Jay Shetty sits down with Charles Duhigg to talk about forming habits, how to think more deeply, and our overall well-being. Habits are deeply ingrained in us, we do them unconsciously and automatically. This is why many people find it difficult to drop negative habits and form positive ones. It is difficult and would often require strong willpower and clear motivation. Yes, it’s difficult but never impossible.

Charles Duhigg, journalist, a New York times bestselling author. He wrote the Power of Habit and Smarter, Faster, Better, which talk about productivity habits, and the science behind it. He joined the New York Times as a staff writer in 2006 and was part of the team that won the 2013 Pulitzer prize in explanatory journalism for the iEconomy, a series that examines the global economy through the lens of Apple.

Jay Shetty sits down with Lilly Singh to talk about breaking free from the norm and knowing how to become the person you want to be. Our society often has rules, standards, and systems that are seen as absolute, unbending, and necessary. Most people aren’t given the chance to be themselves, work in their own space, and process their experiences at their own pace. What happens when you get to think differently and contribute positively to the world in another way?

Lilly Singh is an incredibly talented, multifaceted entertainer, actress, producer, writer, and creator. A leading force in the digital world, she has amassed a global audience of over 38 million followers across our social media channels, where she writes, directs, producers, and stars in comedic and inspirational videos. Currently, Lily can be seen in the second season of Hulu's comedy, Dollface, where she will play, Liv, a queer borrow note with a confident sense of humor opposite Shay Mitchell. This coming April 2022, she's going to be part of the star-studded ensemble cast for the Dreamworks animation action comedy, The Bad Guys. On April 5th, Lilly will release her second book.

Having a space where you feel comfortable to work on your tasks and be productive in your goals, and a safe space for you to be yourself is something we all want for ourselves. But this comfort zone doesn’t offer much room for growth and that is because the repetitive tasks that we do daily to remain productive doesn’t lead to new discoveries, challenges, and creativity. Jay Shetty sits down with Dr. Julie Smith to talk about how we deal with our emotions. As a way to cope with difficult situations, we often attempt to block the negative emotions. We tend to shut ourselves down without realizing that blocking negative emotions also means blocking any other emotion. We are built to feel positive and negative emotions everyday because that’s what makes us human.

Dr. Smith is a Clinical Psychologist, online educator, blogger, and owner of a private practice in Hampshire, England. She has devoted her career to learning everything she can about adult mental health and the intricacies of the human mind. She made it her mission to help as many people as she can to thrive.

Eventually, we lose the partnership we worked so hard to build in the early stages of the relationship.

In this episode of On Purpose, Jay Shetty shares with us different ways to reignite intimacy more naturally to further strengthen our relationship and build better connection with our partner.

Many of us practice the habit of making a new year’s resolution, often to change something, to achieve something, or build something. Our resolutions are pointed toward starting fresh and having a productive year ahead.

But some don’t get to fulfill this list. Some don’t get to make a significant change in their life because they often don’t develop the resolve to fulfill them. The goal is clear but the path to reach that goal is undefined and the intention to create that path isn’t set.

In this episode, Jay Shetty talks about the steps to help you start these significant changes right away and achieve results that are truly life-changing.

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan chats with Jay Shetty about her acting journey. Breaking through the film industry requires a lot of hard work and a lot of people don’t actually take into consideration the amount of work she has put in to continuously play the title role. Add in a good amount of luck and her will to stand for herself and never shy away from asking questions.

Maitreyi is best known for portraying Devi Vishwakumar, a 15-year-old high school sophomore, in Netflix's hit series, Never Have I Ever. She created her audition tape at a local library, using her mother's camera, eventually being asked to send four more videos, before having a screen test in Los Angeles and being offered the role. Maitreyi is very vocal about diversity and standing up for yourself.

What are your expectations in your current relationship? Do you wish for your partner to like the things that you like, enjoy the things that you enjoy doing, and share the same passion with you? Or do you want your partner to carve their own path along with you?

In many relationships, this idealism that your partner needs to like what you like, love what you love, and hate what you hate in the pretext that it should be how they show their love for you can be toxic. It can strip away your partner's identity and freedom. It can be suffocating.

In this episode of On Purpose, Jay Shetty tells us the common mistakes we make that don't help our relationships grow and what you can do now to strengthen it.

Robert Greene sits down with Jay Shetty to talk about our inner power. How we react to situations, the emotions we pour in, and the amount of control we have over our reactions defines how much power we have over ourselves. When you’re out of control and not in tune with your reality, you become toxic and this toxicity feeds your greed which eventually destroys that raw power within you.

Robert is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of Seduction, The 33 Strategies of War, The 50th Law, and Mastery. In his book, The Laws of Human Nature, he turns to the most important subject of all – understanding people’s drives and motivations, even when they are unconscious of them themselves.

Maya Shankar sits down with Jay Shetty to talk about taking lessons from other people’s stories. While it is easy to inspire people to change when you have the tools and right environment to inspire them, it’s difficult to change a person’s mind. This is because our mind sticks to our own reality, it believes the circumstances that we are in, and it associates with the community that we belong to.

Maya is currently the Senior Director of Behavioral Economics at Google and is the Creator, Host, and Executive Producer of “A Slight Change of Plans”, a podcast with Pushkin Industries. Maya previously served as a Senior Advisor in the Obama White House, where she founded and served as Chair of the White House's Behavioral Science Team. In 2016, she served as the first Behavioral Science Advisor to the United Nations under Ban Ki-moon.

Our insecurities are a reflection of how we view ourselves and how we take people’s comments about us. If we let comments and thoughts that aren’t our own dictate how we live our lives, we will only end up with deeper insecurities.

The more we let other people’s thoughts and opinions affect our own decisions and how we see ourselves, we become blind to who we really are and the potential buried deep within us. We can not let these words continue to decide for us.

In this episode of On Purpose, Jay Shetty tells us how to find our own voice and turn these insecurities into stepping stones for healing and self-improvement.
