Adam Carolla Show

Adam asks comedian David Cross about his recent visit to London. David says he was once there for six months, and often travels back and forth. They talk about the shrillness of the American accent, and how a British accent makes you sound smart even when you're a dumbass. They also talk about the London paparazzi scene, and David is fascinated how people of a lower economic class can be so fascinated by rich people soap operas.



After a character breakdown of classic sitcoms like Good Times and Family Affair, David mentions that he once saw actor John Amos naked in a health spa. Adam complains about saunas with no steam, and talks with David about proper towel etiquette. Adam also talks about a naked guy he saw shaving in Las Vegas, and tells a story involving Ray from his bachelor party in Lake Arrowhead.



David talks about the NY hipsters, and people that consider themselves above trash TV, but do nothing but promote it by writing about it. He points out that if these people didn't write snarky comments about it, no one would be writing about it period. Adam agrees, saying it's 'weird to dedicate your life to other people.' David points out 'it's not even criticism. It's just making obvious fun of an obvious thing to make fun of, and that's all you do.'



The guys then spend time talking about their relationship with their fathers, quickly transitioning into a conversation about their sisters. Adam reflects that growing up in his house was just like growing up every man for himself-his sister was just another person trapped in the same situation he was. David talks about his trailer park sister, whom he has nothing in common with. He then talks about Thanksgiving dinner with the family, and bailing his sister out of prison.



The topic begins to revolve around the sensitive issue of money, and whether or not rich people should pay more in taxes. There's a clear disagreement between Adam and David, but both guys get in excellent points to defend their view. David also talks about the pains of doing stand-up comedy back when he was first beginning, and agrees with Adam that Boston comedians have a mean energy and find joy in other people's suffering.

The Adam Carolla Show welcomes Brody Stevens, as Adam is still performing live shows in Houston this week. Brody jokes that he's wearing shorts on this very rainy day-not giving into the weather. He jokes about the Padres, discusses the origins of his name, and sings an original song accompanied by tambourine.



Brody then takes a series of listener calls, beginning with someone who remembers Brody from his open mic days at The Gotham. Another caller asks about the sketch comdy pilot The Right Now! Show, and Brody goes on a side story about meeting Michael Chiklis in a Starbucks. Lastly, Brody takes a call from a guy living in Studio City, and gives him some advice on the ladies.



After the break, Danielle Harris comes in studio, star of the new horror film, Hatchet II. They talk about the controversy surrounding the film: it was supposed to be the first unrated, uncut film distributed by a major theater chain, but AMC decided to pull it from theaters. Danielle hopes the film will be available via Video onDemand in the near future.



Brody talks to her more about starring in horror films, and admits that he himself was terrified of horror movies growing up. They talk about Danielle's experience working in four separate Halloween films, and the superstitions of how being killed in a movie can affect your acting career.



Brody and Danielle also talk about growing up Jewish but never getting a bar or bat mitzvah. After some time, they go back to discussing Danielle's new film, and review the cast of horror icons that are featured alongside her.



Finally, the guys take your calls for a round of Hobo Power. You tell us your stink story, and we'll rank the funk!

Since Adam is doing shows in Texas, Paul Gilmartin is filling in as host. Guesting on the show is Jimmy Pardo, but Jimmy points out that normally Paul is the guest on his show. Paul says his plan for the show is to take calls discussing Awkward Sexual Moments. He tells his own story from his teen years, and Jimmy chimes in with his.



Jumping into your calls, stories vary from a guy who gruesomely lost his virginity, and a guy who dealt with a woman who had bowel control issues. Overall, Paul and Jimmy are horrified by some of the stories, wishing they were 'more fumbly' and 'less vomitty.'



In the second half of the show, Paul opens by contemplating where in time he would go if he had a time machine. He starts discussing guitar player Django Reinhardt, an incredible musician who played with two fingers. They also talk about Tony Iommi, who lost part of his fingers in a sheet metal accident, but was inspired by Reinhardt to keep playing. They also chat about Woodstock, and some of their musical guilty pleasures.



Going back to the phone lines, listeners have a wide range of times and places they'd like to observe: from the 1920's, to the time of Jesus, to watching your folks get it on. Jimmy thinks it's a crap bit, but the calls keep coming.

Adam and Dr. Drew open by discussing the recent appearance of Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler on Adam's show. Dr. Drew explains how when they first met he was a mess, but that he responded extremely well to treatment. Adam also shares his thoughts on Lindsay Lohan and says it's tough to change when you're young. Dr. Drew points to Jack Osbourne as an example of someone young who it did work on, but he agrees that most young people just don't get it.



Adam asks Dr. Drew for advice on how to handle his daughter, who is already harboring strong dislike toward him. Drew suggests that part of it is genetic, but says he thinks something interesting will come of the relationship; and not necessarily what Adam thinks it will be. Adam also talks about doing activities with both his twins, but rarely getting one-on-one time. Dr. Drew points out that twins often define themselves by what their other twin is not. They then go on a tangent about the clown painting in Adam's bathroom.



The first call of the day deals with a 40-year-old who lacks the drive to be in a relationship. Adam discusses the trend of people coming from good environments that still don't want to be in relationships, and they both agree that it stems from prolonged adolescence.



Dr. Drew tells a story about visiting The Wrigley Mansion, where beautiful marble was recently discovered beneath the shag carpet. It reminds Adam of an old pair of leather shoes he bought 10 years ago and still stores in a box even though they're ugly as hell. He goes on a huge rant, wanting people to apologize to him for shushing him when he said the shoes were ugly, or that a particular band or song sucked.



Adam also wants apologies for all the shitty promotions that he and Drew had to endure when they worked so closely all the time. Dr. Drew tells a story of how he and Adam had to endure Media Training, even though Adam said it was a waste of time. Adam and Drew were forced to sit through fake interviews, and Adam said nothing until he eventually let loose on the 'non-talent' and 'non-comedy' people that tried to dictate what he was supposed to say.



Jumping back into calls, Adam and Dr. Drew give a young listener some advice on how to approach women. Another caller is a guy whose wife is into rough sex, but he doesn't know how to initiate it. A second question from the same caller deals with anal sex, which leads Dr. Drew to discuss the dangers of Anal Cancer. He and Adam talk about Farrah Fawcett, and expand into other celebrity deaths that should have led to important discussions, but instead the media focused on other things.



