Hey Dog Lover,🐾
If you've brought home a rescue dog, you’ve probably heard (or said), “She must have been abused…” or “He’s like this because of his past.” And while backstory can matter—it’s not the whole story.

In this episode, we’re gently challenging the rescue narrative. Because pity might feel kind, but it can unintentionally disempower your dog. And your dog? They’re capable of so much more than their history.

We’re diving into:

  • Why assumptions about your dog’s past can shape their future

  • The difference between empathy and enabling

  • Why your dog’s story is a starting point, not a sentence

  • How to stop over-accommodating and start advocating

  • What to do instead of explaining behavior away

If you’ve ever felt stuck between compassion and confusion—this one’s for you.

Hope you enjoy this one!

Tracy

Hey Dog Lover! 🐾

Can you teach a dog to be calm?

Spoiler: not exactly. Because calm isn’t a command—it’s a state. And your dog isn’t just listening to what you say… they’re feeling who you are.

In this episode, I’m breaking down one of the biggest myths in dog behaviour: that we can train calm into our dogs. Instead, we explore why obedience is not the same as regulation—and how to become the kind of leader your dog can actually trust.

You’ll learn:

  • Why stillness isn’t the same as settled

  • How your energy shapes your dog’s behavior (even when you don’t mean it to)

  • Nelson Hodges’ brilliant insight on how dogs respond to conditions, not commands

  • What to do before the leash goes on, and how to practice calm before the chaos

  • The power of “Be With” sessions—and how they build trust without saying a word

This is a must-listen if:
🐾 You’ve ever snapped “CALM DOWN” mid-meltdown
🐾 You feel like you’re doing all the right things, but your dog’s still anxious or reactive
🐾 You want to shift from managing behavior to leading with confidence

Because calm isn’t something you tell your dog to be—it’s something they learn to feel through you.

Hope you enjoy!

Hey dog lover,
You know those moments where your dog reacts out of nowhere? One second everything feels calm… and the next—boom. Barking, lunging, pacing, chaos. It’s confusing, frustrating, and sometimes downright scary.

But here’s the truth: those moments are never as random as they seem.

In this episode, we’re unpacking:

  • Why those “hold your breath” moments matter

  • How stress stacks up—sometimes silently

  • Why dogs remember unfinished conversations

  • And what you can do to interrupt the spiral without panic or punishment

This is a must-listen if you're navigating unpredictable behavior, multi-dog dynamics, or just trying to be a better leader for your reactive or sensitive pup.

Hope you enjoy!

Hey Dog Lover,🐾

Think your dog just needs more exercise?

Think again. In this episode, we’re digging into one of the most overlooked aspects of behaviour and well-being: fulfilment.

It’s not about endless fetch or racking up steps—it’s about understanding what truly lights your dog up and letting them express that joy in ways that build connection, not chaos.

You’ll hear:

  • Why fulfilment is non-negotiable for pro-social behaviour

  • How our dogs' different breeds and genetics show us what true joy looks like for THEM.

  • Easy ways to create a more enriching, purposeful life for your dog (and yourself!)

This episode is your permission slip to get a little weird with your dog ( who cares what the neighbours think of you anyway. 😀😂)

Hope you enjoy this one.

Don’t forget to comment, share, and leave a 5 ⭐️ written review —it helps more people discover the heart of what dogs really need.

Next Steps:Join the Fearless Framework Course and community—a powerful space for dog lovers ready to ditch behaviour battles and lean into leadership, connection, and a truly fulfilling life with their dogs. 🎉 Life with your dog is awesome, but it's better with friends. What are you waiting for.

I can't wait to share this amazing journey with you!

36 min
View

Hey Dog Lover,🐾

Have you ever felt that gut punch of fear when your dog lunges, growls, or just gets a little too intense? This episode is for you.

I’m pulling back the curtain on a real moment with my horse Sunny—and sharing how fear, uncertainty, and doubt (aka the FUD Factor) can derail our leadership in a heartbeat.

We’ll unpack:

  • Why fear is a leadership killer—and what to do about it

  • How your nervous system is your training strategy

  • Why responding > reacting matters more than any obedience cue

This is a vulnerable, must-listen episode if you’ve ever thought, “I love my dog, but I’m scared of how they behave.”

If you ever doubted your ability to handle an off-leash dog.

If you have ever wondered: "Do I have what it takes?"

Hope you enjoy this one. 💜

Remember to comment, share, and leave a ⭐️5-star rating!

It will help more overwhelmed dog lovers find their way back to calm.

