David McCloskey is the author of The Seventh Floor, Moscow X, and Damascus Station. He is a former CIA analyst and former consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Bryan served for 20 years as a U.S. Army officer, retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel in 2018. He was a 3-year starter and captain of the baseball team at the U.S. Military Academy, earning Patriot League All-Decade team in the process. Bryan was commissioned as an aviation officer and flew the AH-64D Apache Longbow while serving in a variety of command and staff positions in the first half of his career, including combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq.  The Army sent Bryan to Stanford University, where he earned a Ph.D. in political science in just three years, before serving as an Academy Professor and the Director of the Combating Terrorism Center from 2012-2018. In this capacity, Bryan briefed the nation’s most senior leaders about the Center’s counterterrorism research, and in 2016 he was invited to testify in front of Congress about the lessons learned from U.S. counterterrorism since 2001. Bryan’s research focused on terrorist group leadership, and his book Targeting Top Terrorists was published by Columbia University Press in 2019.

Today we're joined by Mick Mulroy and Marc Polymeropoulos, both former Senior CIA Officers to talk about the Israeli pager attack on over 3000 Hezbollah operatives and what it could mean going forward.
Michael “Mick” Patrick  Mulroy is the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East. He is a retired CIA Paramilitary Operations Officer in the Special Activities Center and a retired United States Marine. He is currently the President of Fogbow (a company that enables international humanitarian efforts), a Senior Fellow for the Middle East Institute, an ABC News National Security Analyst, a Co-founder of the Lobo Institute,  the Co-president of End Child Soldiering, and on the Board of Advisors for Plato’s Academy Centre and the Aurelius Foundation.
Marc Polymeropoulos retired from the Senior Intelligence Service ranks in 2019 after serving for 26 years in the Intelligence Community in operational field and leadership assignments. He is an expert in counterterrorism, covert action, and human intelligence collection. Marc is one of IC's most highly decorated field officers and has honed a unique leadership style based on decision making under pressure, inclusivity, camaraderie, and competition. His book "Clarity in Crisis:  Leadership Lessons from the CIA" was published in June 2021 by Harper Collins.  Marc's goal is to pass on this knowledge to the sports and business world who can benefit from his unique experiences serving his country in the hot spots of the world.

When Damone Brown enlisted in the US Army, the path to the Army's Special Forces was a rare journey for a black man. Few blacks existed across all military branches of Special Operations -Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. Books about combat are compelling. There's an inherent thirst for the stories about brave men, completing impossible tasks under the worst of conditions. Cry Havoc tells the story of how the Army Rangers emerged from the shadow of the Vietnam War, and morphed themselves into what World War II hero and former commander of US forces in Vietnam General Creighton W. Abrams called, "the finest light infantry in the world." In October of 1983, those men would conduct the first mass combat parachute drop since Vietnam and do so under intense fire from Cuban and Grenadian forces.
Once the Rangers hit the ground, the action didn't stop. Over three days, they cleared the enemy from commanding positions overlooking the airfield, rescued over 400 US medical students, and conducted an air assault on an enemy training facility, an action that was considered a 'suicide mission'. And yet they accomplished all of their missions in the best tradition of their Ranger forefathers.

Born poor, he battled on the streets of the mining towns near Johannesburg; from orphanage to reformatory to warder on Pretoria Central’s ‘Death Row’. Daniel Corbett III served as an elite Navy SEAL operator, part of SEAL Teams 5, 6, and 17. He’s now an ex-military operator for hire. He joined the navy shortly after graduating high school in 2002 and was deployed to Iraq in the summer of 2005 with SEAL Team 5. He joined SEAL Team 6 in 2007, deploying to various locations around the world. In 2010, Daniel returned to the West Coast and began instructing at the Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command (NSWBTC). Daniel ended his active-duty career after two years with NSWBTC and quickly fell into the world of private military contracting. Daniel joined the active reserves in 2014 and maintained his active reserve status until 2019. In 2017, Daniel made international news when he was thrown in jail in Belgrade, Serbia, for eighteen months after traveling there as a private contractor to track a terrorist financier. Daniel still monitors international news and continues to entertain phone calls and meetings with those who need unique solutions to unique problems.