All of this sends Adam into another rant about how parents need to take care of their kids, and even Drew gets fired up about this. Adam very quickly shuffles through a couple more calls involving cheating, and a couple that is no longer sexually active. To the latter, Adam suggests having a couple glasses of wine and getting it on, but Dr. Drew suggests getting proper medical evaluation if her husband is not physically able to perform.

Adam sits down one-on-one with documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock. Morgan compliments Adam on the comfortable couches, and they compare the interview experience to doing an episode of Jay Leno or David Letterman. Morgan also talks a bit about his latest film, 'Freakonomics,' based on the best selling book. Adam asks Morgan about some of his favorite facts from the movie, and tries to figure out ways to incentivise Donny to move his bronco out of the garage.



The guys chat about their favorite documentaries, including The Kid Stays in the Picture, Overnight, and The King of Kong. Adam tells a story about rushing to see the latter documentary before meeting with the director, and being blown away by how unprepared everyone else was in the meeting. Adam jokes about preparedness in show biz, and mentions Jon Stewart's recent appearance on Bill O'Reilly's show.



Speaking more about Freakonomics, the film is broken down into different chapters, each directed by an all-star documentarian. Morgan is reminded of another chapter in the book, which deals with your child's success in life based on how you name them. They talk about the experiments with various resumes, and also offer case studies about people with unusual names.



Adam takes a couple listener calls, the first of which asks Morgan about his involvement with The Simpsons. Morgan talks about getting a call and thinking it was a prank, but clearly he was excited to be part of the 20th Anniversary special. Another caller inquires about a Super Size Me sequel, and Morgan considers how much weight he'd have to gain for it to be worth it. They get to talking about Robert DeNiro's weight gain for Raging Bull, and eventually talk about their favorite scenes from Goodfellas, as well as discuss the new HBO series, Boardwalk Empire.



Adam asks Morgan about his LA schedule, and Morgan says it's been almost all promotions for Freakonomics. He explains that the movie is available online, and also on demand; in conjunction with a limited theatrical release. They talk about some of the films they've seen recently on the big screen, and also analyze the communal experience of film, theater and sports, as opposed to seeing it alone.



Towards the end of the interview, Adam talks about interviewing Mike Tyson while he was promoting his documentary last year. He jokes about the difficulties of wrangling him and the filmmaker, and also wonders if Tyson is a sympathetic figure or not. Morgan cracks a joke about Tyson owning a tiger, and before long Adam and Morgan imagine being mauled by animals and becoming part of the food chain.

Adam welcomes back an old friend to the show, Tracy Metro. She and Adam once worked together in the radio days, during a campaign to replace Rachel Perry, who Adam and Bald Bryan were working with before. Tracy talks briefly about her relationship with Teresa, and then jumps into the news. Adam gets a chance to complain about celebrity sex tapes, and Adam and Tracy do a much larger analysis of Dancing with the Stars, as well as Michael Bolton's career.



Also in the news are several women in politics. The group discuss the various scandals surrounding candidates like Christine O'Donell and Meg Whitman. Along the way, Adam rants about everyone calling everyone else dumb, and talks about the way to treat a housekeeper. In the end, Adam wants someone to take charge of California and 'run things like a business' to get us out of our debt.



Comedian Bill Burr comes in studio and starts talking about his upcoming shows. Adam then brings up the death of Greg Giraldo, and Bill admits he's still in shock. He and Adam talk about his career and struggle with addiction, but everyone makes it a point to say they have nothing but respect for the guy.



Onto lighter subjects, Adam goes on a jag about 60's TV show cliches of people drinking, and also talks about his own drinking habits. The guys discuss wine knowledge, hangovers and drunk girls, and Bald Bryan talks about sending a bottle of wine back at a restaurant which the other guys have never done.



Everyone plays a round of Blah Blah Blog, where the group tries to match the celebrity to the retarded online rant. Along the way, they end up discussing 'Manimony,' The Goonies, and their own personal thoughts while performing stand up comedy.



Wrapping up the news, Tracy brings up the recent competition to fly gas balloon across the world. Unfortunately, at least one team has gone missing, not to anyone's surprise. Tracy tells a story about meeting a couple of swingers at a party, and Bill suggests a couple additional records the gas ballooners may have broken along the way.

Adam welcomes Alanna Ubach back to the show, and they immediately begin talking about her heritage. Adam asks her to rate Mexicans and Puerto Ricans, and he also talks about pissing off his Guatemalan nanny for saying she's Mexican. Alanna talks about her father's work doing lithography for gay porn and Q-VO magazine, and Adam talks about his own experience getting a gay magazine as a gag gift.



Adam takes time to tell a couple stories from the San Genero festival and its many proud Italian-Americans. Later in the show, they watch a particularly raunchy clip from the film Showgirls, and laugh about Robert Davi's appearance in both the film and the festival.



In the news, Last Comic Standing judge Greg Giraldo was found in critical condition after experiencing an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. Adam talks a bit about the difficulties of life on the road, and the types of brains that benefit from doing drugs. Also in the news, Quentin Tarantino's editor Sally Menke was recently found dead on a hiking trail in Los Angeles. Adam and Alanna discuss the tragedy, and talk about the hottest day on record here in Los Angeles.



Larry Miller is back in studio, and says he's in a bad mood. Earlier they watched the clip from Showgirls, and Larry says that he was up for the same part as Robert Davi. Adam complains about how casting directors are always the opposite gender of the part they are reading for, and wonders why it has to be that way. Before Larry heads out, they play a few rounds of the Hypothetical Road Trip Game.



Director Andy Fickman is back on the show, and talks about his newest film, 'You Again'. Adam reminds Andy that the last time he was in studio, they were talking about another of his films, 'Race to Witch Mountain', starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Andy talks about working under the Disney banner, and also his earlier experiences working in advertising and theater trying to work his way up. They also spend time talking about some of Andy's favorite actors to work with, including The Rock, and also Anna Farris.



Alanna finishes up the news talking about Jeffrey Jones' recent guilty plea for not updating his sex offender registration. The punishment involves (among other things) 250 hours of community service, and this leads Adam into complaints about the filthy roads here in LA. Also in the news is a controversy surrounding the winner of Australia's Next Top Model, and wrapping up the show, Alanna jokes about her Swedish husband's drinking and smoking habits, comparing them to Americans.

Adam sits down one-on-one to talk with Ken Burns about his latest documentary, 'Baseball: The Tenth Inning.' It's a continuation of his previous Baseball documentary, and covers everything from 1992 to yesterday. Adam compliments Ken on several of his previous documentaries, and Ken talks about editing everything up until the last second. They also talk a bit about Mark Twain, and other documentaries they've enjoyed over the years.



