as possible, although it may be impossible to avoid them all. You must also support the liver’s ability to detox naturally. A properly functioning liver takes harmful fat-soluble chemicals and turns them into harmless water-soluble particles to be removed from the body.

Cruciferous vegetables such as kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and arugula contain potent phytonutrients that work as a natural liver detox. DIM supplements are a concentrated cruciferous extract that can help naturally cleanse your liver.

Some cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli sprouts and radishes, contain the phytonutrient sulforaphane, which can increase over 200 detox genes. It also feeds the gut bacteria that can help you detoxify chemicals.

The liver contains a hormone called sex hormone-binding globulin, vital to protect you against excess estrogen in the body. Cruciferous vegetables can help increase this hormone.

Here are a few natural remedies that can improve liver function and liver health: •Cruciferous vegetables •DIM •NAC •Choline

0:00 Introduction: What causes high blood pressure? 1:15 Blood pressure explained 2:10 How to lower blood pressure and address nutritional deficiencies 2:38 Natural blood pressure remedies 4:33 Fixing insulin resistance to lower blood pressure

Over 90% of hypertension is labeled as having an unknown cause, which is very profitable for drug companies.

The endothelial layer of your arteries has insulin receptors. When these receptors are damaged, your blood pressure can increase.

Too much insulin allows too much calcium to enter the cells, so calcium channel blockers are often used to lower high blood pressure. However, the connection between insulin resistance and high blood pressure is usually ignored.

A protective shield called the glycocalyx typically covers the endothelial tissue on the inside of your arteries. When this shield becomes damaged, it can cause a cascade of problems, including cellular damage, inflammation, calcium buildup, and excess clotting. The glycocalyx is vulnerable to damage from glucose and fructose.

A low-carb diet and intermittent fasting can help you get healthy and lower your blood pressure quickly. Insulin resistance creates serious nutritional deficiencies that must also be addressed to lower blood pressure.

To help reverse high blood pressure, increase the following nutrients: •Vitamin D •Magnesium glycinate •Potassium •Sulfur

To fix insulin resistance and lower blood pressure, it’s important to avoid carbohydrates, sugar, starch, and seed oils. Remember that it may take a few weeks to notice blood pressure changes. A food log can help keep you on track.

If your blood pressure is decreasing, but you notice that the top number remains high, focus on reducing stress. Ensure you sleep enough, take long walks, or try ashwagandha to lower your stress levels.

Autoimmune diseases are becoming increasingly common, but what’s driving this trend?

Vitamin D’s most important role is helping regulate the immune system. Your immune system protects against viruses, fungi, yeast, bacteria, and abnormal cells, while also helping distinguish between healthy and unhealthy cells. Every major immune cell involved in this process depends on vitamin D.

Rather than simply creating a stronger immune system, vitamin D helps support normal immune function and a balanced immune response. Vitamin D is especially important for the immune cells in your gut, where a large portion of the body’s immune system resides.

Some people with adequate vitamin D levels still develop autoimmune diseases. Chronic stress is one factor that may influence immune function by increasing cortisol, which can suppress the immune system. Low vitamin D levels combined with chronic stress may further affect immune function.

Around 25% of people have vitamin D receptor resistance, which can affect how their bodies respond to vitamin D. This may help explain why some people require more vitamin D than others.

A Google search might tell you that Apeel is safe and thoroughly fact-checked, but is Bill Gates’ Apeel coating safe? Find out in this video.

0:00 Introduction: Is Bill Gates’ Apeel safe? 0:20 Apeel ingredients 0:44 Problems with Apeel 2:18 Trans fats and the FDA 2:50 What's the purpose of Apeel coating on produce?

In this video, we’re going to talk about Bill Gates’ new product, Apeel, which is used to make fresh produce last longer. Of the ingredients in Apeel, 99.34 percent are listed as “other ingredients,” which is a red flag because of the lack of transparency.

