For a second straight Tuesday the pod unfortunately starts with yet another cold open from Matt Harmon reacting to another devastating injury on Monday Night Football. Ekeler's Edge is back in its regular season grind with Los Angeles RB Austin Ekeler joining Matt Harmon to recap a wild Week 1 in the NFL and look ahead to Week 2.

Ekeler and Harmon start off the episode recapping the instant classic that took place between the Dolphins and Chargers and what lasting fantasy implications could be drawn from each of the high powered offense's performances in Week 1. From Canton, Ohio at the Fantasy Football Expo, Matt Harmon and Andy Behrens connect in person to kick off our draft strategy week by hitting on all the biggest pre-draft strategy talkings points this month.

But first, the two react, and try to not overreact, to the biggest storylines from this weekend's preseason action. Harmon and Behrens discuss if preseason games actually matter and what, if anything, can be extrapolated for fantasy drafts later this month.

They said it couldn't be done. They said our positions week already covered the four major categories in quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers & tight ends. But they have underestimated us once again, because this is indeed, our kickers & defensive position preview episode.

Yes, that's right; Matt Harmon & Andy Behrens devote a bulk of this episode to preparing fantasy managers for the two most overlooked and eye-rolled positions on the roster.

We continue positional preview week on the pod by taking a look at Matt Harmon's claim to fame and favorite position: The wide receivers. Joining Harmon on the pod is Fantasy Life's Dwain McFarland to dissect arguably the single most important (and polarizing) position in fantasy football.

August 1st is finally here and it's time to finally kick off the 2023 fantasy football season in earnest! Matt Harmon kicks off the month with Dalton Del Don, announcing a couple big changes to the podcast, starting with the most important: we're now the Yahoo Fantasy Football Show. In the final episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast (new show name & artwork coming next week!), Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski go through the news of the day as NFL teams prepare for training camp.

They start by talking about #1 overall pick Bryce Young, who has already been named the starting QB of the Carolina Panthers. This isn’t a normal team for a #1 pick, and the Panthers might be ready to win the division this season.

Brock Purdy has been cleared to play football, although he is on a “pitch count”, and the guys discuss whether this changes anything about how they have San Francisco 49ers WRs and TEs ranked heading into draft season.

Aaron Rodgers re-worked his contract with the New York Jets to free up some money, and Scott is starting to get excited at the prospect of drafting Rodgers in fantasy this year.

J.K. Dobbins has a “complicated” injury situation, per Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, and Jonathan Taylor’s agent got into a fight on twitter with Colts owner Jim Irsay. Things are still tough for NFL running backs.

Sean Payton didn’t hold back when talking about what went wrong with the Denver Broncos last season, putting the blame squarely on Nathaniel Hackett. Are we underrating just how big of a coaching upgrade Denver is getting?

Matt Harmon and Kate Magdziuk kick off this episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast by going through the news of the day, mostly having to do with running backs signing 1-year contracts that have a lot of “up to” in the total amount.

They also talk about a few enigmatic young WRs that are exciting on the field but maybe can’t avoid getting into some sort of trouble off of it before discussing the odd 1-year deal that will bring TE Jimmy Graham back to the New Orleans Saints.

As a way of preparing for training camp, Matt and Kate play a game of “Mini-camp mirage or Training camp tea leaf?” They go through some of the stories we heard at mini-camp to decide which ones, if any, are worth keeping an eye on in August.

Finally, Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews joins Matt to talk about his experience as a professional athlete with type-1 diabetes and also discusses how excited he is to be playing in a new offense in Baltimore, and with so many talented WRs.

With training camps getting started across the league, Matt Harmon and Andy Behrens wrap up our countdown to camp mini series by posing their biggest fantasy questions at the WR and TE position heading into August.

But first, the two had to react to the big NFL news of the week: Denzel Mims getting traded to the Lions. Yes, of course they also touched on the Washington organization getting rid of Dan Snyder as well, but the two also conduct a deep dive to see if Mims could be fantasy relevant with his new team in Detroit.

Harmon and Behrens then share their three biggest questions at the WR and TE position before providing some 'honorable mention' questions as well.

Harmon then ends the show with one of the most intriguing TEs in fantasy football and in real life: Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts. Harmon and Pitts touch on Desmond Ridder, Bijan Robinson and what the expectations are for this young Falcons team heading into 2023.

What a week to have a dedicated podcast for running backs. Matt Harmon and Dalton Del Don continue our mini countdown to camp series by looking at the biggest fantasy questions we want answered at the RB position this August.

How many of you had Jamaal Williams finishing as a top ten running back in fantasy in 2022? Didn't think so.

Continuing our 'Flip the script' series, Matt Harmon and Dalton Del Don attempt to identify this year's Jamaal Williams: A backup running back in real life that becomes an elite fantasy play in 2023.

The two begin with an obvious conversation around David Montgomery taking over Williams' role in Detroit and what we can expect from Williams in New Orleans. Harmon then reveals one of his favorite underrated running backs that just joined Sean Payton in Denver.

The two also attempt to make sense of Seattle, Philadelphia and Kansas City's backfields and what could be the best fantasy plays this season. Unlike the past few podcasts in this series, Harmon and Del Don end up far apart with their top pick for this year's title as 'this year's Jamaal Williams.' Producer Collin comes in the end to break the tie and announce the winner.

Matt Harmon and Andy Behrens continue our summer 'Flip the script' series by trying to identify this year's Amon-Ra St. Brown: A dark horse WR candidate that will finish in the top 10 in fantasy scoring in 2023.

The two start by looking at which WR in Jacksonville will be the primary option for Trevor Lawrence this season and if that can produce elite fantasy production. The two also agree Drake London is ready to take off in Atlanta and make the second year leap into super stardom. Harmon and Behrens then discuss if we can expect bounce back elite seasons for Michael Pittman and Chris Godwin.

Harmon also believes people will continue to over look Tyler Lockett in Seattle with the addition of Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The two also discuss if we can expect a leap in year two for Kenny Pickett and if that means one of his top WR options could be a dark horse fantasy stud.

Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski continue our summer flip the script series by trying to identify this year's Rams: A team that falls off a cliff into a rebuild.

Harmon and Pianowski begin the podcast by eliminating the more obvious answers such as the Cardinals, Buccaneers and Raiders before. The two then move on the 'more likely' candidates.

Pianowski discusses the demise of the Patriots dynasty and what the future could look like for Bill Belichick and if he'd ever consider pulling a Brady and leaving New England to join a championship contender in 2024.