Next Steps:Join the Fearless Framework course + community.

It’s where you’ll learn to lead with calm confidence, ditch outdated training methods, and finally feel like you and your dog are on the same team again. 🐾

Can't wait to share this journey with you!

26 min

🐾 Hey there, Dog Lover,

If you’ve ever felt like your relationship with your dog revolves around treats, you’re not alone.
The truth is, treats can buy attention... but they can’t build a relationship.

In today’s episode, we're diving into what it really means to lead with trust—not treats.
We’ll talk about why real leadership isn’t about transactions or constant reinforcement, but about becoming the calm, steady, trustworthy presence your dog can depend on—no cookie needed. 🚫🍪

Hope you enjoy this one!
Be sure to share it with your dog-loving friends. 🐾

🐾 Hey there, Dog Lover,

We all want our dogs to like us—it's only natural.
But when you're working with a fearful or reactive dog, likeability isn't the goal. Trust is.

In today’s episode, we’re digging into the hidden trap of trying to "win" your dog's affection—and why focusing on being trusted instead of liked changes everything.
We'll explore what real leadership looks like (hint: it's not about bribery or constant cheerleading) and how you can start showing up as the steady, calm, trustworthy presence your dog actually needs.

And yes... we're having a little fun with a classic "Pick Me, Choose Me" reference from Grey’s Anatomy too. 😉🐾

Hope you enjoy this one!
Be sure to share it with your dog-loving friends who might need a little reminder that they’re already enough. 💜

Cheers!

Hey Dog Lover,

What happens when we stop trying to “fix” our dog — and start asking who they truly are?

In this episode, I sit down with Heather to talk about her incredible journey with Geordie — a dog she once believed she’d never truly connect with. Together, we explore what it means to see the world through your dog’s eyes, to lead with emotional reliability, and to step into a quiet, shared language of partnership.

Heather reflects on:🐾 Moving from confusion to clarity
🐾 The power of calm, present leadership
🐾 Why curiosity changed everything
🐾 And how walks once filled with frustration have become joyful adventures in connection

If you’ve ever felt like you and your dog were living parallel lives — or wondered if a deeper bond was even possible — Heather’s story will remind you:
You’re not alone. And it’s never too late to become the partner your dog has been waiting for.

Hope you enjoy this one!

Hey dog lover!

Okay, so here’s the deal…
You’ve done the training. Your dog knows the cues.
And yet… every walk feels like a strategy session, every outing ends in stress, and you're still left wondering, “Why isn’t this working?”

If that sounds familiar, this episode is for you.

In today’s chat, I’m walking you through three signs that the real issue isn’t obedience—it’s something deeper.

We’ll unpack why your dog might be better off-leash than on, what your exhaustion is trying to tell you, and how to stop micromanaging and start leading in a way that actually feels good for both of you.

And of course, I’ll share what you can do to turn things around—without adding more training to your already overflowing plate.

Let’s trade pressure for partnership.
Let’s build trust instead of managing behaviour.
Let’s get curious (and maybe say “how interesting!” once or twice 😉).

So grab your tea, leash, or laundry basket and let’s dive in.

With heart and a whole lotta calm,
– Tracy 💛

🐾Hey Dog Lover!,

You’ve probably asked it at some point — maybe even this week:
“Is my dog doing this because they’re afraid?”

It’s such a common question… and honestly, a really complicated one.
Because fear can show up in a lot of ways: barking, lunging, freezing, chasing, or even growling. And to make it even trickier? Those same behaviors could also come from frustration, confusion, or instinct.

And when you’re the one holding the leash — trying to read your dog’s body language in real-time, while your own heart rate is going up — well, that’s a lot to ask of yourself.

Here’s the truth I’ve learned:
You can’t see the whole picture when you’re standing in the frame.

That’s why in this episode, I’m walking you through:

  • What fear really looks like (and why it’s not always obvious)

  • The difference between defensive and offensive right brain behavior

  • How emotions and instinct overlap in dogs

  • And why understanding your dog’s Dogonality™ gives you the power to ask better questions — not just get better answers

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering, “Is it fear… or something else?” — this one’s for you.
Let’s slow it down, zoom out, and figure out what’s really going on under the surface.

Hope you enjoy this episode,

Hey there Dog Lover!🐾

This week, Paisley and I sat down to answer some of your most honest, heartfelt questions — and wow, did you deliver.