Ken discusses growing up loving baseball, but realizing he knew very little about the sport. He says that he likes to look at each new project as an immersion into something new. He talks about his upcoming projects, including specials on the dustbowl era, prohibition, and the Vietnam war. Adam finds out more about the documentary process, and the guys talk about some of their favorite baseball moments. Ken says it's crucial to tell a story when you make a documentary, and especially with baseball it has to be more than just statistics or who won.



After some discussion about the debilitating effects of steroids, Adam talks about his own career playing baseball in high school. This leads him into a story about filling in for Tommy Lasorda to be the Grand Marshall of Mardi Gras, and also an in depth comparison of baseball to softball.



Adam finds out more about a 'normal day' for Ken Burns, which seems to revolve around either being on the road promoting, or locked in an edit bay 'trying to make something better out of the footage.' Ken discusses how unique it is to have a series on PBS where you can have over two hours of uninterrupted content, and talks about how they raise money and research their topics. They also talk about some of the more complex themes that Ken has had to discuss over the years, and the 'vow of poverty' he took to become a documentarian.



One of Ken's upcoming projects is about prohibition, but Ken says it's really about right wing single issue campaigns that grow out of control. They talk about smear campaigns, and all the unintended consequences of prohibition; including organized crime, female alcoholism, and all sort of other social transformations. Ken also offers a reason for the world's obsession with alcohol, and relates everything to escapism. Lastly, the guys discuss the sensitive subject of race issues here in America, and Adam is very impressed with Ken's opinions and wealth of knowledge.



Definitely check out the new Ken Burns documentary, 'Baseball: The Tenth Inning'. It premiers on PBS, September 28th and 29th.

Live from Happy Endings on Sunset Blvd., Greg Fitzsimmons sits in for Adam on this week's Sunday Football Wrap-up. Greg professes right from the get-go he's not a huge football fan, but Jimmy Kimmel's friend Brad Mulcahey is sitting on the couch and much more into sports. They go through a brief recap of the day's games, and Brad also talks about his history with gambling and relationship with Jimmy and Cousin Sal.



Brad mentions a few more highlights from the day, and Greg says he needs the athlete's story to be bigger than the game for him to get into it. Greg then leads the conversation to Brad's experience in Navy boot camp, and also spends some time discussing how they got involved in the Carolla crew. Brad also spends time talking about going to high school with magician David Blaine.



Musician Pete Yorn comes onto the show and talks with Greg about his new, eponymous album. Greg asks him about the inspirations behind the latest release, and also jokes that he once made love to Pete's music. After a longer discussion about Pete's relationship with his dad and his own personality, they listen to Pete's latest single: Precious Stone.



Greg delves deeper into Pete's story, talking about his relationship with his fiance, and also more on his relationship with his father and brother. Pete takes it back to sports talk, bringing up his life-long fandom of the Raiders, and Greg goes on a jag about Judaism and religious context in films.



Pete describes his music as 'pure rock n roll,' and loves the new album's stripped down sound. He talks about the instrumentation, and Greg also asks him about his set lists when playing live concerts. Comedian extraordinaire Ralphie May is in studio, and talks with Adam about touring stand-up all over the country, up to four shows in a single night. They talk about the logistics of how comedy clubs make money, and also the difficulties of spreading your name around if you don't do film and TV. Ralphie talks about his Comedy Central special, and also jumps back to the huge car accident that once left him in a drug-induced coma for nine days.



Adam wants to hear more about Ralphie's journey, and finds out that Ralphie had done stand-up even as a kid. Ralphie talks about the comedians that inspired him, and Adam brings up the importance of repetition. As a kid, there weren't a lot of other ways to stay entertained, so everyone would tape and re-watch their favorite bits. They say kids today won't ever have to do that. Adam also talks about doing the long snap for his high school football team, and the difficulties of giving advice to Jimmy's son who does the same thing.



Ralphie talks a bit more about how his brother kicked the shit out of him, and once again put him in the hospital. Adam finds out more details from Ralphie's recovery, and learns about how he attended college and high school at the same time, all while performing stand-up. Ralphie tells an amazing story about winning an open mic night at Shakey's Pizza, and getting a chance to open for his idol, Sam Kinison.



Adam and Ralphie talk about being radio geeks, and Ralphie says he loves Howard Stern. Finally, Adam asks Ralphie about his health now that he has kids, but Ralphie says he's grateful to not have signs of high blood pressure or diabetes despite his weight. They wrap up the show talking about exercise, Pilates, his gastric bypass surgery, and Ralphie's relationship with his wife.

Adam has just returned from a day on the set of Dancing with the Stars, and his legs are sore from the unicycle. Bald Bryan points out how the show changed the rules after he was voted off, and talks to Adam about performing his dance for the second time and then getting booted. Teresa also finds out more info about the contestants that Adam met, though Adam says mostly he didn't care to see anyone and just had lunch with the crew.



Adam's buddy Ray comes by to talk to Adam about another show on the ACE Broadcasting Network. Ray recently had a therapy session with Adam's dad, and that podcast is now available for download. Adam says it's a good peak behind the curtain if you were ever curious about what therapy is like. Adam also talks about doing his recent live show, and the experience of having his Dad in the audience.



The top news story involves a handicapped girl who was bullied on a school bus. Her dad went on the bus to defend his daughter, and in the process threatened both the bus driver and some of the other students. Teresa says that that Dad is her hero, and Adam talks about how Ray used to protect kids and beat up the bullies at his school. Everyone agrees that the parents need to be more responsible for their children.



From CBS's The Big Bang Theory, Simon Helberg comes in and talks to Adam and Teresa about his own experiences dealing with bullies. They also talk about his love of the film The Karate Kid, and how he went from being a martial arts actor to a musician to just a regular actor. Adam also discusses with Simon about being on a #1 sitcom, and talks about Jim Parson's Emmy, moving the show to Thursday nights, and expanding the show into a larger ensemble.



Adam also reads the letter that he wrote to Alec Baldwin after Alec wrote a very nice blurb for his book. Clearly Alec took his time, but when Adam wrote him back to say thanks, Alec misconstrued it for sarcasm. Adam then wrote a second email, but fears that now he was too curt. As he contemplates actually calling Alec to clear things up, Adam takes a number of listener calls for a round of Rich Man, Poor Man.



