In episode thirty-seven of The Running Effect (with Dominic Schlueter), I speak with Ella Donaghu. Ella is one of the most accomplished runners to ever come through Oregon. She was a ten-time state champion, placed second at NXN, and broke the state record in the 3k (running 9:24.86). She then went onto Stanford where she was a seven-time All-American, a PAC-12 champion in the 1500m, and so much more! 

In this episode, we go through Ella's incredible career so far from her high school years in Oregon to her most recent season with Stanford. Ella goes in-depth into her career and all the ups and downs she's experienced in the sport. We also discuss if Lebron James can break five minutes in the mile.

In episode thirty-seven of The Running Effect (with Dominic Schlueter), I speak with the legend Chris Derrick. Chris is easily one of the most successful American distance runners. In high school, he ran 13:55 (in the 5k) and won NXN individually and as a team. In college, Chris ran for Stanford where he was a Fourteen-Time All-American and multi-time NCAA runner up. Chris still owns the American Collegiate NCAA 10k record. He most recently ran for Nike and the Bowerman Track Club where he accomplished many things on the track, grass, and roads. 

 

In this episode, we dive deep into Chris's career from his big high school progression to running professionally for Nike and The Bowerman Track Club. We go into many of his races and get his thoughts and insights on various topics. Lastly, we go into his new blog and personal coaching.

In episode thirty-seven of The Running Effect (with Dominic Schlueter), I speak with Julia Heymach. Julia runs competitively for the University of Stanford where she is a three-time All-American. Prior to her time there, she had one of the most historic high school careers in the state of Texas highlighted by 4:40 in the 1600 to win her State Championship in 2015.

In episode thirty-six of The Running Effect (with Dominic Schlueter), I speak with Anna Rohrer. Anna was a two-time Foot Locker National Champion and Gatorade National Player of the year in high school. From there, she went on to an extremely successful career at the University of Notre Dame where she was an 8-time All-American. Now she is the Director of Coaching at "Dreamfuel" and a Coach and Mentor for her company "Next Level Racing"! 

 

In this episode, we go through her whole career from high school to professional and some of the lessons she's learned. We dive into specific subjects unique to Anna's story that will help you better understand Anna and why she is so successful. In episode thirty of The Running Effect (with Dominic Schlueter), we speak with Shelby Houlihan from the Bowerman Track Club. Shelby is the American Record Holder in the 5k (14:23), 1500m (3:54), and made the Olympic games in 2016, but her journey to get there hasn't always been smooth. She was born with a rare hereditary blood disorder called spherocytosis and had other struggles throughout her career.