From a siren-sensitive Malinois who never leaves your side… to a fearless Boston with a taste for freedom… to a big, beautiful German Shepherd whose jumping has turned into bruises and scratches — every question we answered this week was rooted in one thing:
A deep desire to understand.

Here’s what we unpack in this April Q&A episode:🐾 Should you let your fearful dog follow you everywhere?
🐾 What to do when your large, excited dog’s jumping becomes dangerous
🐾 How to know if your dog’s barking is social, defensive, or something else
🐾 When to consider tools like an e-collar — and how to know if you’re ready
🐾 What to do when reactivity becomes a dopamine-driven pattern
🐾 Helping your dog feel safe around guests
🐾 Teaching a larger dog to be gentle with smaller dogs in the home

If you’ve ever found yourself asking:
“Am I doing the right thing?”
“Is this fear, or something else?”
“What if I’m not enough?”
…this episode is for you.

You’re not alone. And more than ever, the world needs the kind of leadership that begins with empathy — not control.

Hope you enjoy this episode!

Hey dog lover 🐾

Have you ever found yourself wondering, “Why isn’t this getting better yet?”
You’re showing up, doing the work, being patient… but your fearful or sensitive dog still seems stuck.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing the story of Levi—a shutdown rescue who couldn’t even be touched when he arrived. He taught me one of the most powerful lessons I’ve ever learned:
Progress doesn’t happen on our timeline.
And sometimes, letting go of the clock is what finally opens the door to trust.

If you’ve been feeling behind, discouraged, or unsure if you’re doing it “right,” this episode is for you.

Hey dog lover! 🐾

Ever feel like you're just the dope at the end of the rope—being dragged along while your dog follows their nose and completely tunes you out? I’ve been there. And so was Chuckles, my husband’s swamp-loving, scent-obsessed Basset Hound who taught me one of the most powerful lessons about fulfillment, relevance, and real connection.

In today’s episode, I take you on a muddy little adventure that changed everything for Chuckles and me—and I just might do the same for you and your dog especially if you're living with a confident, right-brained extrovert who seems more into ditch water than anything you have to offer.

Hey Dog Lover,

Apollo wasn’t the easiest dog to live with. He had a massive prey drive, a fearless attitude, and a knack for chaos — and honestly, there were days I didn’t even like him.

But behind all that intensity… was one of the most fiercely loyal, deeply devoted dogs I’ve ever known.

In this episode, I’m telling the story of Apollo — the dog who made me question everything I thought I knew about leadership, love, and what it means to accept the whole dog, not just the easy parts.

We’ll explore:🐾 How I learned to stop “managing” Apollo’s intensity and start honouring it
🐾 Why the traits that frustrate us most are often signs of something deeper
🐾 What it looks like to lead a strong-willed, big-hearted dog with structure and respect

If you’ve ever had a dog who made you feel like a failure… or tested your patience more than you care to admit… this story is for you.

Because sometimes, the dog who challenges you the most is the one who loves you the hardest.

Hey Dog Lover,

What do you do when your dog couldn’t care less that you exist?

Jayce was one of the most confident, independent dogs I’ve ever worked with — and for the first few days we lived together, I was just the dope at the end of the leash. He didn’t want my attention, my approval, or my connection.

But one weird little moment — involving a frog and a puddle — shifted everything.

In this episode, I’m sharing the full story of my time with Jayce and the powerful lesson he taught me about relevance, leadership, and the quiet magic that happens when we stop trying to matter… and start showing up.

You’ll hear:🐾 What it’s like to live 24/7 with a dog who couldn’t care less about you
🐾 How I stopped chasing connection and started earning it
🐾 Why being invited into your dog’s world is more powerful than any command or cue

This one’s for every dog lover who’s ever felt ignored, invisible, or unimportant in their dog’s eyes. You are not alone — and this story might just change how you see your dog forever.

If you’ve ever wondered, “Why isn’t my dog listening?” or felt like you’re doing all the right things but still struggling to connect—this episode is for you.

Because treats and tricks can only take you so far.

The leadership style your dog really needs isn’t about obedience cues or bribery. It’s about trust, relevance, and understanding who they are at their core.

And that’s where your dog’s Dogonality comes in.

In this episode, I’m breaking down how to lead your dog based on their unique personality—without treats or gimmicks—just trust, understanding, and a whole lot of love. You’ll learn:
🐾 How to lead a Sensitive Soul (RB/I) who needs safety and gentle encouragement.
🐾 Why an Overwhelmed Runner (RB/E-U) needs you to handle threats and create calm.
🐾 How to become part of the adventure for a Fearless Explorer (RB/E-C).
🐾 How to guide a Life of the Party (LB/E) with structured fun.
🐾 And why a Calm Thinker (LB/I) needs to know why you're worth following.