Bill was born in Wuerzburg, Germany on October 22, 1970 at an Army Hospital. He enlisted in the
United States Army on 24 March 1993 and served his first four years with Company B, 3 rd Battalion,
75 th Ranger Regiment (Airborne) at Fort Benning, Georgia. After completing the Special Forces
Qualification Course in 1999, he was assigned to Company B, 1 st Battalion, 10 th Special Forces Group
(Airborne) at Panzer Kaserne, Germany.
From 1999 through 2004, Bill served in several positions on Special Forces Operational Detachments
Alpha (SFODA) 024 and 036, 1 st BN, 10 th SFG (A) culminating as a Senior Medical Sergeant and Cell
Leader. In May 2004, he joined Company D, 2 nd BN, 1 st Special Warfare Training Group (A) as a
Senior Instructor/Writer for the Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance Target Analysis and
Exploitation Techniques Course. Bill returned to Germany to serve in the Commander’s In-extremis
Force, CO C, 1 st BN 10 th SFG (A) for SFODA 0136. In July 2011 Bill became the Company
Operations Sergeant for the newly formed Crisis Response Force, CO C, 2 nd BN, 10 th SFG(A) at Fort
Carson, Colorado. He next served as the Group Operations Sergeant until selected as 1SG,
Headquarters Company where he served from November 2012 to May 2014.
In 2015 Bill became the Company Sergeant Major for Company A, 2 nd BN, 10 th SFG (A) for two years.
He then served as the NSOCC-A/SOJTF-A CJ3 SGM from November 2017 to September 2018. In
January 2019, Bill was appointed 2 nd BN, 7 th SFG (A) Command Sergeant Major. In 2020 Bill was
appointed as the Group Command Sergeant Major for 2 nd Special Warfare Training Group (A). In
January 2024 Bill retired after 30 years of service.
Bill participated in Operations JOINT GUARDIAN in Kosovo, JOINT FORGE and BOLERO in Bosnia,
IRAQI FREEDOM and NEW DAWN in Iraq, ENDURING FREEDOM – TRANS SAHARA, ODYSSEY
DAWN, AND OBSERVENT COMPASS in Africa, and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL and RESOLUTE
SUPPORT in Afghanistan. He has deployed numerous times with EUCOM, CENTCOM, AFRICOM,
SOUTHCOM, and various unnamed operations.

Robert Young Pelton is a Canadian-American author, journalist, and documentary film director. Pelton's work usually consists of conflict reporting and interviews with military and political figures in war zones. Pelton has been present at conflicts such as the Battle of Qala-i-Jangi in Afghanistan, the Battle of Grozny (1999–2000) in Chechnya, the rebel siege to take Monrovia in Liberia, and the siege on Villa Somalia in Mogadishu, and has been with ground forces in about 40 other conflicts. He spent time with the Taliban and the Northern Alliance pre-9/11, the CIA during the hunt for Osama bin Laden and also with both insurgents and Blackwater security contractors during the war in Iraq. Pelton's regularly published survival and political guide The World's Most Dangerous Places, provides practical and survival information for people who work and travel in high-risk zones, and is a New York Times bestseller.[8] He was also the host of the Discovery Travel Channel series entitled Robert Young Pelton's The World's Most Dangerous Places from 1998 to 2003. Now residing in Los Angeles, Pelton currently writes books and produces documentaries on conflict-related subjects and documentaries.

A native of Charlotte, NC, Matt graduated from U.S. Naval Academy in 1991 with a B.S. in Ocean Engineering.  He graduated Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training in 1992 with class 179 and was subsequently assigned to the East Coast where he served in various SEAL Teams,  SEAL Delivery Vehicle Teams and Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG). Matt commanded at every level in the Naval Special Warfare Community to include a Squadron at  NSWDG, SEAL Team TWO, Naval Special Warfare Unit THREE, and Naval Special Warfare Group FOUR.  He served staff tours at the Joint Special Operations Command in Fort Bragg, NC; as the Operations Officer at Naval Special Warfare Group TWO in Virginia Beach, VA;  and in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict (ASD SO/LIC) in the Pentagon.
