Following this series The Signs of Judgement Day, Sheikh Yasir Qadhi takes on the topic of the Masih al-Dajjal, the first of the ten major signs of Judgment Day.
The topic of Dajjal is begun in this talk and concluded in the next. This episode introduces the individual Masih al-Dajjal and differentiates him from the our beloved prophet Isa a.s. to whom the term Masih is also applied. There is however a clear difference between the two titles and Sheikh Yasir delves into this matter thoroughly.
Our respected Sheikh thereafter proceeds to expound the origin of Dajjal, an aspect Muslims have always been curious about. And it is also interesting to note that the Dajjal is mentioned in other religious scriptures too under the title the Antichrist.
With everything that's happening in the world today and the speed at which Time appears to be moving, let us not waste any more of that precious commodity Allah has gifted Muslims. Make the time today to listen to this series on the Signs of Judgment Day by Sheikh Yasir Qadhi.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi delves into the topic of the Day of Judgement and we are acquainted with the Minor Signs of the Judgement Day.
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Did you ever hear of a city located partly on land and partly in the sea? They (the Companions) said: Messenger of Allah Ever. He Saw said: It happened the day of Resurrection, so he was attacked by 70,000 people from Bani Ishaq. When they had got there, so they enter it. They are not fighting with guns and did not release any single arrows. They just say La ilaha illa Allaah Akbar, then fell one part of the city. Said Tsaur (narrators of hadith): I do not know unless it is; only say that troops are in the sea. Then they say the second time Laa ilaha illa Allaah Akbar, then fell also some other (land). Then they said again Laa ilaha illa Allaah Akbar, then opened all of the city. Then they entered it. When they were handing out the war booty, suddenly there came a man (Satan), shouting: Behold the liars have been out. Then they left everything and come back.” - This Hadith predicts many westerners converting to Islam and they will conquer Constantinople without any bloodshed .
In the Arabian Peninsula, there shall be tall buildings and skyscrapers.
The Ummah of the Prophet ﷺ will have plenty of wealth.
Evils will spread like the loss of trust among people.
The rise and spread of evil and corrupt leaders.
There would be plenty of bloodshed among the Ummah continually until Judgement Day.
Killing, bloodshed and war would be increased.
Intercourse outside of marriage - Zina - will become a norm of sorts.
The proliferation of intoxicants and music till the end of time.
Building of magnificent Masajid that are empty.
Children will become bossy and domineering over the parents and be disrespectful towards them.
Multiple shopping centers and souqs will be in large quantities and this will lead of hardening of the hearts and diminishing of Taqwa.
Obesity will be rampant among the people.
Ar Room will be the dominant civilisation of the world. This is indicated at the Modern West.
Writing would become prevalent and literacy will be at its peak.
The coming of Muhammad Ibn Abdillah - the Mahdi - this is the link between the end of the Minor signs and the beginning of the Major Signs - which is the coming of Dajjal.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi provides an elaborate insight into the signs and the concept of the Judgement Day in this amazing lecture.
Understanding the concept of the Day of Judgement and its signs awakens us to the reality of the actual Day of Qiyamah.

It gives us a sense of comfort.

The Daabbah - The Beast
The rising of the sun from the west
Coming down of Isa AS

The Prophet ﷺ predicted this when Ammar Ibn Yasir RA was being tortured - He said that a lady would come from Sanaa with her flock of sheep and she would bring peace and security in the nethers.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi answers the most often asked question on the ruling regarding the Fate of good Non Muslims.
Allah is the Hakam and we are His Makhlook. Allah does as He pleases and nobody challenges what His actions. To judge Allah from our finite wisdom is the height of arrogance. He has a Code of Law, which was legislated by Him and He says that He will not do injustice even of an atom’s weight.
Numerous verses in the Qur'an are quoted that explicitly assert the fate in the Hereafter of the non believers and those who stray from the path of Islam.
A non believer may go to Jannah only as an exception and not as a general ruling or an ethical perspective.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi explains on the issue of people going to western courts for marriage and divorce issues and what should be done when it conflicts with Islamic Law.
In a nutshell, this is a case by case verdict and not a general matter. First, a Shari'ah standpoint should be advised and tried to incorporate into the arbitration. They should go to a qualified Faqih and sort it out.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi answers the pertinent question - is minute quantities of alcohol permitted in one’s food?