We know that Apeel contains monoglycerides and diglycerides—emulsifiers, which help mix things together. Apeel also contains solvents and heavy metals, including palladium, cadmium, lead, mercury, and arsenic! Manufacturers claim these metals are safe in small amounts, but there is no data about chronic consumption over time. Apeel also contains polyethylene glycol, a compound found in antifreeze.

Apeel could be a partially hydrogenated product. The FDA has banned trans fats, but loopholes still allow manufacturers to use them in their products.

If a product has less than .5 grams of trans fats, the FDA allows them to round it down to zero and not report the trans fats in the product. If a product is classified as an emulsifier, not a lipid or fat, it is exempt from the FDA’s ban on trans fats.

There is some controversy surrounding the function of the Apeel coating on produce. Is it a coating to keep food fresh or a fungicide? The EPA and the OMRI describe Apeel as a fungicide used after harvest, but Apeel is advertised as a protective coating.

There’s no way to remove the Apeel coating from your fresh produce, so it could potentially lock pesticides or pathogens inside. Think twice about buying fruits and vegetables that have this coating on them.

Silent strokes don’t have any symptoms, but you still may be able to predict them. Find out how.

CHECK OUT THE BOOK HERE https://www.amazon.com/Sun-Tzu-Technology-War-ebook/dp/B00CXACOBS 0:00 Introduction: Can you predict a stroke? 2:22 What is a silent stroke? 3:25 What causes a stroke? 10:00 How to predict a stroke 11:00 Stroke prevention 11:30 Learn more about the best meal to clean out the arteries!

Let’s talk about how to predict a silent stroke. It’s important to understand the nature of a stroke, how the body reacts to it, and how to avoid a stroke.

A silent stroke is a stroke that occurs without any symptoms. The damage it creates in the brain doesn’t affect vital areas, so you might not even know you had a stroke.

The only cues of a silent stroke could be a small lapse in memory, fatigue, dizziness, or a mood change. But, one source states that they occur five times more often than strokes that produce classic symptoms.

If a person has a stroke, they have an increased risk of having another one. Strokes are the second leading cause of death in the world.

One of the most common types of strokes involves a blood clot originating from an artery in the brain. A blood clot is a mechanism of healing a bleeding situation. So we need to look at what causes blood clots and the actual root causes of a stroke.

Potential root causes of a stroke: • High levels of sugar in the blood • An adrenaline spike from chronic stress • Side effects from certain medications • Smoking • Hypertension (insulin resistance, potassium deficiency, vitamin D deficiency)

Top predictors of a stroke: • A high-carb diet • Diabetes • Not consuming enough salad • Stress • A sedentary lifestyle

Top ways to help prevent a stroke: 1. Get on the keto diet and do intermittent fasting 2. Consume plenty of salad 3. Exercise regularly 4. Consume nutrient-dense foods

Morning knee pain doesn’t actually start in the morning. It often begins in the middle of the night, leading to knee pain and knee stiffness that can last 30–60 minutes after you wake up. Knee inflammation may also interfere with deep, restful sleep.

If you have knee pain in the morning, try these simple knee pain exercises before getting out of bed:
1. Ankle pumps
2. Heel slides
3. Quad sets

Research has found that microbes from dental infections may travel through the bloodstream and have been associated with inflammation in the arteries and joints, making oral health an important part of overall joint health.

In addition to knee pain exercises, focus on supporting a healthy inflammatory response. Turmeric and vitamin D may help support healthy knee joints. For best results, take vitamin D with its cofactors: vitamin K2 and magnesium.

Supporting healthy insulin levels may also help promote a healthy inflammatory response.

Improving quadriceps strength is one of the best ways to support healthy knees. Sit-to-stand exercises are a simple way to strengthen the quadriceps and hamstrings while improving knee stability and function.

I'm excited to share a little bit about the upcoming Hack Your Health event that I’ll be speaking at. Please join me in welcoming Robin Switzer, the CEO of the event.