Wrapping up the news, Teresa talks about Lindsay Lohan going back to jail, and a couple other celebrity rehab failures. They also talk about a wedding themed reality show where contestants compete to win plastic surgery before their weddings, and another reality show about a family of midgets who make chocolate. Adam asks 'what have we become?' and imagines what it would have been like to see Reality TV shows in the '60s or '70s.

Steven Adler comes in the studio, and talks about his stint on Celebrity Rehab. He says that Dr. Drew basically saved his life, and was even there for him when he relapsed. Joining Adam and Cousin Sal this week is Mighty Mighty Bosstones frontman Dickie Barrett. Right off the bat, the mood is sour because all their teams lost their games for the day. Adam welcomes Toad the Wet Sprocket's Glen Phillips to the show, and immediately compliments him on his musical talents. Adam says it takes more energy to like certain bands, but ultimately the songs are better and the arrangements are more interesting. Glen also talks about raising his family in Santa Barbara, then plays the first song of the hour.



Adam asks Glen about the origins of the band name, and they talk about other notable bands from Santa Barbara. They start chatting about the band Dishwalla, which Adam said helped inspire a project he and Jimmy were working on called 'Kill Gallagher.' Adam and Glen talk about the famous comedian, and Adam complains that when they tried to pitch it, the comedy execs said they had no idea who he was. Adam wanted to tell them to fuck off, but Jimmy wouldn't let him.



They talk a bit more about the current status of the band, and more specifically how the band is now re-recording a bunch of the old singles so they can be licensed. They go into more depth about the financial realities of producing music, and both agree that the artists themselves used to be the last in line, but now the smart ones are cutting out the middle man and setting up their own shop.



Glen asks Adam about his recent appearance on the Savage Love Podcast. Host Dan Savage was asking Adam about threesomes, and Glen says that Adam avoided the question. Adam just wanted to restate the point that if a woman is asking for a threesome, she is essentially saying the relationship is on its way out. There are obviously exceptions to every rule, but often times we need to rely on generalizations when we don't understand something fully.



Glen plays a more recent song, which was inspired by a story he heard from fellow musician Ben Folds. Adam compliments them both on their smart lyrics, and ability to tell great stories about little slices of life. Keeping with the musician talk, Adam recalls his experience with the band Korn, and Glen talks about John Mayer staying with him before his career really took off. Adam tries to decide if Mayer is really a douche or not, but Glen says he was fine during the time he knew him. Wrapping things up, Glen plays one final song, per Adam's request.

During her last visit, Adam complained about the difficulties of having to pee while on stage, so Taylor has come prepared with a gift: a travel john. Taylor jumps into the news, opening with the 33 miners still trapped in Chile. Taylor reports that they are now for the first time getting power and cigarettes, even though they anticipate to be stuck down there through December. Adam also suggests the miners have smelled like ass from day one, and says they'll probably want to return to the cave once they're out. Other news stories revolve around a mother in England banned from going online, Reggie Bush forfeiting his Heisman trophy, and Chelsea Handler's upcoming sex tape.



Adam then takes a series of listener phone calls about a variety of topics. He talks about his upcoming show in Houston, and also the experience of selling out shows in Sacramento, Seattle and Portland. Another caller asks Adam about his thoughts on the generation that followed his, and a final caller asks Adam about Howard Stern and the Sirius situation.



Actress and Author Kristen Schaal comes in studio, and talks to Adam about how they've never met before even though they should have. She also talks about the book she co-authored, 'The Sexy Book of Sexy Sex.' Adam asks her about her freelance experience on The Daily Show, and she talks about her Emmy-winning boyfriend and the table they want to make from his awards. Adam also complains about having to read his audio book, and tries to convince Kristen to read a chapter for him.



In the last part of the news, George Michael was recently sentenced to 8 weeks in jail. Adam is back from being on the road with Mike August and Donny. They traveled to Sacremento, Seattle, and Portland, and Adam says everything's better than here in Los Angeles. He praises the other cities for their light rail systems, and quickly turns his eye back to complaining about dirty airports and their terrible security policies. He also complains about the trendy hotel they stayed in while in Portland, and Donny speaks up to second how terrible the service was.



Larry Miller is brought in just as the news begins. He has a quick story about Adam's wife, and Adam talks about hot chicks and body movements. Teresa then discusses the recent VMAs, and both she and Adam criticize Chelsea Handler for a lackluster performance. They watch the sketch she filmed with Lindsay Lohan, and agree that she didn't do a great job either. Larry is largely out of touch with the people involved in the show, but he does get a laugh out of seeing Chelsea's ass slapped so many times. Teresa also mentions Oprah's first episode of her last year, and Adam prepares for non-stop Oprah watch.



David Alan Grier comes in studio, and teases Teresa about not being able to do the show as long as she's in the room. He and Adam talk about DAGs performance in Race, and DAG gives Teresa crap for not seeing it. Adam also recalls hanging out in at a secret bar with DAG after the show, and DAG talks about his dating life. Everyone gets to talking about book blurbs, and Adam conveys a story about his miscommunication with Alec Baldwin. Teresa also talks about getting a blurb from Dr. Drew, but DAG says there is still tension between them.



Larry Miller compliments DAG on one of the 'great comedy snores.' Larry reminisces about the first time he cracked him up in person, and DAG also comments on the Chelsea's performance at the VMAs. DAG defends that she was great, and says that 'nothing breeds contempt like success.' Adam then tells the controversial story of when he went to see Race, and DAG talks about acting on Law and Order. Later, both Adam and DAG talk about their families, and the pleasures of raising a daughter.



In the final segment of the show, Larry Miller plays a round of hypothetical road trips, sponsored by Jeremiah Weed. DAG at first offers to cover his face so as not to distract Larry, but ultimately comes in to try a round for himself.

Every Monday, enjoy shows recorded live at The Happy Ending Bar on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. This week, Cousin Sal, Dave Dameshek, and Kevin Hench are seated with Adam, getting their drink on and enjoying the day's games. Adam says he's going to be drunk at three different times today, and talks about abandoning The Rams for good this season.



After a brief discussion of Christmas lights, Adam talks about the first time he met Cousin Sal. Sal is a 'degenerate gambler' and talks about some of the bets he's placed this season. The guy also discuss Sal's love of the Dallas Cowboys even though he's from New York, and Sal says his dad once brought home a Cowboys jacket from a business trip. Adam then goes on a side story about cleaning carpets.



Dameshek goes into more depth about the origins of the football gatherings. He talks about meeting with Sal and Hench, and soon after Jimmy Kimmel would watch. At last Adam would come by, but Dameshek and Hench insist that Adam didn't say a word to them for the entire season.



