Murray is easily the most exciting player in the NFL right now, and he’s closing fast on Patrick Mahomes in the race for the MVP. While the NFL seems to have figured out Lamar Jackson, Murray has taken his game up another level. Speaking of Jackson, he still hasn’t shown the ability to come from behind and win. Even more concerning, however, is that he seems to have taken a step a back in Year Two with offensive coordinator Greg Roman. Now, there are a lot of conclusions you can draw from that game, but the biggest one is this: There is no dominant team in today's NFL. The Bucs might be the most complete team, but dominant teams don't get beat by 35 points. The Seattle Seahawks defense can't stop a nosebleed, and the Green Bay Packers got their doors blown off 2 weeks ago. Even the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers needed a 4th quarter comeback to beat the hapless Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. In fact, Jason argues that in a field of very-good-but-not-great teams, the only way to really determine whose the best is by identifying which team has the best player, and that honor belongs to the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes has re-asserted himself as the clear-cut MVP frontrunner, but his greatness is being taken for granted. In many ways, Mahomes is the LeBron James of the NFL: He should be the MVP every year, but voters will still find a way to give it someone else. Later, Jason explains why it's time to consider blowing up the Chicago Bears. Nick Foles is clearly not a franchise quarterback, and noted offensive 'guru' Matt Nagy has shown that he's anything but. Jason also shares a quick thought on Jim Harbaugh's latest embarrassing loss as the head coach at Michigan, and explain why he's almost certain that Harbaugh will be back in the NFL next season. On today’s episode, Jason starts things off my explaining how the Baltimore Ravens loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers proves that Lamar Jackson is the Giannis Antetokounmpo of the NFL - a marvelous regular season player whose fatal flaws get exposed against the best competition. Three years into his NFL career, Jackson still hasn’t shown he’s a good enough passer to beat good teams when his ability to run has been taken away either through scheme or game flow. Until he proves he can win games from the pocket, the Ravens will never win big in the postseason. Jason also explains why the Tennessee Titans and Green Bay Packers both losing to 1-win teams proves that neither team should be viewed as a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Only frauds lose to bad teams this deep into the season. What’s more, Aaron Rodgers seems to recognize that his team is lacking in at least one area and he’s doing everything he can to force the Packers front office into making a move before the trade deadline.