At the Hack Your Health event, I’m going to share fascinating information about the following topics: 1. Cancer 2. The autoimmune disease epidemic 3. The heart’s response to nutrition 4. Metabolomics

Metabolomics allows a practitioner to look deeper at your biochemistry beyond a standard blood test.

Metabolomics provides a bigger picture and is a better strategy for creating health than the standard healthcare model. It can help predict your risk for chronic illnesses like diabetes two decades before they develop.

Misdiagnosis is a common problem people experience when seeking answers about their symptoms. Metabolomics can help reduce misdiagnosis by looking at specific biomarkers to understand precisely what the problem is. The Hack Your Health event will be held in Austin, TX, May 31-June 2. A general admission ticket is $299.00, but it’s discounted to $249.00 for the Dr. Berg community. The goal of the event is to educate as many people as possible!

The Hack Your Health event aims to educate people about more than just diet! I hope to see you there.

What defines normal cholesterol levels today isn’t the same as it was decades ago. As the threshold for high cholesterol has continued to decrease, millions more people have been diagnosed. The focus has also shifted from total cholesterol to LDL cholesterol, but if cholesterol alone is the problem, why do cardiovascular disease rates remain so high?

Not all LDL cholesterol is the same. Small, dense LDL particles are associated with inflammation, while large, buoyant LDL particles behave differently. An advanced lipid profile can help distinguish between these two types.

Insulin resistance is one of the key drivers of high LDL cholesterol and is often linked to the chronic consumption of sugar and starches. A fasting insulin test may provide valuable insight into your metabolic health. Inflammation, low thyroid function, chronic stress, and fatty liver can also contribute to elevated LDL cholesterol.

If you have hypothyroidism, you need to avoid these foods!

0:00 Introduction: Understanding hypothyroidism 0:10 What are goitrogens? 0:20 What is a goiter? 1:03 Foods to avoid for hypothyroidism 4:00 Discover the best foods for hypothyroidism!

Let’s talk about the top foods to avoid if you have a hypothyroid condition.

Goitrogens are things that cause a goiter. A goiter is an enlarged thyroid gland. Goitrogenic foods interfere with certain enzymes and hormones and can lead to a goiter.

Foods to avoid for hypothyroidism: 1. Cassava 2. Lima beans 3. Sorgum 4. Sweet potato 5. Flax seed 6. Cruciferous vegetables 7. Millet 8. Soy products 9. Onions 10. Gluten

If you have cruciferous vegetables in very small amounts (less than five ounces), it shouldn’t be a problem.

Cooking, steaming, or fermenting cruciferous vegetables also reduces their goitrogenic effect. Having sea kelp as well may also help.

You would also want to avoid anything that depletes selenium, iodine, iron, and vitamin A.

Good sources of selenium and iodine: • Seafood • Sea kelp • Sea salt

Good sources of iron: • Red meat • Animal products

Good sources of vitamin A: • Egg yolks • Butter • Cod liver oil • Beef liver

QUIT Eating for 3 Days

What happens to your body during a 3-day fast? Extended fasting is one of the best things you can do for your health! In this video, we’ll discuss the benefits of fasting, and if you’re confused about how to fast, my fasting tips have you covered!

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

0:00 Introduction: Not eating for 3 days 0:10 72-hour fast benefits 1:00 Fasting benefits for cancer 2:25 Fasting tips 5:09 Extended fasting and exercise

Today, we’re going to talk about the benefits of fasting. Many people describe feelings of euphoria and bliss after a 3-day fast. Fasting is often done for spiritual or mental benefits, and it’s the only way to achieve deep cleaning in the body. Extended fasting is also a great way to exercise willpower.

One of the most significant risk factors for cancer is age, due to the cumulative damage to your cells. Cancer tends to grow into areas of inflammation and low oxygen, and fasting is one of the most potent ways to reduce inflammation.

Cancer can not live on the ketones that come from fasting. Ketones support your brain and even activate genes that extend your life. Extended fasting may prevent cancer, so aim for a monthly 72-hour fast.