Since Hench has been drinking since 10am, they get on the topic of DUIs and the pleasures of getting shitfaced. Adam suggests that sobriety tests should be performed in your vehicle and not on foot. The guys pause the show to watch the Rams attempt and blow a hail mary, which doesn't surprise Adam in the least. Then they tease Hench a bit more for being dropped off by his mom, and wonder how he's going to get home.



Throughout the show, Adam attempts to tell a story about cleaning carpets at the Russian Tea Room at the Beverly Center, but almost always gets side tracked. At this point in the show, he talks about several stories with his buddies Ray and Chris and how they used to literally wipe their shit on him when they got the chance. Cousin Sal has a weird shit story as well, and talks about taking a dump in a Frito's bag.



Adam gives advice on hitting on strippers, and Dameshek complains about the most overused porn stories. Adam tells more stories about working with Ray and Chris; more specifically, the times that Chris tried to steal food at work and Ray tried to pee everywhere. Wrapping the episode up, Hench talks about being high on coke at graduation, and everyone agrees you don't really need to get a diploma to be successful.

Next, Gaywalking is brought back to the podcast. We ask straight questions to gay guys, and everyone in the studio votes on whether or not they will know the correct answer. Illeana Douglas comes in studio, and jokes about playing spin the bottle in Adam's basement. She and Adam discuss how their last names have screwed up their ethnic reputations, and Illeana also mentions a publicity stunt involving Feng shui. Adam transitions the conversation to Illeana's work in Scorcece's 'Cape Fear', and they talk about a bunch of the director's other movies, along with other Illeana's experiences working on set. Illeana also mentions that she'll be on Entourage this Sunday, and had a great time filming.



Adam asks Illeana about her new webseries, 'Easy to Assemble.' Adam auditions for a guest appearance, and he and Illeana figure out what his role would be. They also talk about the ensemble cast of the series, and Illeana mentions how she auditioned for the role of Adam's wife on his sitcom. Back into the news, Joel McHale is going to be in Spy Kids 4. Teresa closes with a happy story out of Florida where a woman got fired from her job, then married to the same man one year later. Adam quickly asks him a series of important political questions, and Rep Martin shares his views. Topics involve the oil crisis, Dr. Laura, and the Ground Zero Mosque. Rep Martin also discusses 'the gay problem,' and shares with Adam a number of important quotes his father once said.



Katie asks Rep Martin a question that gets everyone talking about abortion and Christianity, but soon things move back to the news. Jordan Van der Sloot is sorry for telling so many stories about Natalee Holloway, but Adam says 'you're either involved in a murder, or you aren't.' They wrap up the show discussing a couple teenagers who accidentally messaged a local sheriff asking for weed, and a few people in their 90s and upward that continue to work on a regular basis. Adam goes on a jag about donating blood, and teases Dawson about the recent sound problems.

Adam and Donal get right into discussing the new FX series, 'Terriers'. They both agree that FX has good billboards, but Adam says he didn't know what the show was about. They also talk about Donal's work in Ghost Rider, and Adam complains about a movie mistake that no one on the set managed to figure out. Adam and Donal start talking about the troubles with 'lying to people in our society.' More specifically, as they apply to call times when you're an actor on set. Adam and Donal agree that they're being treated like children, when the reality is they are always prompt and always waiting anyway. Adam goes into a story about an advertising campaign for Lance Snack Crackers, where he had to be the 'Man on the Street,' asking people to sample the food. Adam wanted to shoot all the footage in a day, but was instead dragged all over the country.



Wrapping up the show, Adam talks with Donal about his character 'Jimmy the Cab Driver.' Rainn Wilson evidently did a similar bit, and Donal plainly states 'you can't rip people's stuff off.' Adam is reminded of another weird taxi cab bit, performed by comedy duo Burns and Schreiber. Donal and Adam complain about how unfunny 'Who's On First' is, and also get a chance to watch the aforementioned Burns and Schreiber sketch.

Isaac Hayes chimes in with some thoughts on the most recent Comedy Central Roast, and Adam talks about his interview with Isaac just before he died. Jeff talks a bit more about the roast and writing his own material, and even tells a few racially charged jokes that never made it to air. Adam makes fun of David Hasselhoff's hair, and asks the ladies in the audience why men have to shave everything now.



In the news, Larry King may be leaving CNN, but he's working with Ryan Seacrest to relaunch his radio career. Adam says that Seacrest doesn't play an instrument so he shouldn't get as much play as he does. Speaking of ladies men, Jeff talks about going to a John Mayer concert, and having John say he was going back to Jeff's place to get high after the show. They talk a bit about medical marijuana, and Adam tells the story of getting high at the Sex and the City 2 premiere and getting stopped by the TMZ paparazzi.



Also in the new, nearly 90,000 prison inmates were reportedly sexually abused last year-often by the guards themselves. Adam offers commentary on the commitment of 'cornholing' and was surprised to hear that many of the guards were females. The gang also talks about Jewish kids being sent to summer camp, and Attorneys General trying to discontinue the Craig's List adult services section.



After an animated segment of Adam and Bryan Cranston pitching a film called 'Gay-Eye,' everyone plays a round of Totally Topical Tivo Trivia. Once a winner is named, Donny helps bring up a bunch of old photos of Early Adam (sorry kiddies, you'll have to see him live if you want to see the pics!) Adam goes into more detail about the 'never ending love affair' between his parents, and rants at his family for always looking bored when taking pictures. Wrapping up the show, Adam talks about his Catholic Little Brother Nate, and his fat pasty Russian friend named Tim.

Adam welcomes Natasha Leggero back to the show, this time filling in with the news. He goes right into a rant about the Chantix commercials, and other medical products that have insanely long disclaimers at the end of the advertisements. Adam eventually goes on a long rant about how we're all being slowly depressed by overexposure of advertisements, and that 'lawyers are shaping our society'. He also spends more time complaining about airport security lines.



The top news story is Paris Hilton's Vegas arrest. Recently there is some mystery surrounding her use of Twitter while in prison, and Adam wonders if we're even judging her actions at this point. He and Natasha go on a jag about people becoming famous for sex tapes, and society's apparent lack of shame. Adam also talks about watching the Emmys, drawing comparisons between Charo and Modern Family's Sofia Vergara.