Hey Dog Lover,

Have you ever looked at your dog and thought, “Why are you doing that?” Maybe they freeze, ignore you, or even react in ways that leave you feeling frustrated or confused. It’s easy to assume they’re being stubborn, ignoring you, or just plain difficult. But what if it’s none of those things?

What if it’s a misunderstanding?

In this episode, I’m sharing the 3 most common signs that you might be misunderstanding your dog—and how a simple shift in perspective can change everything. We’ll talk about:
🐾 Why some dogs seem “stubborn,” when really, they’re feeling confused or unsure.
🐾 Why your dog might be ignoring you—and why it’s not personal.
🐾 How stress and uncertainty can look like aggression (and what to do instead).

Because the truth is, every behavior is communication. And when you know how to really listen—through the lens of your dog’s Dogonality—you stop trying to fix behavior, and you start building trust.

I hope you enjoy this episode!

Hey Dog Lover! 🐾

You love your dog—that part is easy. But the deep, beautiful bond where you just get each other? That kind of connection doesn’t happen by chance. It happens when you understand who your dog really is at their core.

Because here’s the truth: love is simple, but understanding is transformational.

In this episode, we’re digging deep into what it really takes to build a bond that feels effortless and unshakable. We’ll explore:

  • 🐾 Why training, treats, and time aren’t enough to create true connection.
  • 🐾 How to move beyond surface-level bonding and connect on a deeper level.
  • 🐾 How understanding your dog’s unique Dogonality can change everything—because when you know how your dog is wired, you stop fighting against their instincts and start working with them.
  • 🐾 Why understanding your dog's Dogonality is the first step in learning how to be the reason and the reward in their life—creating a bond built on trust, leadership, and true connection.

💡 Whether your dog is a Sensitive Soul (RB/I), a Fearless Explorer (RB/E-C), or the Life of the Party (LB/E), this episode will help you uncover what they really need to feel safe, understood, and deeply connected to you.

My dog got spooked by a loud noise—now they’re terrified of certain areas. What should I do?
How do I handle my reactive dog when a threat comes out of nowhere?
Is my dog really protecting me, or is there something else going on with their barking at visitors?

Hey Dog Lover,

“Sit!” It’s the go-to command, the first thing we teach our dogs, the magic word that’s supposed to mean they’re well-behaved and under control. But have you ever stopped to ask why we make our dogs sit in certain situations?

What if, in some cases, asking your dog to sit is actually making them feel more insecure?

Today, we’re diving into why obedience isn’t always the answer—and how sometimes, the very thing we think is helping is actually working against our dogs.

In this episode, we’ll talk about:

  • Why obedience should serve a purpose—not just be about compliance.
  • How forcing a sit in uncomfortable situations might be making your dog feel more trapped.
  • The way a leash can interfere with your dog’s natural communication.
  • What to do instead—so your dog feels safe, understood, and supported.

Next time you instinctively tell your dog to sit, take a moment and ask yourself why. Are you helping your dog feel more secure, or are you unknowingly making them more vulnerable?

Let’s shift the way we think about obedience—because a “good dog” isn’t just an obedient one, but a confident one.

See you inside the episode!

Hey Dog Lover,

Does the thought of having guests over send you into a panic—not because of your guests, but because of your dog? Maybe they bark like a maniac, hide under the table, or pace like they’re planning an escape route. Sound familiar? You’re not alone.

Let's talk about what we can do to set our dog up for success and actually enjoy having friends over again.

In this episode, we’ll dive into:

  • Why dogs struggle with house guests (hint: it’s not just “stranger danger”).
  • How to set your dog up for success before guests arrive.
  • The do’s and don’ts of first greetings (spoiler: no talking, no forcing, just space!).
  • What to do if your dog freaks out when a guest stands up.
  • How to build your dog’s confidence over time so they don’t just tolerate guests, but actually feel safe around them.

This approach is part of my Build Your Brave Protocols inside the Fearful Dog Fearless Framework program. When you join, we can create a step-by-step plan specifically for your dog and your home—because no two dogs are the same!

Hey Dog Lover,

Some people say, “Never let your dog on the couch—it’ll ruin your leadership!”
Others say, “My dog is my baby! Of course, they’re on the furniture!”
Me? I say, have your cake and eat it too! 🍰💪

But here’s the thing—it’s not just about saying yes or no to dogs on the furniture. It’s about understanding how dogs use space, levels, and positioning as part of their communication.