Fasting significantly lowers insulin. Your body can not grow a tumor when insulin is low. To further reduce cancer risk, increase oxygen by going for long walks while fasting. Exercise significantly increases oxygen. Growth hormone also increases while you’re fasting, which helps you burn fat and preserve muscle.

Apply the following fasting tips for the easiest transition and the most fasting benefits: •Increase fat intake 1 to 2 days before fasting •Practice intermittent fasting regularly before trying extended fasting •Consume plenty of electrolytes •Consume sea salt •Don't break your fast with sweets or carbs •Try fermented vegetables, eggs, or bone broth to break your fast •Slowly wake up your digestive system after fasting

If you’re prone to gallstones, you could experience increased bile sludge while fasting. TUDCA keeps bile thin and flowing properly through the ducts. Take 2 TUDCA twice daily.

Don’t do extended fasting if you’re pregnant or lactating!

Did you know that your morning walk can lengthen your life? In this video, we’ll cover the fascinating health benefits of walking. From decreased anxiety and depression to improved digestion, learn more about the benefits of walking every day!

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

0:00 Introduction: Walking benefits 0:10 Health effects of walking 0:40 Health benefits of walking for blood sugar 1:10 More benefits of walking 2:25 Research on walking benefits 3:23 Stress relief tips while walking 4:16 Dr. Gilles Lamarche on sprinting 5:36 Hypoxia training 6:20 Walking mistakes

Research has shown that taking fewer than 2,000 steps daily increases disease rates. Anything over 4500 steps shows cardiovascular benefits, and taking more than 7000 steps daily significantly improves your health, including longevity.

Walking after a meal can help eliminate any extra sugar you consume. If you wake up with high blood glucose, a morning walk can help lower it and prevent it from being converted into fat.

Walking activates your muscles and can improve mood issues like depression. It lowers high blood pressure and can boost weight loss, especially visceral fat loss. Walking while fasting can significantly improve fasting benefits. Walking briskly and walking uphill enhances the benefits of walking.

A 2017 Japanese study found that 3 minutes of fast-paced walking followed by 3 minutes of regular walking significantly affected blood pressure levels and leg strength. Repeating this cycle 5 times was more beneficial than 1.5 to 2 hours of walking.

For more walking benefits, try backward walking! It strengthens the knees, ankles, and hips. Nasal breathing while walking can increase CO2, which makes oxygen more efficient in your blood.

Walking can reduce cortisol naturally, helping to relieve stress. Leave your phone and music at home, and focus on the sights, sounds, and smells during your walk.

Another way to increase the benefits of walking is with hypoxia training. To do this, inhale for 3 steps and exhale for 4 steps. You can also try holding your breath for 5 to 10 seconds, every few minutes. Hypoxia training can trigger genes that can strengthen your body, decrease inflammation, and improve recovery.

Avoid the following mistakes while walking: •Leaning too far forward •Wearing uncomfortable shoes •Poor timing •Overtraining

Let’s talk about how to stop excessive sweating—not just in your hands, but your whole body.

There are three sources of perspiration: 1. The eccrine gland Responds to: • Exercise • Emotional stress • Hot weather Releases: • Electrolytes for cooling

2. Apocrine gland Responds to: • Emotional stress • Fear • Pain Releases: • Electrolytes for cooling

3. Sebaceous gland Releases: • Sebum for lubrication

It’s the overstimulation of the eccrine gland that really causes excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), and it’s typically triggered by stress.

Even though you might not feel stressed, your body may have a low threshold for stress and can respond to even the smallest things.

Some treatments for hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating are surgery or medications. But, we want to explore more natural alternatives for excessive sweating.

Natural remedies for excessive sweating: 1. Rosmarinic acid (rosemary and sage) 2. Vitamin B1 (thiamine)

This is so wrong! Chemical industries are attempting to pass pesticide immunity legislation granting legal immunity to the producers of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. Find out what you can do to stop the pesticide immunity bill. Your health is on the line!