The basic rule for this with reference to the Hadith is that applies is that which intoxicates in large quantities is Haram in small quantities.
Not every alcohol is Khamar and vice versa is also true. Vanilla extract has a lot of ethanol in it but it serves only as a solvent. So even if we eat food that has lots of vanilla incorporated into it, it does not become Haram and does not intoxicate us.
Shaykh Yasir takes on the question of Einstein’s theory of relativity being Shirk. The Shaykh simply advises caution on what we think and what we accept. Einstein is not talking theology and hence, there is nothing wrong with it. Allah SWT can change whatever He wants as and when He wills.
Shaykh answers the question on the permissibility of carrying a small Qur'an in the wallet or car for Barakah.
The answer is given on a theological basis and it is permissible to turn the Quran for protection and it is not Shirk. But is this proper etiquette or Adab towards the Qur'an for Barakah? Shaykh Yasir Qadhi answers.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi delves on some practical steps on how we can eliminate and dissipate anger.
Of the primary causes of anger is the over inflation of one’s own ego. So, humility and eliminating our ego is the key to overcoming anger.
Eliminating vulgar vocabulary from one’s tongue.
Eliminating argumentation.
Do not open your mouth.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi delves into the ruling on cryptocurrency.
Cryptocurrency is based on decentralized commodities to be a type of currency not backed by banks and the government.
The Fiqh Council issued a fatwa that cryptocurrency is not prohibited and hence, it is halal unless proven otherwise.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi delves into the subject of Udhiya.
Udhiya is the sacrifice done to please Allah from 10 Dhul Hijjah till before Maghrib of 13 Dhul Hijjah. Sacrifice is one of the greatest deeds of worship during the days of Hajj. For every hair on the animal, one shall get a good deed.
Udhiya is Wajib on every Muslim who is financially stable. It is advisable to give one third each to the family, give to relatives and give to charity. Trimming of hair and nails is considered Makrooh during the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah for the ones who are giving Udhiyah and not performing Hajj.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi delves into the permissibility of organ donation. Can one donate their organs?
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi provides us with valid pointers and the concept of organ donation, thereby, facilitating our comprehension of the terms and conditions for this phenomenon to be made permissible.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi delves into the technicalities of permissibility of backbiting.
Imam An Nawawi mentions some exceptions when backbiting is allowed:
When somebody has done Zulm on you.
When we need to warn the community against a general Maslaha.
If somebody comes to you for a personal advice for a greater good.
It is indeed possible for someone to be born in a certain Madhab without really knowing that Madhab particularly means. What should a person do if they find themselves in such a situation? Shaykh Yasir Qadhi answers beautifully.
A Madhab is a human attempt to arrive at the Shari'ah of Allah. These were the efforts of scholars to codify the Shari'ah. There are 4 Madhabs - Hanafi, Shafi, Maliki and Hanbali. The Madhab is a set of parameters or Usool on how to approach the Islamic text when in a conflicting situation. This is why the bulk of the Ummah follows a particular Madhab to make one’s life easier and is the historical norm.
We all know of Khalid Al-Walid r.a. This talk is about his brother Walid ibn Al-Walid ibn Mughirah.
It is about the one known good deed performed by Walid r.a. from which emanated an abundance of good deeds through his brother Khalid Al-Walid.
What is this good deed from which Walid r.a. will be rewarded? And do you want to know the extent of Walid r.a.'s reward? Please make time to listen to this short yet beneficial talk today.
What does Aql mean? Shaykh Yasir Qadhi explores the linguistic and Islamic meaning.
Aql means something that reigns over us during times of danger, foolishness and stupidity. The Aqil is a good worshiper of Allah.
Everyone who sins in a state of ignorance and then repents, Allah will forgive them. This reasserts the fact that a Jahil or ignorant person is one who commits a sin and not the one who is blessed with Aql.
The purpose of Aql is to recognize the truth and to shy away from it is utter foolishness, no matter what is the length and breadth of one’s achievements.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi advises the Muslim Ummah to stick to mainstream Islam and avoid mingling with fringe cults, radical movements or anything which is against the bulk of the Muslim Ummah.
What do the mainstream Islam supporters believe in? They believe in the Qur'an, the Sunnah and in respecting the Sahaba. Anyone who tries to find a new cult, radically trying to interpret the faith and preaching it which is against the classical belief that existed from 1400 years is definitely misguiding the Ummah.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi delves into the supremacy and wholeness of our beautiful religion - Islam.