In this episode, we’re digging into:

  • Why the real question isn’t “Can my dog be on the couch?” but “Do I understand what access to space means to a dog?”
  • How dogs use height and positioning as part of their natural social dynamics.
  • Why a no-furniture rule can be a helpful leadership reset (and why it doesn’t have to be forever).
  • How to create clear and consistent rules so your dog doesn’t feel entitled to the couch—but invited when it makes sense.

This isn’t about dominance or control. It’s about clarity, structure, and making intentional choices that support leadership, trust, and a peaceful home.

So whether your couch is already covered in dog hair or you're wondering if your dog’s furniture privileges are affecting their mindset, this episode is for you.

See you inside!

Hey Dog Lover,

We love putting labels on things—especially our dogs. She’s dominant. He’s stubborn. She’s independent. He’s needy. But here’s the thing: those labels don’t tell the whole story. They carry all of our preconceived ideas about what our dog is rather than allowing us to see their behaviour for what it truly is—just information.

Behaviour isn’t a fixed personality trait; it’s a response to the environment, experiences, and emotions. It’s how your dog communicates what’s going on inside.

  • Is your dog really “stubborn,” or do they just not understand what’s being asked?
  • Are they actually “nervous,” or have they just learned that the world can be unpredictable?
  • Could they be more confident and adaptable than you ever imagined?

In this episode, we’re breaking down how to look past the labels and start seeing behaviour as a window into your dog’s experience. Because when you stop defining your dog by their reactions and start understanding why they behave the way they do, everything changes.

And guess what? I have something exciting coming soon! I’m working on the Dogonalities Quiz—a fun and insightful way to help you better understand your dog’s unique way of interacting with the world. Stay tuned!🎉

So grab your coffee (or leash) and let’s talk about it.

Hey Dog Lover! 🐾

We hear all the time that dogs need a leader—but what does that actually mean? Leadership isn’t about control; it’s about being someone worth following…to a dog. And here’s the catch: your dog doesn’t follow just anyone. They follow someone who truly understands them.

In this episode, we’re breaking downfour key ways to be a leader your dog actually wants to follow—by learning who they really are, what fulfills them, and how to show up in a way that makes them feel safe, seen, and understood.

Know Thy Dog → Leadership starts with understanding.
Meet Their Needs, Not Yours → True leadership means fulfilling whatthey need, not what’s convenient for us.
Communicate in a Way They Understand → Dogs follow energy, movement, and clarity—not words.
Be Worthy of Their Trust → Trust is earned through consistency, advocacy, and reliability.

You’ll learnhow to shift from ‘owner’ to true leader, how to make yourself more relevant to your dog, and how to build the kind of trust that makes them WANT to follow you. No more bribing, micromanaging, or relying on obedience tricks—just real, meaningful connection.

Hope you enjoy this episode!

Hey Dog Lover! 🐾

Does your dog's anxiety turn every walk into a stressful event? If your dog is lunging, freezing, or constantly on edge, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to dread walks forever.

In this episode, we’re diving into theC.A.L.M. method—a simple yet powerful framework to make walks more predictable, less stressful, and (dare I say) even enjoyable for both of you!

C – Check the Environment → Spot potential stressors before your dog does.
A – Assess the Situation → Read your dog’s body language—thinking mode or reacting mode?
L – Lead with Confidence → Be the calm, decisive leader your dog can trust.
M – Move with Purpose → Keep things flowing, whether that means pausing, redirecting, or pushing forward.

You’ll learnhow to reduce your dog's fear-based reactions, make proactive choices on walks, and build the trust that transforms your outings. Plus, I’ll share real-life examples of how small shifts in leadership can make a BIG difference for a fearful dog.

Hope you enjoy this episode!

Hey Dog Lover!

I’ll be real with you—I seriously considered cancelling next week’s Calm Down, Dog! Bootcamp. With everything happening in the world, Everything just feels so heavy right now. I wondered, Is this even the right time?

But then I realized… that’s exactly why this needs to happen. We need to connect more than ever over our shared love of dogs now!

Because if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably felt:

🐾 Frustrated that your dog’s anxiety or reactivity isn’t getting better, no matter what you try.
🐾 Overwhelmed by all the advice out there (and still not sure what actually works).
🐾 Exhausted from managing your dog’s emotions on top of your own.
🐾 Alone—like no one really understands how hard this can be.