This new chemical immunity bill pretends to support farmers while legally granting immunity from lawsuits against harm to the producers of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. There have been billions of dollars in settlements from glyphosate, and there are currently 165,000 active cancer lawsuits against the producer. If this immunity bill passes, all of these lawsuits will go away!

Section 453 of the bill grants legal immunity to domestic and foreign chemical producers. Future failure-to-warn pesticide lawsuits would be dismissed.

We often trust chemicals and drugs that are considered safe and effective, only to find out that they are actually deadly. This is due to a loophole allowing drug and chemical companies to keep negative safety studies confidential and unpublished.

The Modern Ag Alliance is a “front group” created by Bayer. They create grassroots movements to make it appear that most people agree that glyphosate is a critical farming tool. They claim that it's safe and vital to secure our food supply.

Groups within the WHO have labeled glyphosate as a probable carcinogen for humans, and many people have won cancer lawsuits against the manufacturer. Despite the evidence, chemical companies are taking a food security stance, claiming we will starve without glyphosate.

Kelly Ryerson explains that if these companies achieve legal immunity, they will be allowed to continue to use chemicals that have been shown to cause health problems like Parkinson’s, cancer, ALS, infertility, and more, with no consequences! This agricultural chemical liability shield will be virtually impossible to reverse if passed.

To fight back against the pesticide legal immunity bill, contact your state senators and tell them you do not support any language granting legal immunity to chemical companies!

Is bread bad for you? I won’t tell you not to consume bread, but consider what would happen if you gave it up.

0:00 Introduction: Is bread healthy? 0:30 Negative effects of bread 0:55 Gluten explained 5:44 Gluten-free foods 6:05 Alternative bread recipes 6:18 Learn more about the healthiest bread you can eat!

Is bread keto-friendly? No. Is bread good for you? No. Let’s talk about why.

Consuming bread raises your blood sugar levels and affects the body in many negative ways. Most bread also contains glyphosate, an herbicide that can lead to many health issues.

Another big problem with bread is that it contains gluten. Gluten is a general term for a variety of proteins. These proteins are in certain grains, especially wheat.

Our bodies can’t fully digest gluten, and it’s associated with celiac disease. The great majority of people actually have a genetic problem that causes them to be gluten-intolerant.

However, a lot of people don’t notice any symptoms even though they have a genetic problem with gluten intolerance. This could be because one specific protein that’s part of the gluten complex stimulates a person’s opioid receptors.

This can mask GI symptoms from eating gluten even though the gluten is still damaging your body. Just because you’re not experiencing GI symptoms from gluten doesn’t mean it’s not affecting your body in other ways.

Other gluten side effects can include: • Diabetes • Hashimoto’s • Psoriasis • Dermatitis • Depression • Anxiety • Autism • ADD • Changes in the brain and brain function • Heavy or irregular periods • Erectile dysfunction

Consider not consuming bread or grains for just one month and see how you feel—I think you’ll notice a huge difference.

Today we’re going to talk about the link between digestion and sleep. I’m also going to give you some helpful tips for better sleep.

You need enough melatonin to get to sleep and stay asleep. But, melatonin supplements may not be the best idea because you’re not fixing the root cause of your sleep problem.

Melatonin comes from another hormone called serotonin—90% of the serotonin in your body is made with the help of your friendly bacteria.

Your friendly bacteria turns tryptophan into serotonin and then converts it to melatonin. But, you also need vitamin B6 to help with these conversions.

If you have trouble sleeping, it’s important to focus on supporting your microbiome.

Here are a few fantastic ways to support the microbiome so you can start sleeping better: • Take probiotics  • Take vitamin B6 • Consume kefir  • Consume fermented foods (sauerkraut or kimchi) • Consume fiber from vegetables (unless you have a gut problem)

If you do intermittent fasting, you may start getting better sleep if you shift your eating window to earlier in the day. This means you would have breakfast and your second meal no later than 3 pm.