The very first revelation was Iqra. The purpose of the first revelation was that Allah wanted to give Prophet Muhammad ﷺ the knowledge that will be sent from Allah in the times to come. The first Iqra is a reference to the Islamic sciences linked to Allah and the Second Iqra that comes in the Surah is a reference to the derived sciences that we derive.
We are the only religion in the world that when we reached the pinnacle of religiosity, we also had the knowledge of Science. Hence, Allah has told us to first learn the knowledge of religion and then learn the knowledge of the world.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi narrates a very beautiful incident involving a Christian monk called Juraij who had cut himself from society and worshiped Allah constantly.
He neglected his mother multiple times when she sought his help. This angered his mother so much that she made a dua against him to Allah.
What happened as a result of this dua? Listen intently and be mesmerised at how a connection between knowledge and worship is made.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi experiences a personal loss and is in a whirlwind of emotions even as he expresses his thoughts on the death of his aunt. He reasserts the fact that death is an inevitable reality that we almost always ignore. Every soul will face it - the wise one prepares for it.
Also, we tend to take family and loved ones for granted and do not give them the attention and love that they truly deserve before anyone else. Blood is thicker than any other worldly relationship. Hence, he implores upon us not to hold grudges, forgive and move on. After the death of loved ones, grudges transform into regret at lost opportunities.
He also gives us ways to remain connected with our kith and kin and make time for them no matter what to avoid regrets later in life.
The Shaykh finally implores us to leave a legacy behind with which people will remember us for the good we did and this could be something as simple as maintaining friendly and loving relations with everyone.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi discusses the effects of destroying the ego of one’s husband. One who diminishes ego of her husband, she has destroyed his pride. To pinpoint his mistakes all the time and hovering over him showcasing his shortcomings, is a recipe for disaster. He should be the nourisher and provider in your eyes and he will come to your rescue.
As wives, they should choose your words and tone of the voice should be modulated so as to not sound discerning and derogatory. Choosing the word ‘You’ over ‘I’ is what makes matters worse and situations go wayward. The Shaykh gives appropriate examples.
Until the women do not become damsels in distress, the men will not be knights in shining armour!
Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi enumerates the 3 prime advice to the community in this short video.
Allah wants to forgive us. Hence, we should be wanting of Allah’s forgiveness at all times.
We must all be ambassadors of Islam that promotes peace and mercy in today's world.
We must protect our Islam through our families, and our families through Islam.
Shaykh Yasir talks about some of the reasons why Allah doesn't accept one's duas right away, including the wisdom behind a delayed response.
Every dua is responded to and as opposed to what we normally assume. The answer of Allah is not necessarily what you have asked which we may not understand always.
Some wisdom behind a delayed response are as follows:
Allah is the Malik.
Man does not have a right over his Creator.
A delay in response is a trial.
Allah is the Most Wise.
The matter might bring evil.
Allah’s Choice is better than the choice of the servant.
Man does not know the result of his Dua.
Trials bring one closer to Allah.
We must always believe that Allah choice is better than our choice. Allah Qadr is better than our desire.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi concludes the series of the Ramadan Khatirah with the Dua of Ibraheem in Surah Baqarah, Verse 127 -128.
"And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ismael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing. Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are Accepting of repentance, the Merciful."
Why are our deed not accepted by Allah?
If the deed is done to show off and please someone else and not for Allah.
If it makes you feel privileged over the others.
If it makes one feel arrogant about his good deed.
If the deed or charity is done from Haram money.
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi contemplates on the verse below. The context of this verse is when the Muslims first heard of the Battle of Badr and they heard the enemy army approaching for which they were unprepared.
They said,
"Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs."
[Surah Ale Imran, 3:173]
The verse has also been recited in other places in the Qur'an.
"If only they had been satisfied with what Allah and His Messenger gave them and said, "Sufficient for us is Allah ; Allah will give us of His bounty, and [so will] His Messenger; indeed, we are desirous toward Allah," [it would have been better for them]."
[Surah Tawbah, 9:59]
This dua is not a dua so much so as it is a statement. The reason why this verse is so powerful is that the request is included in the statement and we present it as firm Iman. it is an affirmation of one’s Iman and that is sufficient to obtain Allah’s Rahmah and Mercy.