And honestly? I don’t want you to feel that way anymore.

This bootcamp isn’t about drilling more obedience or “fixing” your dog. It’s about understanding them, leading them, and creating calm—for both of you. It’s about getting out of survival mode and finally feeling like you can breathe again.

So no, I’m not canceling. And if you’re ready for a different approach—one that actually makes sense for you and your dog—I’d love for you to join me. Let’s figure this out together.

Can’t wait to share this with you!

Cheers!

Hey, fellow dog lover! 🐾

Have you ever wondered if your dog is feeling overwhelmed but weren’t quite sure how to tell? Dogs are constantly communicating through subtle body language and behaviour—and learning to recognize these signs and to move into action to help them feel safe and supported.

In this episode, we’re diving into:

The telltale signs of an overwhelmed dog (spoiler: it’s not always what you think!). How stress builds up and why recognizing overwhelm early can prevent reactive behaviours. What to do when your dog is feeling overstimulated—without adding to their stress. Real-life examples (like what happens at the vet clinic) to help you spot overwhelm in action.

The more you understand your dog’s stress signals, the better you can show up for them with confidence and calmness.

Hey Friend! 🐾

You ever notice how your dog seems to pick up on your vibes? Like, if you're stressed, they’re stressed... but if you're chill, they start to relax too? In this episode, we’re diving into emotional mirroring—how your mood directly shapes your dog’s behaviour.

Let me tell you about Lexi, a rescue who had a tough time with reactivity on walks, and I had a rough time dealing with her intensity. With some patience,(which I struggled with) understanding, and this game-changing advice—"Be what you want your dog to be"—Lexi taught me so much!

Here’s what we’re chatting about today:

🧠 The Science of Emotional Mirroring:

How your emotions rub off on your dog. Some cool research from Psychology Today that links heart rate changes between dogs and their humans. What the University of Bristol discovered about how dogs react to human stress smells.

🏡 Creating a Chill Home Environment:

Why simple routines and calm interactions make all the difference. Easy things you can do to help your dog feel safe and curious.

👀 Seeing Things from Your Dog’s Point of View:

Your dog’s reactivity isn’t about you—it's about how they see the world. Why swapping frustration for curiosity can change everything ( "How interesting!" If you know you know 😉).

🌿 Simple Ways to ‘Be What You Want Your Dog to Be’:

Quick breathing exercises to keep yourself grounded. Staying cool and confident when things get tricky. Fun enrichment ideas to keep your dog happy and engaged.

Hey fellow dog lover! 🐾

Does your dog bite or nip every time you try to show them affection? It might be time to rethink how you’re connecting with your dog. In this Q&A episode, I tackle the tough question: "My dog bites me every time I pet him—how do I prevent that?"

The answer might surprise you: stop petting the dog. 😧

While this isn’t the answer most dog lovers want to hear, respecting your dog’s love language is essential rather than teaching them to tolerate ours.

Not all dogs enjoy physical affection, and understanding what makes your dog feel safe and loved is key to building a stronger bond.

If you’ve ever felt confused about how to show affection to a dog that doesn’t like being squished, this episode is for you.

Hey fellow dog lover! 🐾

Want to Build a Beautiful Bond with Your Dog but Don’t Have the Time?

Do you ever feel like a busy schedule makes it impossible to work on your relationship with your dog?

Sally asked a great question in the Living Beyond Obedience Facebook group about how to build a strong bond when working 12-hour days.

In this episode, I’m diving into how relationships with our dogs are not just built through training, but in the tiny moments of influence throughout the day.

Even when time is tight, every moment is an opportunity to strengthen your connection with your dog. It’s all about those small, everyday interactions that add up over time and create a beautiful, lasting bond. I hope this message gives you inspiration and hope in our busy lives!

Cheers!

Hey Dog Lover!

Feeling stuck or overwhelmed when it comes to helping your fearful dog? Maybe you’re caught in the loop of what not to do, or you’ve tried New Year’s resolutions in the past that never really stuck. It’s frustrating, isn’t it?

But here’s the good news: change is possible, and it starts with setting clear, meaningful goals.

In this episode, I’ll walk you through:
1️⃣ Why goal setting is better than New Year’s resolutions.
2️⃣ How to choose a word of the year to guide your journey.
3️⃣ Setting a big goal and breaking it into smaller, actionable steps.
4️⃣ The final step: Who do you need to BE to help your dog thrive?

You don’t have to stay stuck. Let’s make this the year you and your dog take steps forward—together.

Enjoy,
Tracy