#1 Best Meal to Clear Your Arteries

9 min
View

Instead of telling you what not to eat, today I’m going to tell you what to eat! Find out how to clean your arteries of arterial plaque buildup and discover the unexpected foods that unclog arteries naturally.

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

0:00 Introduction: How to clean arteries naturally 0:19 The endothelial layer 1:30 Nitric oxide 2:28 Magnesium and clogged arteries 4:40 The best meal to clean out your arteries 5:07 Foods that unclog arteries 6:20 Vitamin D for heart health

Overview of the Healthy Keto® Diet: https://drbrg.co/4k4Ayqyhttps://drbrg.co/4109Iqz

Healthy Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting Videos: ▶️    • Dr. Berg's Healthy Keto® Diet Plan - Inter...   ▶️    • Dr. Berg's Guide to Healthy Keto® Eating: ...

The endothelial layer is the innermost layer of your arteries. It controls blood pressure, acts as a filter, prevents clots, and supports immune function.

The inside of your arteries is very susceptible to problems with insulin. Most people have insulin resistance, which is caused by chronic carbohydrate consumption and constant snacking.

Nitric oxide relaxes the blood vessels and is vital for the health of the endothelial layer of the arteries. Vitamin D triggers nitric oxide, which is why many people who are low in vitamin D also have high blood pressure. Arginine, testosterone, and magnesium also trigger nitric oxide.

Vitamin D and magnesium can help prevent calcium from building up in the arteries, and vitamin K2 also helps to prevent calcium buildup.

Foods like whole grains and seed oils are deemed “heart healthy,” but they spike insulin. We’re also told to avoid saturated fats because of the cholesterol content. There’s a lot of false information regarding a diet that’s truly healthy for your heart.

The best meal to clean your arteries would involve foods that don’t spike insulin. A low-carb ketogenic diet is best for your heart.

The primary part of the best meal to clean out your arteries should be grass-fed red meat. If you’re having a burger, melt raw cheese on top because it’s high in vitamin K2. Red meat is loaded with zinc, which can directly improve your testosterone.

Include a salad with your meal. Arugula is a great addition to any salad, as it can increase nitric oxide and is rich in vitamins C and E. Pumpkin seeds are also beneficial due to their high magnesium, zinc, and selenium content.

Vitamin D3 is vital for a healthy heart. Sunlight is the best source, but you may need to take a supplement in the winter. Take at least 10,000 IU daily as a maintenance dose.

The herb we’re talking about is dandelion! You can eat dandelion greens and flowers to get these amazing health benefits. You can try a dandelion salad or incorporate a few dandelions into your greens mix. Dandelion greens can also be roasted or sautéed.

Discover the underlying cause of nocturia to stop frequent urination at night for good. Once you understand the root cause, you can quickly decrease urination frequency at night and sleep better immediately.

Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food)

0:00 Introduction: How to fix urination frequency at night 0:33 Enlarged prostate and frequent urination 0:54 What causes nocturia? 1:40 Insulin resistance and an overactive bladder 3:16 What increases urination frequency at night? 5:02 Low-salt diets and frequent urination 5:42 Keto and intermittent fasting to reduce urination frequency

Overview of the Healthy Ketogenic Diet: https://drbrg.co/3CNCkePhttps://drbrg.co/3QlnPlm

Attempting to address urination frequency by treating an enlarged prostate is not the best solution! Frequent urination is often blamed on an enlarged prostate, UTIs, or kidney stones, but there’s a much more common root cause.

The most common cause of frequent urination at night is too much insulin in your blood. Insulin resistance is a condition where your insulin receptors no longer accept insulin. To compensate, the pancreas produces more insulin. This is why many diabetics have a problem with urinary frequency at night.

When blood sugar is high, the kidneys remove the sugar from the blood to eliminate it from the body. This increases urination frequency.

Insulin resistance causes an overactive bladder, even if your blood sugar is normal. Increased urinary frequency at night is an early sign of insulin resistance, which is a precursor to diabetes.