Also in the news is more on the Ground Zero Mosque. A politician is trying to get a tradition started to burn the Koran on 9/11, but Adam can't believe that we're still talking about this religion stuff in 2010. He goes on another huge rant, this time about people who won't shut up about their religious views, and how they're destroying society. Natasha tries to defend some of the brighter sides of religion, but Adam insists on comparing it to AA meetings and football rivalries.



Superfan Giovanni comes in studio with a big announcement regarding Adam's movie commentary tracks. He also talks about seeing all of Adam's recent live shows, and walking around the city with Adam talking about The Fast and The Furious series. Adam complains about movie prequels, and spends time praising Jane Lynch for all of her successes since being in The Hammer.



Giovanni also corrects Adam on a long-running misunderstanding about the North Hollywood shootout. In short, a bank robbery lead to police officers allowing one of the gunmen to bleed out, and later the mother tried to sue the police for letting her son die without sending an ambulance. Giovanni has done research, and confirms the mother was unsuccessful in her attempts to sue.



During the last part of the podcast, Adam riffs with Giovanni and Bald Bryan on a number of old stories from the Loveline days at Westwood One studios; the interviews, the disagreeable interns, and the complete lack of respect and professionalism he felt while working there. He talks to Natasha about the realities of working in the radio industry, and offers stories of Dr. Drew undermining him at every turn. He wraps it up by saying the only note he ever got from producers was 'more calls and shut up.'

Adam has just returned from doing a bit for the Tonight Show, but quickly goes on a rant about 'foreskin reconstruction assholes.' He welcomes today's News girl, also the new co-host of The Parent Experiment, Susanna Brisk. They talk about Adam's relationship with her husband, and also discuss Susanna's views on her husband's high profile clients.



In the news, a woman was found dead in a chimney in Bakersfield. Adam and Susanna joke about how she should have done it around Christmastime. Susanne jokes about stalking people in Australia, and Adam asks her about being an Australian Jew. He complains about Jews ruining his bagel experience, and speaks a bit more about Susanna's husband and male emotions.



Also in the news, football player Troy Polamalu has had his hair insured for over a million dollars. Adam goes on a huge rant about 'guys with stupid spirituality' and says he's 'sick of people expressing themselves.' In relation to the news, he thinks Troy should cut his hair above the uniform name, or get out of the league. The last news story deals with a guy who survived a suicide by crashing through the rear windshield of a car.



Harland Williams comes in and teases Adam about wearing make-up and being dressed all spiffy. They then go into a very random conversation about things lighting on fire and black people. Adam talks more about his Tonight Show bit, and how he realized he needed his glasses to read the cue cards. He and Harland also talk about having problems with spelling.



Next up, a round of the Same Name Game. Adam takes your calls to figure out celebrities with similar sounding names who look nothing alike. Harland has difficulties understanding the game throughout.



In the rest of the news, the UK Mirror reports that cocaine makes global warming worse, as it relates to deforestation. Adam says we can't help it that people like cocaine, and admits that he himself thinks it's awesome. Harland then tells a great story about being at Machu Piccu and getting high off coca leaves before exploring the ruins. Adam goes into a bit more depth about his experiences with coke growing up, and the reasons why he doesn't do it anymore. The final story involves the Obama kid's daily lives, and Adam stages a debate at the dinner table to show everyone how unresponsive his stepfather is.

Bald Bryan helps open the show by saying he feels let down for his recent performance at the Live Show. Adam compliments him on his soundboard work, and talks about his love of drops in general. He also compliments Teresa on her sense of humor, and points out how much he and Lynette agrees she contributes to the show. Adam welcomes Shim Moore to the show, lead singer of the Australian rock band Sick Puppies. Shim talks about the band's new record, 'Tri-Polar' and also discusses moving out to LA five years ago. Adam opens the show with What Can't Adam Complain About. He takes suggestions from the 200 drunk people yelling at him, and also makes fun of a video clip from his favorite porn, Taboo II. He and Donny also complain about the swamp cooler Adam used to own, and Adam vents about his cheap father.



Comedian Dov Davidoff joins the stage and talks to Adam about his relationship with his wife. He and Dov talk about women's love of drama, whereas guys need to keep a level head if they want the relationship to last forever. Dov also talks about his girlfriend who he met and had a threesome with, and also shows Teresa the life affirming stuff he has written on his arms. Adam and Dov both complain about their 'crazy hippie intellectual' moms, and Tersesa points out there's 'something macho yet vulnerable' in Dov.



Adam performs This Week In Rage, counting down the things that pissed him off the most in the last seven days. He also gets in jabs about mini croissants, and people who try to defend spiders.



In the last part of the news, Teresa talks about Madonna's parenting skills. It's been some time since Adam took listener calls, so he's very excited to jump right into it. The first caller just wants to see him perform live, and Adam tells her details about his two upcoming shows tomorrow at the Melrose Improv. Another caller asks him about 'Mangria,' and afterwards, Adam gets into a conversation with Bald Bryan about Undercover Boss and going to college at USC.



Next, Adam takes a 'controversial call' from a criminal defense attorney, who explains the standard excuses that various ethnicities use when involved in a domestic violence situation. Adam goes on a rant about America always kicking its own ass for being racist, but really we are more selective than that. He talks more about the education system, and says that we are doing a disservice by pretending it's everyone's problem, when it's really focused on specific minorities.



Adam also takes a call from an Australian listener, and contemplates going Down Under sometime. They talk about everything from racing cars to comedy music to the tax system. Adam also asks some questions about whether or not listeners abroad feel a disconnect when he rants about local issues, but he's happy to hear that most listeners are just glad to have something to laugh about.



The next caller asks Adam about the decline of boxing popularity, and how he thinks it can be brought back into the main fold. Adam suggests some fights he'd like to see, and also some great fights he recalls seeing in the past. Adam also takes a call about personalized license plates, and teases Bryan about family members all named after the same letter.



A female caller would like to know how old is too old to start having a family, and another female caller puts her daughter on the line to do a killer Carolla impression. For the final call of the day, someone asks Adam why he doesn't try putting his name on a vineyard or wine bottle. Both Adam and Bald Bryan think it's a spectacular idea.

Everyone listens to an audio of the dumbest speech ever recorded at a beauty pageant, and also discuss the fallout of the Tiger Woods and Elin divorce. Adam talks about some of the ways money can make you happen, and questions with Patrick about what it would be like to date Tiger.

Teresa then talks about the new Hollywood trend of 'unbranding' celebrities, and discusses the careers of various Jersey Shore stars. 'The Situation' is doing remarkably well, and Teresa and Adam are both shocked by his upcoming book deal. To wrap the show up, Adam and Teresa talk about the importance of having the right people blog their own books, and Adam suggests a power trio he wants to arrange.

