It's a huge football weekend with the SEC starting play and the Chiefs/Ravens topping it off with a Monday night matchup for the ages.  Stan breaks it down and we remember the great career of life long Royal Alex Gordon.

Kansas State Athletic Director Gene Taylor has his hands full.  Dozens of football players out BECAUSE of Covid, not WITH Covid.  Like everyone else, declining revenue and now some upset fans about the BLM logo on KSU's uniforms.  But you won't find anyone more open and honest to speak with... which makes him perfect for this conversation.  He's proud the Big 12 paved the way for CFB in 2020.

The second biggest superstar in KC is just crushing it, does anyone notice?  Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson spent the offseason with a unique practice habit to fix his downfield passing, we dive in to whether it will work long term.  Cities all across the country had chaos Wednesday night after a grand jury ruled it's ok for cops to shoot back when fired upon.  Yes, you read that right.  And one of the all time KU and NFL greats, Gale Sayers, has died.  He leaves quite a legacy.

You're about to be slammed with news that CFB is failing but don't believe it.  It's the same people that told you there would be no football this year.  None.  The NFL is rocking as CFB has a different set of issues.  And will Monday Night's big game be billed as AFC Championship Preview or Mahomes v Jackson.  Also, why Rachel Nichols is mad at the NBA, ESPN's Max Kellerman has absolutely lost his mind and why the Plaza Art Fair is ok to attend but not a pool party or a bike rally.

It was ugly from the start.  Mistake after mistake and one frustration after the other.  But the amazing Chiefs really are this good.  23-20 in OT, here's the instant commentary.

There's trouble for one NFL team attempting to honor a drive by shooter that was killed by police as the players are now learning the whole story.   This could become commonplace if everyone starts getting facts about those being honored.  Here's hoping Chiefs players, especially Patrick Mahomes, don't get talked into something they regret.

Week two is here and this episode is all football with Stan Weber.  Stan has keys to the game for Chiefs/Chargers and talks about teams that are threats in the AFC.  He's also a Cowboys fan and you gotta hear what he says about new coach Mike McCarthy.  We talk Mizzou, KU and KSU and a high school coach in quarantine finds a way to coach his team.

The Big 10 proved what some of us already knew when they decided to have football this fall... they are the true exploiters of athletes.  Brady Singer is pitch perfect again.  The US Open starts in New York as the second of three majors in golf this year.  And Ty Rowton, the X Factor, has been to every Chiefs home game since 1989 and he isn't going back any time soon.  He discusses why. 

Scott Kaplan left sports radio a couple years ago when the company that held the license to his station went under.  Not knowing what to do, he started a podcast and then a You Tube channel.  The rest is history as Scotty Kaps now hosts a show in San Diego every afternoon and a show in LA in the evening. He still podcasts and has a really great app called Sided Debates.  And he still finds time to tell us how the Chargers stack up against the Chiefs this week.  This one is fun!

The workplace is getting more and more uncomfortable for Conservatives but some brave people are stepping up to draw attention to this problem.  Luis Moreno jr. is a patriot for leaving the Carolina Panthers after they made his life miserable.  And Lebron James is called out  by the Sheriff in LA County, to publicly support the deputies that were attacked last weekend.  What will Lebron do?  Also, no shock NFL ratings are way down.  It's time to stick to football.

Johnson County Commissioner Mike Brown joins KKHI for a conversation after being called a racist by KCMO Mayor Quinton Lucas and being attacked by the KC Star for a Facebook post reminding Johnson County residents that they have a right to bear arms.  The Star says Brown should resign.  Ya, good luck with that.

Two deputies are shot in the face, maniacs chant "death to the police", riots continue all over America and the KC Star is trying to keep you from seeing it.  Instead of suggesting real solutions like supporting enforcing the law, the Star goes after Johnson County Commissioner Mike Brown for the sin of reminding citizens it's legal to own a gun if you don't feel safe.  And I'll break down the challengers to the Chiefs at the top of the NFL after the first week of play.

I am sickened by the attacks on our police all over America and honestly can't believe officers are still doing their jobs.  No support from Mayors, Governors, Dems or media.  It's total chaos.  The two deputies in LA getting shot point blank has put me over the edge.  And what did bystanders do?  They fired up their phones and made videos of themselves.  I've decided to share a small audio clip from one such video hoping it will make a difference for anyone that sides with police haters.  We must do our part for police right now!

The Royals are the hottest team in baseball and they are pounding their opponents.  Ryan Lefebvre is here to tell us what's changed.  The NFL's first Sunday is filled with some good football and bad production on television.  And I don't know if I've ever seen anything worse than the attempted execution  of two Sheriff's deputies in LA.  Could the media and Dems please step up to protect our brave law enforcement professionals?

The Chiefs roll the Texans but people across America are talking about fans booing the pregame show of unity. Commentary on why it happened that you will only get here.  Chris Collinsworth supported the players, so why is the crazy left all over him?  And our conversation is with KCMO Talk Radio host Pete Mundo, a conservative talker building quite a brand.

David Curry leads a group called www.recallkc.com promising to gather about 14,000 signatures for a recall election to oust Mayor Quentin Lucas.  Curry doesn't hold back at all about how the mayor has handled the KCMO Police Department, mask mandates and business shut downs.  If you live in Kansas City, Mo.... these folks want your signature.

Former Chiefs and KSU wide receiver Kevin Lockett may be the busiest football dad in America.  He coaches 12 year old twins, shows the way to a budding star at Blue Valley and spends Sundays rooting for Tyler Lockett of the Seahawks.  In this episode, he even finds time to compare Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson as team leaders with Super Bowl rings.  Also, the NFL is practically Covid free, the NBA's ratings continue to fall and Joe Biden thinks the Dems control the Senate.

We are planning daily shows  on  weekdays going forward.  I can't think of a better way to start than to talk football with 15 year NFL quarterback Trent Green, who just got a big promotion and to hear Joe Biden say he will take a vaccine to lose the election.  Count me in... go science!

As he drove across the bridge toward the Pentagon and saw it was on fire, four star General Richard Myers pinched his cheek.  Hard.  He thought he was dreaming but he wasn't.  He was about to become the acting chairman of the Joint Chiefs on September 11, 2001.  The man knows crisis, so you'll have to excuse the President at Kansas State  if he doesn't think 20 year old men playing college football is all that dangerous. 

Kansas State President, 4 star general and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Richard Myers has dealt with plenty of crisis.  It doesn't seem like college football is in crisis to him as he tells me in an upcoming full podcast football players are better off than the student body when it comes to Covid and the ten presidents and chancellors in Big 12 all agreed to go play after debating it.  I asked President Myers what he would say to a Big 10 Chancellor that voted "no" if they called and asked why he voted yes.

If it seem sports aren't as important to you the past 6 months, the Chiefs are about to change that.  Also, Dr. Fauci wants college students with Covid to stay on campus because he knows they won't get sick.  But media makes it sound like college campuses are overwhelmed with problems.  When will it stop? And one lady with cancer just wants to play bingo... but they won't let her in.  What a shame.

The Chiefs are a green light to start of season, Brad Keller is amazing, KC Star misses big story and I share an emotional moment with my wife Jessica about the wonderful people of MAWD Pathology and the life saving work they are doing in Kansas City.