Insulin resistance increases stress on the kidneys, which is why diabetes is the leading cause of kidney disease. Insulin resistance can also cause electrolyte imbalances, blood pressure changes at night, and increased cortisol.

Snacking at night is the single most significant cause of frequent urination at night. Eliminate all snacks and beverages after dinner to decrease urination frequency at night. Snacking at night can also cause bloating and interrupted sleep.

A low-salt diet can also increase urination frequency at night. If you think your nocturia is due to low salt, add more sea salt to your meals throughout the day.

A low-carb diet can help reduce nocturia symptoms. Keep your carb consumption under 30 grams per day. Healthy Keto® can combat insulin resistance, improve your health, and reduce frequent urination at night.

Intermittent fasting is equally important in reversing insulin resistance. Aim for 3 meals with no snacks, eventually dropping down to 2 meals each day.

Ending nocturia will significantly enhance your sleep, which is vital for your heart, blood sugar, stress levels, energy, cognitive function, and more. Don’t forget to get plenty of vitamin D with magnesium.

Sleep detoxifies our brains! Refined sugars, junk food, and late-night snacking can interfere with sleep. If you want better sleep, eat earlier in the day. For the best sleep, have your last meal around 5:00 p.m. If you're waking at night to urinate, intermittent fasting and a low-carb diet can help.

Inflammatory foods, such as grains, can also interfere with your sleep. High carbohydrate diets increase your need for vitamin B1, which reduces anxiety and tension.

Kefir contains probiotics that can build up serotonin, which turns into melatonin, the sleep hormone. L. reuteri yogurt also contains helpful probiotics to improve sleep. Consume ½ cup daily; it doesn't have to be before bed.

Try the following tips for better sleep to help you wake up early feeling refreshed and energized: •Sleep in a 65 to 68 degree room •If you have cold feet at night, try sleeping with warm socks •Plants in the room can help oxygenate the space and improve sleep •The darker the environment, the better

Light inhibits melatonin. Blue light from your computer or phone stimulates energy, while infrared lighting helps you wind down. Around 50% of the sun’s rays are infrared and can penetrate several inches into the body. Infrared light helps you make vitamin D, which is vital for sleep and increasing melatonin.

Since culture has pushed us away from sun exposure, sleep quality has declined. Alcohol will make you feel tired, but it interferes with deep sleep. Caffeine, tea, coffee, and chocolate act as stimulants and prevent sleep.

Increase exercise to improve sleep. Stretching and massage can also help you relax. Here are a few more deep sleep tips that can significantly improve sleep quality: •Sleep on your right side •Focus on nose breathing •Reduce stress for better sleep •Ensure adequate sodium intake to maintain healthy cortisol levels •Increase potassium intake •Consume magnesium glycinate powder 1 hour before bed •Sound machine •Binaural beats •Use essential oils (Spikenard, vetiver)

Today we’re going to talk about an overlooked cause of coronary artery calcification: lactic acidosis. Lactic acidosis occurs as a byproduct of glucose metabolism.

Both lactic acidosis and lactate in the blood are associated with various health issues, including: • Heart attacks • Thrombosis • Panic attacks • Autonomic nervous system dysfunction • Bipolar disorder • Schizophrenia • Sepsis • Arrhythmia problems • Liver disease • Diabetes • Cancer • Restless leg syndrome

Calcification in the arteries is not just caused by old age, consuming too much calcium, or even a vitamin K2 deficiency.

It turns out that one cause of vascular calcification is hypoxia in the arteries. Hypoxia is a lack of oxygen, and this lack of oxygen in the arteries can be caused by lactic acidosis.

The top causes of lactic acidosis: • A high-carb diet • An overactive sympathetic dominance situation (chronic stress) • Metformin • Warfarin • Statins • Alcohol • Overtraining

The top symptoms of lactic acidosis are breathing problems and restlessness, especially in the leg muscles.

How to get rid of lactic acidosis: 1. Get on the keto diet 2. Reduce your stress 3. Consume natural vitamin B1 (thiamine) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting.