Author Scott Sigler enters the studio, and talks about his website where currently he records his own audiobooks from the novels he writes, and paces them much like the old time serial radio shows. Adam talks to him more about researching his science fiction novels, and says that he wishes films and stories opened with larger explanations that would allow him to enjoy the story more. They start talking about stem-cell research and animal viruses, and Adam goes on a rant about people complaining about 'Big Pharmaceuticals.'



In the second part of the news, Taylor brings up the nation wide protests happening next week because men can be topless and women cannot. The next story talks about the giant egg recall, which Adam says doesn't really concern his life that much (eggsafety.org). In the news, Steven Tyler has been strongly suggested as the newest judge on American Idol. Adam and Mike agree that the show has lost its momentum, and reflect on the best Aerosmith songs. Later, Adam talks about a car auction where he didn't bid on a car wanted, but heard was 'not what you think it is.' Afterwards he met the guy who bought the car, but he didn't want to ruin his day. The last news story revolves around the highest paid hip-hop artists, and Adam goes on a long rant about rich people paying their 'fair share' of taxes.



The Mighty Mighty Bosstones frontman and long time friend Dicky Barrett sits on the couch, and talks about Mike August booking him for the show. They also talk about Adam's big 'Garage Mahal' makeover, and the experience of renovating the warehouse out back. Adam compliments Dicky on his past work as a bartender, and Dicky talks about tending bars from the Fatted Calf in Boston, to Adam's private parties. He and Adam decide to trade their favorite stories, and Dicky unravels a truly epic story about traveling through Mexico, and eating PB&J sandwiches.



In exchange, Adam tells the story of a road trip with his old friend Daniel Kellison, an obsessive Boston Red Sox fan. Adam complains about the boring car rides, and hanging out with rich people he didn't like anyway. Everyone then goes on a side jag about watching sports, hanging with Bill Simmons and Cousin Sal, and later they throw in some music related talk about the history of ska and the better Reggae songs.



After a quick round of Germany or Florida, Dawson tells a story of trying to get tickets to a Bosstones' show and getting recognized by Dicky at the end of the set. Adam opens up talking about being a trucker, and the various songs and movies based on that lifestyle. He wonders why people get excited about Tom Selleck Made-For-TV movies, when there are 'real movies' one or two channels over. He recalls a recent experience with Donny and Sandy Ganz, watching Walker Texas Ranger on TV. Haley Joel Osment and Mackenzie Phillips were both guest stars, and Adam can't believe the episodes made it to air. There's also some talk about racist backing music on the show, and Bald Bryan gushes about The Expendables.



Adam has a manuscript of his book with him, and he and Teresa start talking about the dedication pages. Adam doesn't understand why you have to thank people who are just doing their normal job, and wants to limit the amount of people he references. He talks about how some TV shows have tons of producers, and how this inflated number diminishes from the people who actually contribute to the show. Teresa, on the other hand, thanked tons of people in her book, however she recently removed her Dad from the list. She talks about the recent loan she co-signed with him, and the foreclosure that is now plaguing her credit. Adam rants about the non-responsibility of some people, and suggests their dads should have a 'financial tard off'.



In the news, Dr. Laura is involved in a racial slur scandal after saying the N-word a reported 11 times during a listener call. They listen to the clip, as well as her follow up clip on Larry King suggesting that she is not renewing her radio contract when it's up at the end of the year so she can preserve her first amendment rights to say what she wants. Adam talks about the 'witch hunt for racists' in our country, but also doesn't understand why people listen to her show anyway. In other news, Tersesa brings up Blagojevich being found guilty of one felony offense.



Joel Stein enters the studio, immediately remarking on the condition of Adam's garage, which Adam explains is being renovated for a TV show. Joel is actually writing a book about how to be a man, so he can pass the knowledge onto his son. Since undergoing this project, he has done everything from UFC fighting, to firefighting, to hunting, and more. Joel talks about being trained to kickbox by Randy Couture, and also recalls with Adam a controversial boxing match he once attended. He also asks Adam to teach him about cars, and Adam spends a long time explaining how cars work, and what makes them so appealing.



Jumping back into the news, a South Carolina woman killed both of her kids, then faked a car crash to blame it on. Joel is fascinated by Teresa's selection of the story, and wonders if she feels better reading about bad parenting since she is currently raising a son. Teresa also talks about new developments in understanding Lou Gehrig disease, and Adam goes into a long rant about playing football and having your bell rung. He talks more about the 'sports mentality,' and how some people are 'used to dudes telling you how to do shit.' He wraps up the show talking about how his own son is a puss, and feels the need to teach him how to be a man.

Adam and Teresa jump right into the news. The Flint stabbing suspect is still on the loose, and Adam offers a better motive for the killer. Back to the news, they talk about a guy caught marinating a live cat. They also talk about American Idol judges, Bill O'Reilly, and Jennifer Anniston, which eventually leads to a conversation about having to do shitty movies to stay relevant. The final news story involves Bachelorette star Ali and her threats of having controversial photos released. Adam opens by talking about his recent run of stand-up shows in Arizona. He was recently talking to Sarah Silverman about how easy it is to do 90-minutes of stand-up when he has a project behind him, but of course, the lightbulb blew out towards the end of one of his shows. The new bulb wasn't working, so Adam was forced to do the show totally by himself. Donny chimes in to confirm that everything went great. Adam also takes a call from Kevin Nealon to discuss his fundraiser for his friend Big Joe, and Adam rants about members of his family always bumming him out.



The top news story deals with a Jet Blue flight attendant who got very upset after a dispute about the overhead bins. He told everyone off, grabbed some beers, and leaped out of the emergency exit onto the inflatable raft. Adam says he's now ready for all the bullshit lawsuits that will no doubt follow from people who were on the plane, and exposes his theory that gay men may be too high strung to be airline attendants. Another news story deals with Fantasia Barrino's suicide attempt, and the last deals with parents who lost custody of their children after several domestic incidents, including naming their kid after Adolf Hitler.



Today's guest is Adam Curry, host of the podcast "No Agenda". Adam immediately talks about his European style, and talks to him about being tall and hugging Shaquille O'Neal. Curry also has a series of 2-minute 'Appisodes' which give video demos of popular apps that you may want to download. He talks about working on his own podcast, and how he once famously offered Howard Stern $100 million to move his show away from satellite and onto the internet. They talk about the future of the medium, and Curry offers his theories on Mel Gibson's recent behavior.



Talking more about running a podcast, Curry suggests to Adam that he should ask listeners to donate money to the show. Comedian Lisa Ann Walter enters the studio and recalls auditioning to play Adam's wife in his TV pilot. We soon find out that both of them used to work at McDonalds, though Adam was never allowed to work past the grill. Lisa teases that the counter was a whole new level of elegance, and says that she holds a record for having served 90 people in one minute.



Lisa is also the executive producer for Dance Your Ass Off, and she would often be around when Adam was on Dancing with the Stars. Adam talks about the nervous pressure of the first dance, and how he embarrassed himself in front of Marisa Jaret Winokur (who later became the host of DYAO). Rumor had it that Marisa was let go for not being heavy, but Lisa says it's bullshit. She herself identifies with being fat, adding, 'we all self loathe.' Now Mel B. The show gets started right off the bat important News: Adam's book is doing gangbusters on the charts. Adam sincerely thanks everyone for all their support, and gives his fans credit for understanding this 'new dawn' in the consumer-buyer relationship. In national news, Proposition 8 was overturned today, and may go as far as the Supreme Court to decide whether gays have a constitutional right to marry. Adam says, like pot, this is something 'people shouldn't give a shit about.' He and Teresa discuss how it can be seen as a violation of civil rights, though Adam also understands how some people can see this as Americans 'sliding away from the traditional society they want.'



In celebrity news, Giselle Bundchen recently had a baby, and everyone is talking about how great she still looks. She's also in the news for advocating breast-feeding, but Adam is just mostly blown away at how much money she makes for saying so little. After a brief story about a guy in New York who sells grilled cheese sandwiches disguised to look like drugs, Teresa brings up a story of Jessica and Ashley Simpson's father Joe once again trying to ruin his daughter's careers. They talk about Ashley's SNL debacle, Jessica's reputation for being 'sexual napalm,' and Adam fantasizes what that might be like.



Before the guest is brought in, the group plays a round of Totally Topical TiVo Trivia. It's first to five, and a real nailbiter. Then Dan Milano of MTV's Warren the Ape steps in, and talks about his early experiences working on the series Greg the Bunny. Dan discusses being up obsessed with Muppets as a kid, and growing up to make new characters with friends once he was given a cable access show. They talk about other famous TV puppets, include Kukla, Fran and Ollie and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Dan also talks about being at Comic-Con, and working on a script for a remake of Short Circuit.



T brings back the news with more revelations from Angelina Jolie's biography. Apparently she once hired a hitman to kill herself, and Adam re-enacts what he would do if he was given that job. They also discuss the Dugger family, which leads Adam into commentary about having way too many kids and God's will. Another news story deals with Justin Bieber's upcoming movie, and also a few other entertainment related stories involve Diablo Cody, LeAnne Rimes, and Mike Tyson.



Jeremy London was recently in the news for claiming to be kidnapped and forced to do drugs-conveniently just before having to take a drug test. His family maintained that he was struggling with a drug addiction, and now he's on Celebrity Rehab. This brings everything back full circle to Dan's show, Warren the Ape, which also features Dr. Drew. He and Adam joke about working with him, and Dan talks a bit more about the improvised realism of his show. Adam goes on a long jag about various levels of quality in gas stations, and the show ends with a brief commentary of Mel Gibson's recently released emails.

Essentially the question was whether or not you'd be willing to switch places with Chris Rock... to which Adam says absolutely, in the drop of a hat. They also listen to a breakup clip from the show, which Teresa said she did not see coming. The second part of the news is too depressing, so T asks Adam to chose between the two stories. The one he picks involves six kids drowning while trying to save their friend, and this sends Adam off on a huge rant about parents focusing on unimportant things like tap water and third-hand smoke, instead of more practical things like keeping the pool gate closed.



Queen of Mean Lisa Lampanelli enters the studio and wastes no time joking about her fiances big balls. She talks about her upcoming wedding this fall, and how the florist is overcharging her. She offers her thoughts on The Bachelorette finale, and everyone gets to talking about all kids of trash TV; including The View and Real Housewives of New Jersey. They also talk about wedding dress shopping at Big and Tall stores, and plus size models with small faces.



Adam takes a few listener calls to give relationship advice. One caller is concerned with his girlfriend's family who speaks french in front of him, and another is wondering if he should break up with his girlfriend before going off to college. Adam says to both of them not to fight fate, and just understand that you're young and will likely meet many women before you get married. He also spends some time talking about his own break from his wife before they got married, and the benefits of being single and playing the field before settling down.



Teresa reminds Adam and Lisa to talk about the recent Comedy Central roast of David Hasselhoff, which Lisa was a part of. Lisa says that she didn't know what to say about roastermaster Seth MacFarlane, but she did have plenty of material on the man of the hour. Adam also chimes in with his own stories of The Hoff, and asks Lisa about how badly she had to pee during the recording. Lisa says that it was the easiest roast she's ever had to do because she got to open instead of close. Adam and Lisa delve farther into their own experiences of previous roasts, and talk about the importance of prepping your material instead of improvising. Lisa says the jokes were so great this year, they didn't even hurt her feelings; unlike past participant Pam Anderson, who almost cried.

He says that he's usually the one driving too slowly-though he always pulls over to let people by. Adam and Larry share their recent encounters with rude drivers and being labeled as rude drivers, and Larry points out that the middle finger is a reflex response. Changing subjects, Adam wants to hold a competition for the cheapest buzz, and reminisces on an uncomfortable experience in an Atlanta Liquor store. Ed Begley Jr. comes by, and Adam asks 'how's the crusade going?' Ed talks excitedly about balancing his three careers, and the pleasure of endorsing a variety of green products. Adam asks him about the realities of owning an electric car, and also the benefits of solar roof panels. Teresa then asks Ed about a recent appearance on Fox News, which Ed says happened on a very bad day. They play the clip and applaud his arguments, but Ed also has time to clear up a few things he said. Adam also jumps in with a rant about government's involvement with codes.



The second part of the news starts with a story about recycling. A couple in Spokane collected over 400,000 cans, then used the money they made to pay for their wedding. They are still collecting cans, donating proceeds to Doctors Without Borders (follow on Twitter @WeddingCans). Teresa also brings up a new beer that is 120proof alcohol, and the latest American Idol judge drama. Wrapping up the show, the group discusses Jimmy Smits, and Ed's new show on NBC: Outlaw. Ed says, 'It's not what you'd expect, that's all I'll say.'
